Guest Reviews
- Keogh (9/5): - Cosy, peaceful with everything we needed. Fire kept us very warm.
- Terese (9/5): -
- Fiona (9/5): Beautiful- the lyrebird was a highlight. - Listening to whip birds while showering. The compost toilet occasionally gave out smells. Struggled to find the light switches.
- Claudia (10/5): The perfect rustic cabin, with every detail thought out, in the most magic bushland setting. - Absolutely perfect place to escape the everyday and reconnect with nature in the most beautiful cabin surrounded by magic bushland that hummed a sweet symphony. The decor and reading material were inspiring and instantly welcoming. We took a stroll around the property with blossoms falling upon us and paving the path before us as we took in the colours of the forest and intricately gnarled trees. A place of deep inspiring creativity with the cabin stocked with everything one needs (including fresh eggs and some welcome chocolate). We could have stayed forever, will definitely return and couldn't recommend highly enough.
- Paula (9/5): Superb -
- Mitchell (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - The location was quiet, peaceful and it was great to be able to switch off from the world. There was fresh eggs, butter, grounded coffee and milk supplied which made breakfast time a breeze (a classic B&E roll does the trick on trips away). It was only a 15 minute trip to shops and restaurants, so it was very easy to be able to get supplies or go out to dinner/lunch or breakfast.
Be careful at night whilst driving and keep your eyes peeled for cheeky wombats that may pop out unexpectedly.
We enjoyed having the Bluetooth speaker to connect to, to listen to music whilst we played board games.
The information book was very helpful with determining which walks to go on and information on places to eat.
The owner was absolutely love to deal with and I would stay here again :)
- Laura (10/5): Nature and art lovers’ paradise. - Property is located in beautiful bushland surrounded by birds and wildlife. Interior was beautifully styled, with lots of great art and literature. N/A

- David (9/5): Very relaxing - Property is in a beautiful location and easy to get to. Completely serene and having no phone reception is uncomfortable at first but a great circuit breaker from how we spend every day glued to our phones. The drives through the tall timber and fern gullies with crystal clear streams of the nearby national park was a highlight. I wouldn’t suggest you take your Audi R8 but if you have an AWD or 4WD it’s a must (a 2WD would probably make it but slower going due to loose rocks and inclines in some parts). Bed was comfortable the rustic accomodation is charming.
- Cathy (8/5): Anniversary weekend - It was lovely to sit in the chair inside with the sun coming in through the window. We took the opportunity to sit and relax without tv and other distractions. We had a sick relative and I did struggle sometimes not knowing what was going on with not having phone reception.
- Kampan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerrie (9/5): A beautiful place to stay, get away and relax! - The location was beautiful and the cabin invitingly decorated with art, pot plants and even sprays of native flowers, also an interesting selection of books and magazines to relax with and learn about the local area. Everything you need to settle in and make simple meals was there, milk, butter, oil, S&P, tea and coffee etc. Just walk out the door for interesting bushwalking or enjoy Braidwood cafes for breakfast/lunch. We loved it overall and if your mindset is 'glamping' it is luxurious, but if you can't get by without electric conveniences like a microwave, toaster (there is a 1 slice toaster you an use on the gas) etc you might struggle. Completely no reception in the cabin is great for switching off but annoying if you need to make a call late at night and have to go for a walk up the hill and the composing toilet is a bit different. Also worth noting there are not a lot of dinner options in Braidwood. we were planning to go out for our anniversary dinner Saturday night but all the restaurants we liked the look of closed at 2pm. The IGA provided us with delicious steak and veggies though so we weren't too sad :)
One last thing - take enclosed shoes for exploring!
