Guest Reviews
- Michał (8/5): - Lokalizacja, przestrzeń, wystrój Pościel do poprawy, trochę chłodno (nie było jak włączyć ogrzewania) no i w nocy dość głośno od ulicy (słabe okna, duży ruch - no ale to w zamian za lokalizację)
- Jessica (10/5): Wonderful city break - We had such a wonderful stay at SouthKen Palace Suites. The location couldn’t be better—right opposite the History Museum, making it perfect for exploring the area on foot. It’s also incredibly convenient for transport, cafés, and everything you might need during your stay.
One of the standout features for us was how dog-friendly the suites are. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming, rather than restrictive, which can be hard to find.
The manager was exceptionally helpful throughout—friendly, attentive, and always happy to assist with anything we needed, which really elevated the whole experience.
All in all, we had a fantastic time. Comfortable, well-located, and genuinely welcoming—it’s the kind of place you’d happily return to and recommend to others.
- Claudio (9/5): - Ottima posizione a 5 minuti dalla metro e zona molto tranquilla, personale gentile, ottima pulizia, servizio deposito bagagli gratuito nello stabile.

- Sensationelle Lage. Tolles Ambiente. Sehr sauber. Manager antwortet rasch. Der Wasserdruck schwankt ziemlich. Die Wassertemperatur wechselt.

- Melissa (10/5): - Thie flat/apartment was very spacious. All linens and towels were included. They changed out towels mid stay. Beds were comfortable. Soap, bath products, detergent, cleaning supplies included. Coffee included. There were 2 very large TVs with APPs and Internet. Our Flat (1st floor #2 which is on the 2nd story) had a balcony overlooking the museum. Great location. Staff very responsive. Only one small trash receptical/can in the kitchen. I would recommend placing one in bathroom and in main living room. No oven. Kitchen is very small, but it did have small stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and tea kettle. Very small under counter fridge. The washer dryer is all in one, but there were no instructions on how to use it. I would recommend instructions or the manual.

- Sakłak Gacek (9/5): Stosunek jakości do ceny genialny!
- Fay (9/5): Loved it! - The building and apartment were lovely. Comfy beds, clean and tidy.
Coffee machine and pods were available to use. The kids loved the massive tv.
The area was lively and directly opposite the natural history museum. Underground’s close by, loads of shops and great food places.
The perfect place to stay if you’re not travelling by car.
The balcony was 10/10 with the teens. Parking was abit of a nightmare.
A lot of it is resident only, I did manage to find a spot to park for the night that allowed me to buy a ticket but it had to me moved early the next day and they I had to wait around in the car until the free parking time started.
1-30pm Saturday until 8.30am Monday is free.
There wasn’t much payable street parking in between.

- Barnes (9/5): - As museum people, the locations is phenomenal! It was lovely to make up and walk across the street the museum of natural history. With the rest of London's sights a brief tube ride away, it made accessing our itinerary stop convenient and easy. The apartment has an older feel which made our holiday feel a bit more authentic. While it felt older, the kitchen and bathroom facilities were in perfect working order. It did get a chilly the first night but we were able to adjust the heaters and situate the drapes and shutters to fix that issue. The beds were a bit uncomfortable but perfectly manageable, especially after long days of walking around the city.
- Matthew (10/5): Great location and we enjoyed our stay - Location amazing and rooms big Kitchen small but not an issue
- kelly (9/5): - Excellent location close to two tube stations
Large & warm Small thing - but it was tricky to reduce the heat which was overpowering in some rooms but better to be too hot than too cold during winter!

- Shellah (7/5): The place is in a very nice area close to all amenities. Improve quality of shower & tissues. - Location, security, cleanliness & spacious rooms The shower wasn't working. The quality of the tissues was very poor made my bum itchy.

- Danielle (10/5): We loved it here and 100% we will be back! - 10/10 for location, 10/10 for bed comfort, 10/10 for size of apartment. They couldn't have been more flexible with check in and check out. We loved it here! Old building, so there were a few unknown house type noises at night, but the rest of it outweighed it - a great place

- Audrey (4/5): Booking.com reviews - This apartment has some beautiful period features, it's directly opposite the Natural History Museum The first floor apartment shares its entrance with 6 other properties, the stairs are threadbare and the dust is accumulating.
On opening the door we could smell it had been cleaned and the windows were open. The ceiling are beautiful and original from the late 1800's
Its was such a shame that the property had been furnished so cheaply, this property could command a good rental income with some investment
The shower is rubbish with temperature dodging from scalding to freezing, the kitchen is equipped but tiny, one bedroom facing the road has windows
Which don't fully close so
Your slumber is interrupted with wind and traffic noise, and the smell of weed from the flat below
The lounge has a great TV but it's sold, and one lamp so it's actually not a comfy room to sit hi
With not
Much investment it could be so
Much better
As three friends were ended up so uncomfortable about this place we all shared the same bed in the loud room and consequently had 3 hours sleeping booked off
The back of Booking.com reviews and now am left bewildered by who
Leaves these sort of airbrushed reviews
I'm so upset by my stay here
Improbably won't ever book through them again and I am a genius level 3
Owner! Do your self a huge favour and spend a little the return will pay you back 10 fold but it's an absolute insult to let this property out described as it currently is

- Michelle (9/5): All in it was excellent, would recommend to others - Size of property is fantastic. We are a family if 5 with teen kids and it was great that we weren’t all on top of each other. The staff were also amazing, as soon as you asked for something there was someone at the door with it, we were very impressed. Would like a proper shower, and double glazing at the front of the property would be a bonus as the road was noisy at night.
- Joanne (10/5): Excellent location, beautiful building - The location is excellent. The building is beautiful.
- Jorel (10/5): It was a fantastic experience made our first trip to London something to remember. - The location was fantastic, center of everything. There are 2 train stations nearby, made it easy to choose where to get on or off. Very accessible to places like fast food, grocery, pastry shops, coffee shops, and everything anyone needs. Very big bonus is that the Natural History Museum is literally across the street.
As for the rooms, it is as described. They are spacious and the ceilings are highs. We stayed during the height of the heatwave, and the fan helped so much as they are provided for each rooms. The door locks from the main building, and in the flat are well secured. Kitchen and bathroom are small but well-equipped. Water pressure is very strong, as well as hot water is close to boiling.
The communications with the property management is top-notch, very responsive, and accommodating to our requests.
Getting into and out of the flat is stress-free. It would be nice to have to have the options of having single beds.
The pillows would be more sanitary with the use of pillow protector.
- Matthew (10/5): Great, thankyou! - Great flat, perfect location
- Zach (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsti (9/5): Good location. -
- Philip (10/5): Perfectly located and well supported. - I made a mistake with the door lock but the owner was very understanding and saved my bacon. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty.
- Galyn (10/5): It was a perfect place to stay with two kids. - This is right across the street from the Natural History Museum and about a 10 minute walk to Hyde Park. The apartment was nice and warm when we entered which was really nice because it was freezing outside!!
- Viktoriia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Fantastic clean apartment in a great location with a large living area with two big couches. - Fantastic location and very large living area. Street noise could be loud at times.
Kitchen it quite small.
- Robert (8/5): November London Stay - Central location & easy access to underground/ transport options.
Nice and warm in November. Property in need of a little refurbishment to freshen it up, however fairly priced considering the central location.
- Sofie (7/5): Good - Nice big apartment. Comfortable beds. We had not received information about how to access the keys on afternoon on the day of arrival. The owner responded on the phone when we were at the entrance so it worked out but it was stressful.
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb -
- Rachael (9/5): Great location - The location was amazing - looking right on to the museum. Responses to my questions were quick. The living room was the best room in the apartment - a great space and the TV was huge, and the large sofa very comfortable. The high ceilings were impressive. The water pressure / temperature in the shower was great. The kitchen was really useful with good facilities. The bed was very comfortable. Whilst some of the apartment was of a high standard, some rooms could benefit from renovation and updating. The balcony door felt a bit flimsily secured. The location was the main selling point though and the price was reasonable.
- Theo (7/5): An expensive flat in a perfect site but depending in the glory of days past. The conversion was poorly done - however it - The location was perfect. It’s a redo of beautiful old home. It was pretty shabby in fact however the staff were friendly and helpful There was very little finesse in the flat apart from its past glory. The floors need resanding and sealing. The beds were clean and comfortable - the kitchen was very small and lacked an oven. At first there was no water there but this was fixed.
The bathroom— there is serious danger in having a shower into a bath with no safety features— I had a fall due to slipping. There are no grab handles. One my guests also
Slipped but did not fall. I have reported this to the manager.
- Antonino (8/5): Very good -
- Bob (6/5): Enjoyable with pleasant and helpful cleaning staff. - Breakfast n/ a location good Kitchen trap dribbling only - improved pressure needed. Lack of waste bins/ baskets. Balcony and windows in poor condition. Shower mat for bath not provided.
- Mas (9/5): Superb - Excellent location - so central to everything, property manager was very responsive, able to store luggage/bags before check-in/after check-out.
- Ivanna (7/5): On the whole a good stay. Very convenient. - Great location. Spacious lounge and living area. Reasonable size bedrooms although main bedroom had no opening windows. Grocery Shops conveniently nearby. Easy access to public transport. We were a family of 6 and The kitchen is tiny to cook for 6 people and not very well kitted out. The kitchen sink had a dribble of water in the sink so we had to use water from the bathroom to wash up.
- Kimberley (7/5): Good -
- Rob (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (9/5): Perfect! - Location!!!! Large and airy!!! Awesome to have a balcony
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jinny (8/5): Perfect location for London holiday. - Location - close to many attractions in London. Kitchen tab very slow - just dribble , only one small garbage bin in whole house.
- Konrad (8/5): Would come again. Very good option for groups/families looking for a decent place to stay. - Location top notch, nice, friendly and safe neighborhood, walking distance to the Museums, to South Kensington Station (3 lines there), and to the breakfast places. Living room is the greatest asset, it's spacious and comfy, feels almost posh. The big bedroom is spacious and quiet. Lift to the apartment. Cool balcony. Very good contact with the host. Medium level noise from the street in the morning in the smaller bedroom. I was not able to shut the balcony door tightly, so some cold air/wind blows through at night, doesn't help with the noise either. Kitchen small yet functional, but don't expect any luxuries there.
- Meghana (10/5): It’s a beautiful apartment right opposite to the natural history museum. We stayed in the one that accommodates 6 people - The apartment is absolutely stunning. The location is spot on
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - Great location, very spacious. A little run down could do with a bit of TLC in places
- Giorgiagiorgigiorgia (9/5): Superb - the self check in and check out, they have been super available on the several problems that we had. a lot of work around the apartment that was noisy then. heating system not working, but they were very available and came to help soon. some leak in the bathroom but not solvable. for the rest all amazing!
- Christine (7/5): Good -
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious clean great location great communication with apartment manager Windows/ doors leading to balcony from front bedroom not as secure as they could be
- Rajinder (8/5): Excellent value for money. - Beautiful living/dining room and bedroom. Great location. Tiny kitchen. Everything outside the room itself suggests there’s a lot of work going on regularly.
- Eleni (9/5): Superb - Exceptionally kind and helpful staff
- Maria (9/5): Pleasant stay - Property and Place are great Too cold at this time of the year
- Janet (9/5): We enjoyed our stay. - Love the Victorian style house. They have a huge TV, and board games to play. The shower has great pressure. No parking
- Rene (9/5): Central and close to museum, park and station - Close to Natural history museum. Close to station
- Sally (7/5): Fantastic location. Comfy beds and clean accomodation. - The location was great! The view was fantastic! The road noise kept friends awake. The bathroom was tired.
- Patrick (5/5): Would not necessarily recommend the flat :-( - Excellent location !
Landlord responsive Cleanliness was questionable
Upon arrival and although we had booked for 5 people, bed linen and towels were only available for 4
We found mouse droppings on the mattress of the bed sofa…thank god the landlord had it changed straight away.
Renovation works currently taking place in the whole house, and we would have appreciated to get informed beforehand
- Gunsav (5/5): Good location - Location Lights were not working and all the toilet papers were wet and damp.
- Martin (7/5): Good -
- Anna (9/5): Great place to stay next to museum - Excellent location, very high ceilings and beautiful building, spacious - Not enough hot water in the boiler for 5 people to take a shower
- Quite chilly inside without an opportunity to regulate the temperature
- Trevor (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (9/5): Great for short stays and touring London as very central - The main room advertised really is lovely and big. The location is absolutely brilliant. Close to the museums and tube stations. It was clean and had everything we needed. We were gone most of the day sightseeing and really just returned to sleep there. 1. The WiFi didn’t work at all (wasn’t an issue for us as we were gone the whole day).
2. The water pressure in the kitchen is almost zero.
3. If you plan on cooking we really don’t think this is the place for you. The kitchen is an arm’s length big and limited equipment. Microwave is great though!
4. Construction begins at 8:30 so there was drilling and banging. Nothing that bothered us as we weren’t there most of the day but something I would want to know. Again, perfect for short stays and when you spend most of the time out of the apartment.
- Bianca (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and spacious The only thing i would change is the wifi
- Toni (9/5): Spacious well positioned first floor flat - A very spacious first floor flat very close to the underground and shops. Easy check in and good communication. Older style, but clean.
- Rachelle (9/5): Superb -
- Iqbal (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Gregory (8/5): Very good -
- Seamus (7/5): Good - The shower faucet was somewhat hazardous - it need to be held by hand and the holder for it was not secure. I almost got badly burned when showering because of this.
- Jane (9/5): Superb - Location, space, comfortable, warm. Great response from owner. Shower difficult
- Lynne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (7/5): Good - Location was great. Manager/owner couldn't have been more accommodating, enabling us to drop cases off early on arrival and leave them until we were due to get our train home in the evening Bathroom could do with some TLC and some welcome guest toiletries would be nice instead of the disposable slippers. Couldn't get main channels on the TV. Would be nice to have a chair in the bedroom to place clothes. Didn't appear to be any tea towels so although we washed up, could not dry up.
- Ayse (9/5): Great location, clean place and lovely staff - It was so clean, great location. The staff were amazing, very helpful. Overall, great amd spacious place to stay Everything was good.
- Derek (10/5): Lovely apartment in a good location - Beautiful apartment Nothing
- Eleanore (8/5): Great location - Amazing location literally across the road from the national history museum
2 great size bedrooms and also room in the lounge if needed
Parking very close to which was reasonable for London!
Lovely added touches to have coffee pods and some things in kitchen as saved us having to go out in the morning just literally brought some milk!
- Lorena (10/5): Amazing - Everything was clean. Such a big living room, it looks like a palace. .
- Lianne (10/5): Perfect accommodation for our visit. Location was great and convenient to transport links. - The property was clean, spacious and well furnished. There was nothing to dislike
- Stefan (8/5): Very good - The location and rooms were nice. The television with netflix was a fun addition to the rooms , usually in hotels it's a television with a just a few channels. It's was bit noisy in the room on the roadside. But it was only a minor concern and to be expected next to such a busy road.
- Gundega (10/5): Exceptional - Location and interior was super. I missed adapter for electrical devices. And pillows were too big. For children it was crazy big.
- Tilman (10/5): We enjojed our stay very much in this nice Appartement - It is a perfect place, close to many attractions in London , many facilities for getting a good Dinner. Perfect for a family, nice rooms in a origin traditional London house. It’s close to a big road, you shouldn‘t have a problem with traffic-sound…
- Iris (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location right outside of natural history and really close access to the tube. Lounge was massive and rooms were decent size, good for a group. Really easy communication with host. Would definitely recommend!
- Alexandra (3/5): Rating not reflecting the reality - The location as it is in the proximity of many atractions and places you could see The furniture is more than old, the whole apartment had a really bad smell that was very disturbing and the windows don’t close properly so we could hear all the noise from the main street all night. It was very cold inside and the internet connection was poor, if i’m being generous. The bathroom was a disgrace, everything in it very old and it was so cold that you couldn’t have had a bath even if the conditions would have been better. Everything is very old and i understand it’s an old building but a remodelation is way past due. I’ve booked accomodation in even older buildings but the inside was outstanding. Cleanliness level was ok.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Fabulous location - Fantastic location opposite the national history museum. Lounge and bedrooms beautifully furnished. Apartment very clean. Nice to have a little balcony to sit out on. Lovely original features. Owners very easy to communicate with and helpful. Pocket-sized kitchen but fine as we didn't need to cook anything.
- Richard (9/5): Brilliant. - Location and spaciousness.
- Jade (10/5): Beautiful apartment in an even more prettier location! - Everything was perfect. The flat was easy to find and in the best location! Inside it was just beautiful and spacious with large rooms for me and my friends to sleep in. The water pressure was the best. It’s so close to main streets and you hear literally no traffic outside. (also we LOVED there was fans in every room!). Me and my friends would defo book here again, such a lovely place! N/a
- Katherine (10/5): Amazing experience! I would love to stay here again! - Amazing location, very clean, beautiful interior design! Nothing
- James (6/5): Amazing location and lots of room, flat has a few niggles that need sorting - Amazing location, lots of room No toilet paper, tea towel or bed linen for sofa bed
Toilet door didn’t shut properly
Shower hose needs replacing
Front bedroom door onto balcony didn’t shut properly, letting extra noise in at night from busy road
