• Wright (7/5): Comfortable, friendly, homely, great location. - Lovely room, with a lovely host. It is a homestay, so you hear and see the owners coming and going. Parking for a small vehicle at the door. Pretty little garage conversion room, comfy bed, assortment of pillows, tea, coffee, water. Very simple, but homely. Owners kitchen is on the other side of a locked bathroom door, so you can hear them in the kitchen while showering or using the toilet, which is a little off-putting, but nothing major.

• Vanessa Towler Navarro (9/5): Lovely stay – would definitely return! - The bed was super comfy, and the decor showed beautiful attention to detail and creativity (see photos). Bernie was really helpful, attentive and welcoming, with clear instructions for finding the room. It felt private, secure and spotlessly clean, with all the necessities covered, including a fridge, kettle, plates, soap, shampoo, wet wipes, and even sanitary products. Some morning noise from the driveway (room is a garage conversion) and the Wi-Fi was a bit slow (installing a wireless access point in the room would help). But neither would stop us staying again. Highly recommended!

• Pania (8/5): Value-for-money couple/single's unit well located to the Gold Coast beaches - The room was easy to find; excellent instructions. On entry, the bedroom area was welcoming and spacious. There is crockery, a fridge, toaster, kettle etc for making breakfast and storage space for bags. The bathroom has toiletries provided and is also spacious (this is where it adjoins the main house, so there is a bit of kitchen and TV noise audible from the tenants when in the bathroom). There is a bit of noise from time to time - from the main house and from cars going past in the gated complex. It is minor though and wouldn't put me off staying again.

Only negative things was there was no washing machine and no outdoor area to sit in to have a coffee. The apartment was actually a garage conversion.

• Kerri (10/5): Great studio stay - This gorgeous studio is perfect. The location is amazing, it’s newly done, clean, super comfortable and in a really secure spot. Bernie leaves a personalised touch and there was everything we needed. It was so perfect for our weekend trip.
• Richard (4/5): Room is converted garage - Some thought has gone into making room homely Room is a converted garage. Only source of natural light is patio doors. But felt that we had to keep curtains closed at all times for privacy reasons as people could pass right by and see into room. Bathroom is only separated from main property by (locked) wooden door - noise comes through. Bit rough at edges, eg missing trim, exposed plasterboard, holes in wall. Vital message re gaining access to property went missing. Prepared to accept that this is booking.com problem. Host said would follow up but never heard back
• Katherine (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Bernie the host was really approachable and provided good communication. A lovely welcome note and two chocolates were waiting for us when we arrived. We were also only 10 minutes drive from the beach, shopping and cafes/restaurants.

É um estúdio muito simples e pequeno, porém bem aconchegante. Os proprietários são muito amáveis e rápidos de contato. Além disso, fica em um condomínio com um lago maravilhoso ao fundo! Local muito lindo! Infelizmente o banheiro tem uma porta que dá para outro apartamento e conseguíamos ouvir tudo bem alto. Barulho de televisão e conversas. Além disso, faltou luz um dia, porém o proprietário rapidamente nos ajudou e resolveu o problema! Obrigada! 🙏

Very thoughtful provisions including tea, coffee, milk, tissues, cotton buds, chocolates on our bed etc. The neighbourhood was a little noisy, but to be expected in a packed together gated community.

• Rick (7/5): Good - Adjoining door in bathroom that obviously went through to another unit, who had a dog. In the morning my bathroom smelt like dog shit. Apart from that, quite a pleasant stay. Either I was not away if their pets policy or my neighbour had a dog that should not have been there
• Rebecca (7/5): It was the right price for the right form of accommodation. I felt it was worth it. - The bed was SO comfortable, I melted in it at the end of the day! Everything was provided, luxurious white towels. Not too noisy with exception to other people’s cars outside. No bugs or vermin to be seen, clean amenities. Simple and practical. I only took one photo because my focus was not on a review sorry. I didn’t like the smell, it wasn’t people it was cleaning chemical, was a bit strong (maybe spray n wipe). Might not bother others as I have a heightened sense of smell. But I paid for a bed to sleep in and it was exceptionally comfortable.

• Patrick (10/5): Exceptional - A beautifully set up cosy little studio. Easy walk to shops and coffee. On the main transport roads to other parts of the Gold Coast. There was a search required to find the light switches. Especially the one hidden in the back of a cupboard.

The room was spacious and comfortable with all what could be needed for a couple days stay. I also got lucky that tenants from main property just moved out so Bernie gave me access to main living room and the lovely veranda by the water. Would totally stay there again.

I’d also like to mention that I’ve read through previous reviews and I am so impressed because Bernie has addressed them all, it’s clear she has put her heart into this place. For example: - ‘Room was hot upon arrival’ - made sure the aircon was on for my arrival - ‘No soap in shower’ - a great selection now - ‘Needs extra chair’ - 2 chairs available with full cutlery and plate setup ready to go! - ‘Hard to locate’ - has exceptional check in instructions, has really taken the time to ensure guests don’t get stuck or lost Thanks for the stay Bernie, I appreciate your hard work :) (ps. The bed is really comfy and the light switch is in the cupboard)

Very attentive owner who communicated regularly but not too much The bed, while very plush was a little too soft for my particular liking but I wouldn’t say it’s a bad thing. Quite luxurious even

• Mukesh (3/5): I would stay away from this place - It is a single garage converd into a room. Very small, not ideal for more than one person. Ensuite has two way entry and the people in the house were very loud till around 1am. you can hear them talking.

• Jane (1/5): Affordable Luxury Room - I would suggest changing the name. - Chocolate on the bed was probably the only enjoyable experience of the stay. We got told 2 days before our check-in that there were amenities not available as advertised when booking (so no fridge, tv, refrigerator, heated pool and waterfront veranda) - they had an entire month to tell us this, so it was too late to book another place. The place was not clean - we have photos to prove it. It mentioned that this is a loft, its a garage that has been transformed into a room but there is still items that haven't been finished off properly. The bathroom has a connecting door to the main house kitchen and we could hear everything that the owners were busy with. Had to kill cockroach in the bathroom. Felt like one had no privacy, we could not rest and just felt ick.

• Frank (9/5): Relaxing stay - Very clean, friendly hosts. We were left in peace. As the host is new, we requested a couple of things: a teatowel, an additional chair, and maybe later, another small table.
• Natalie (10/5): Perfect short stay for a couple! - Bernie kindly sent clear instructions on how to get to the property and later checked if we successfully got to the place. The unit has all the privacy you may need with your individual entrance, spacious bathroom, and car park just outside the unit. I absolutely loved the availability of all kinds of little things a traveller may need including spray deodorant, cotton pads, toothpaste, liners, soaps, shampoos, teas, sugar, coffee, chocolate, milk, etc. Portable iron board and iron are also there. Very comfy mattress. Air-conditioning for warm/cold weather. We didn't use the AC as it was very comfortable inside with 10C outside at night. Loved everything! Highly and strongly recommend these guys to everyone who's planning a trip to GC.
