- Adam (3/5): Positive was cheep accomadation and was clean. - Location was perfect for us as gokart track was few min away Walls are paper thin so if your a light sleeper you will not get much sleep. Also toilets and shower are down the hall and comunal.

- Di (7/5): Ok value for money but rooms need to be reconfigured so beds in adjoining rooms are not near each other. - Cost The position of the bed was not ideal, it was up against an adjoining door which also had a bed head placed up against it.
It was very disconcerting to hear a voice what seemed to be coming from our room during the evening.
I would highly recommend that the configuration and placement of the bed be changed.
- Kathy (7/5): Locals were welcoming & bar staff were great - It was clean & tidy & I appreciated the age of the building The single bed 😅
- snr_rana (9/5): Nice hotel and good staff service and food - Staff service NA
- Simon (5/5): - Love the plans for the future, but right now it's a 3 Star venue, should be under $100 a night.
I got "glutened" by the pub, even though they assured me the chips were okay!
Two days sick later....
By the way the Scotch Fillet was one of the best dead set, ever. The kitchen got all worried when I reported as a coeliac, couldn't give me a sauce of any type, but supplied the chips!
Don't get it.
Paper thin walls, towels that felt like sand paper
But you know what this Guv will listen, and take it on board, the business will thrive, punters be honest or they won't look learn and grow... Na

- BATGIRL (9/5): Don't expect the Windsorbut you will get value for money, bundled with good country hospitality & at - Good old fashioned pub with authentic traditional vibe and facilities. (Some) recent renos/updates. Huge common room with comfy couches, dining area, and self catering kitchen. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Bar and bistro downstairs plus large outdoor undercover and grassed areas. Room cold with only a small oil heater. Could do with some reverse cycle systems installed (like in the common room). Luckily though, beautiful snuggly rug was on the bed.
Good choice of kitchen appliances inc a large fridge although no hot plates for frying etc.
NB: got a little noisy downstairs on the weekend (it is a pub) but all done and dusted by midnight.

- Lothar (9/5): Simple Old fashioned country pub, Suited me well. -
- Lesley (5/5): Passable - Meals fantastic , staff friendly, beds comfortable, Kitchen/ lounge area great. Everything you need. CLEANLINESS and NO COOLING of any kind in bedrooms unable to open windows because no fly screens.
Next time we will Take our own fan…
- Joseph (6/5): Fine but probably not again. Seemed a little unloved too - Price and location great. The staff were very friendly too. Food was awful, worst butter chicken I've ever had. Rooms adequate but stuffy. Only one window opened and it opened to the smoking area where people were talking/drinking until midnight. Not an issue if you can close a window but without a fan or Aircon this was wasn't an option.
- Sue (5/5): Not very comfortable and dirty. - the bed was clean and comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Kitchen facilities were pretty good. No airconditioning or fan in the room. Bathrooms and toilets were dirty. the whole place was dirty. The meals were not that good. In the bathrooms there was no room to put toiletries while having a wash.
- Bob (8/5): Great value & friendly staff - The Irish backpacker who welcomed us & tended bar. A lovely young lady Other residents leaving unwashed dishes in the sink in the Guests lounge
- Oliver (9/5): Superb -
- Sheree (4/5): For the price it was ok - Evening meal was ok, staff were friendly. No air conditioning in room Communal room was unclean at the sink area.
- Doug (9/5): Had a nice meal, staff were friendly, locals were friendly, room was clean and bed comfortable. -
- Vern (3/5): We actually decided to not stay there as it was just not up to our expectations - The location but there were no food options in town beside the pub and the restaurant was shut. The place was dirty and in real need of renovation. The staff member that greeted us was great but what she had to ffer was not.
- Anize (7/5): Good -
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant - More attendion to cleanliness
- Travis (8/5): Very good -
- Jitendra (2/5): Terrible stay - Nothing much to mention No Fan in room, room had bad smell, dusty, loud sound till 1am not able to sleep for family, staff asked to open windows & had all dirt at windows, were risk of insects & flies, hard time to rest
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Jennie (8/5): Road trip overnighter - Great price for a spontaneous road trip We booked on this site, but the hotel didn't check it. So they didn't know we were coming, and also didn't ever follow up on payment!
- David (10/5): The pub was great , location was perfect , and the staff were great . - The location was perfect for me , the off street car park was great , free fast wi fi is much appreciated , the staff were more than helpful and very friendly . The pub is close to a supermarket and a bakery wich is always a plus . Just the bed , I`m 6`4" but the bed had a rail at the foot so I didn`t fit . Otherwise it was clean with a good mattress , and a choice of 2 pillows .
- Jerry (6/5): Pleasant -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were exceptional.
- Hin (9/5): More of a hostel but great value! - Can't beat the price. Showers nice. Old building, poorly cleaned, no screens on windows, paper thin walls, creaky floors, shared bathrooms.
- Nishara (1/5): The worst place we have ever stayed. Place is not clean as shown in pictures. - Nothing at all. Very unclean place. The beds were full of dust and so does the entire place. The urine smell was unbearable.
- Nishara (1/5): Bad -
- Pedro (8/5): Old hotel in a scary town. - Old place, high ceilings, renovated bathroom ok kitchen, good fridge, ok living room . Advertised as rooms with a bathroom but is shared bathroom. I should have been offered a small discount but management says they’re working on it.
- Anja (3/5): Not coming back - Charme of an old building, beds were clean an comfortable It was dirty and dusty everywhere else, bathroom, toilets, side table in bedroom, windows, floors, …
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional - Big room
Great bathrooms
- Mahzabin (9/5): Superb -
- Liam (7/5): Good - Good price but very basic. Food and service at the pub were great. Walking to the toilet.
- Trask (8/5): Very good -
- Samiddhi (5/5): Passable -
- Matthew (1/5): Worst place I ever stayed in my life. - There was nothing that I liked. First time I stayed in the one place where I have nothing good to say about it. You get what you pay for $80. First of all, the place looked closed we had to navigate through the place to find the lady who drinking and hanging out with her mates out the back. Beforehand I was trying to call her and the pub to tell them that we would be checking in later. I couldn't get through to them the whole day. I know it is a public holiday being the 26th December but they should have better service than this. The place is old and dilapidated. There is no tv in the room. There is a shared bathroom, and the room is dusty and smells funny. The town Cobden is a ghost town. Not a soul around the place. It was so bad that I was willing to pay $220 to stay in a motel in Warrnambool and drive with my partner for 45 minutes. The place gives you the creeps like in those horror movies where if you stay there something bad is going to happen to you.
- Vitalii (7/5): Good -
- Zoey (10/5): Exceptional - Everything we needed- affordable and they catered to my request of flowers for an anniversary!
- Wen (2/5): Once is enough! - This is very quiet place where people live, but the pub is not suitable to people stay overnight: (1) no A/C; (2) no private bathroom; (3) no good bedding under Australia hotel standard and (4) no microwave in room. In fact, this pub is very old and poor if it is as hotel for people stay overnight. I like to say “it is not suit to a family’s travelling actually”. Also I understand that it will need much money for improving its facilities. It is a risk investment. It is very good that the internet(wifi) is fast! Staff are great!
- Micha (4/5): Disappointing - The manager was very friendly and welcoming.
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Even though the pub would not serve dinner to house guests due to a function they had that night, we were directed to the golf club down the road where we got enjoyable and affordable meals. The shared facilities (bath rooms, kitchen) had not been cleaned for a while. They weren't disgusting but not tidy either. They clearly had been used for a couple of days. Not what I expect from a hotel.
Although they normally offer dinner, check before you arrive! May happen that they don't due to a function.
The room was really tiny, just beds. No wardrobes, not even places to hang your clothes.
- Sarah (1/5): Bad - My elbow got stuck in the mattress spring. Bed was horrible!! Shower was filthy
- Terence (5/5): A Country pub. - A Country pub that gave an authentic feel to it.
There was a common room to heat up food and hot drinks, a t.v and radio. Shared facilities and lack of heating in room, paper hanging from bits of ceiling, furniture needs updating.
- Steveng3391 (7/5): Good -
- Nedjo (8/5): Very good -
- Alan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- L. (6/5): stay if there's not a band booked in the pub - people were lovely, food in bistro was nice, bathrooms were clean it was a bit loud in my room. pub downstairs had a 90s cover band on and I could hear every note until 1am.
- Natasha (5/5): Was a great little place other then the vomit was clean neat and warm once the heater was on - Loved the old feel of the pub There were vomit chunk stains on the metal bed drained where I slept closest to the window
Could have at least a couple bottles of water
- Ivon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Urshita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing staff.
- Brown (4/5): Disappointing -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Classic country pub. 90 minutes for children's dinner to be served was very disappointing.
- Earl (8/5): Classic rural community pub - The food was very good and the community vibes were great. I am a travelling music teacher and when the staff learned that they invifhted me to sing a few songs in exchange for a meal, and I ended up having a lovely sing-along with the other diners at the bar
- Antonio (8/5): Very good -
- Chun-hao (10/5): Exceptional - Overall great No
- Tony (7/5): Good -
- Mcconnell (9/5): Very enjoyable short stay in an older, honest local Aussie pub with great food and accomodation. - I love staying in these old pubs when I can. The bed was comfortable and warm. The meals in the downstairs dining room were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to going back if they put a small ensuite in some of the rooms. Lots of the old pubs are doing that now.
- Antony (8/5): Comfortable, short stopover - Didn’t know there was breakfast
Dinner at pub was very good.
A lady asked us on the morning we left if anyone was around as we couldn’t find anyone. When we arrived just before 5 pm we couldn’t get in as it was locked up. Finally after knocking on windows someone let us in. We thought checkin was between 3 and 5 pm.
We tried ringing and no answer.
- Duggan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Achilleas (8/5): Good stay for Grampians - Good price really comfortable bed . Nice shower There was no lock on the door so we felt we couldn’t leave our luggage inside
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- David (7/5): Comfortable and met expectations, staff very friendly -
- Casandra (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (6/5): Very Basic But As Cheap As They Come - It was great to find a bed available within easy driving distance to The Great Ocean Road The room was overly basic and could easily improved if there was a kettle and a bin. However, for the price, you can't expect much. So it was acceptable for a solo traveller passing through.
- Barney (7/5): Excilent - Good value Clean and tidy friendly service
- Dai (5/5): Passable -
- Colin (7/5): Lovely staff doing a good job to bring this pub back. - Great to see pub accommodation available again in Cobden
