Sink was broken, room smelled funny, tv remote was unuseable, no guide, no apps, difficult to watch tv, couldn't use your own apps to watch movies. Not relaxing. Staff was not very friendly coming in. Charged me deposit though I asked three times and they said they would not, not back on my card as yet I don't think. They already had payment, mo need to charge card, very angry about that. Was generally not a good stay and would not recommend

• Kovacs (5/5): Sufficient for a one night stay but nothing special - Breakfast was ok...minimal. The room was basic and as we expected...comfortable and tidy but, like the breakfast, minimal. The location was close to the area we needed to be in Guelph this trip. Price was ok. Staff was helpful and friendly. The soap, shampoo, cream rinse dispensers in the shower were empty. Rooms very small and we were able to hear coughing from the next room all night.

• Joan (7/5): Other than the pet comments the hotel is fine and priced reasonably. - Didn’t stay for breakfast but went to another location to sit down and visit for awhile so can’t evaluate but it smelled good ! The room location was near a barking dog in the night and early a.m. I would prefer to have a choice of a room farther away from pets . Being on the ground floor indicates probably animals have stayed in that room too and the extra blanket I used in the closet didn’t seem as clean and fresh as it could have ,folded without care.Perhaps used for a pet to sleep on? Other suggestion for the pets……it should be equivalent to non smoking arrangements for your guests as some also may have allergies.
• Gina (8/5): it was fine for the weekend - we were not able to do the breakfast due to our scheduling. Hotel was clean. Staff were accomodating for the most part. We saw some renos happening so the place was being improved which is good to see. The beds were not super comfortable. Also the bedding wasn't the best. When we explained our dance comp situation each person gave us a different answer about a slightly extended checkout just to gather our stuff.

• Felicia (1/5): Horrible service. - The woman at the front desk on nights it’s RUDE. First she walks away from the front desk, 3 of us waiting to check in. Doesn’t say a word. Goes to the kitchen area, wipes down the Counters. Comes back. A guest came down with her baby while k was standing in line asking for a plug for the bathtub so she could bath the baby. The woman at the desk was so rude to her. We needed a room that accommodates 3 guests, she gave us a room with one king bed, no pull out sofa- which only accommodates two people so I tell her that doesn’t work for me and she argues about refunding my money. It was just a horrible experience. We ended up staying at the Hilton and it was the complete opposite. The staff were wonderful.

About the breakfast there is no options for halal food or vegetable. Laundry wasn't available with the accommodation, it needed some arranges.

• Jennifer (3/5): Hugely disappointing. - Entrance looked nice and modern. Lighting in our room was very dim and we couldn’t open our blinds because there were cars right in front so no privacy. The tub and toilet were very outdated. At Breakfast we weren’t allowed to handle any of the hot food - there was a lady guarding it all and only would her dish the food. We also had to price our room number. The hot food was inedible. Eggs precookedu and in fridge (I have a pic) and then reheated. Completely rubbery and grainy. The waffles were tasteless, the coffee was just disgusting. We ate breakfast at 9am - checkout is 11 - when we came back from the “breakfast” (only there for 15 min) the housekeeping had already parked all their stuff outside our door. Not welcoming and felt like we were being “pushed out”. We had come from the ingersoll comfort inn the day before from a funeral and it was as incredible. So we thought we’d stay at the same chain hotel. A huge disappointment. Stay anywhere else. It felt like they were trying to cut costs and the staff were really trying to control the guests. I was asked at check out how my stay was (by the supervisor). I said welll…it was ok. She didn’t say anything more or ask why and wouldn’t look at me after that. Do better. It’s not hard.

Only 3 people ahead of me so I don’t know why it took that long. I also was not informed on Booking.com that I would have to pay a $200 deposit down that would take 3 to 5 business days to put back on my credit card. That was not ok

We arrived at 9 and there was no sausage. I know we were pushing time. However. There were quite a few people come after us. The eggs were very rubbery but when you are hungry they will suffice. Other items available. Waffles were flying out! The coffee was EXCELLENT!
