Guest Reviews
- Tweed (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay, using this as a base to conduct lots of sight seeing in Tokyo. - We liked the “geisha” experience of the property, with the traditional Japanese decor. It was conveniently located, not far to walk to the A3 entrance to Oshiage station and access Skytree. Having the small grocery store downstairs was a real bonus - we used that a lot. The size of the bed was quite small in width, two people felt a little tight.

- Dean (7/5): Got the job done - Position, decor, easy fruition. The chairs are harder than the floor.
- Clemens (10/5): - Very nice japanese style small apartment
- Bernd (10/5): Perfekt zur Erkundung von Tokyo - Die Lage und die praktische Ausstattung
Die Freundlichkeit des Gastgebers
Die ruhige Lage, Nachtruhe war garantiert!

- Rob (7/5): Making the most of an old Japanese city appartment - The host was communicative (via chat function), all instructions were clean and the small apartment has a lot of practical goodies to use. The location is near Tokyo Tower, the neighbourhood doesn't look like the best The apartment is really old and although everything works, it shows it's old. The advertised decoration looks nice on the pictures, but it's all kinda cheap and plastic. It is not in a very nice building either, but hey, it works and you are there to visit the city right?
- Martin (10/5): Unique apartment with great location. - Unique style and fun place with a great atmosphere.
Me and my friend slept on futons and it was such fun experience.
The check-in and checkout experience was super easy.
Apartment is within walking distance of many decent places.
My favorite coffee place we visited daily was Unlimited Coffee near sky tree.
We got some great recommendations for public bath in Oshiage.
This is my second time staying here in this apartment and the second time was with my friend and for more days. I definitely like to stay for a few days having that as a base while exploring nearby places in Tokyo.

Alles da, was man braucht. Alles insgesamt klein aber fein. Nur die Satainbettwäsche. Die war etwas unangenehm bei der Hitze. Aber das ist vermutlich Geschmacksache.
- Helen (9/5): -
- Dariusz (10/5): Nice unique place near Skytree - Close to subway and minishop and Skytree. Unique climate. a/c OK . -
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional - The host is lovely and very accommodating. The house was incredibly clean.
- Thi (4/5): Disappointed. - Location The apartment building is old and deteriorating. The long-standing musty odor in the bathroom is impossible to conceal.
The listing photos are blatantly misleading — manipulated through angles and lighting to deceive viewers into thinking the space is spacious, tastefully designed, and unique. In reality, the room is an eyesore: a chaotic mishmash of cheap materials, outdated and broken furnishings, and garish, incoherent decor.
The balcony is filthy and littered with trash. The floorboards creak loudly with every step, making it impossible to move around quietly.
The towels are practically unusable — they don’t absorb water but instead leave fabric fuzz all over the skin.
I paid for a “2-bedroom” apartment, but what I got was two beds separated by a flimsy Japanese-style sliding paper door. There is zero privacy, and it does not meet any reasonable definition of a two-bedroom setup.
- Jihye (8/5): Very good - The location is awesome. It is easy to access Narita Airport (without trasfer) and other main streets of Tokyo. Also there are a lot of shopping areas including some restaurants. Most of all, it takes just 3 or 4 minutes to arrive at Oshiage station at gate A3. The room has some dirt on the home appliances.
There are not enough spaces to put clothes and towels in the bathroom.
- Buzby (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful!
- Yada (10/5): Very good location, lots of restaurants . - I liked location, very convenience to go to airport and every where in Tokyo. The room was big enough for 4 people.Host gave very clear detail to get in room from subway.
- Jane (8/5): Clean, quiet, convenient and small - The address on the confirmation booking is incorrect - it is 41-14. Unfortunately, we were unable to get hold of anyone late at night and ended up staying in a hotel. The rest of the stay went fine. The apartment is clean and quiet, but it is very small. If you wish to use the kitchen there isn’t a table to eat on. We found a fabulous little café near the Skytree for breakfast (Enrich). We were three people which meant that the living room became the second bedroom with sliding doors in between. The shower is fine, the towels minute. The location is great for visiting the main sites in Tokyo.
- Natasha (10/5): Absolutely awesome place to stay! This was hands down the coolest place we stayed during our entire trip. Everything abo -
- Martin (10/5): Unique room with a walking distance to Skytree and a station. - It had a unique style. With the property being somewhat close to a historical location of Yoshiwara then you can feel the story it tries to tell! Quite interesting!
Really liked the walking distance to the train station and Skytree being close.
- M. (8/5): Nice stay close to everything - it was nice to have the last days in a room like this....for a group of 3 it was big enough and close to everything.
Hoast was very responsive and we loved the chocolates!
- Michael (8/5): A Great location with very helpful and responsive staff - The location is so convenient to both Narita and Haneda airport as well as the whole metro network. The shop as restaurants nearby were super handy to buy breakfast etc. the staff were very responsive to questions and allowed us to leave luggage earlier than check in time. Its traditional style is very cute but I did miss somewhere to sit in a proper chair to enjoy food or drink. Great for a short stay
- Ilias (8/5): Very good - The location is the best It was dusty the Bed and the pillows was not convient . My advise is to change the color and the material of the sheets
- Nate (10/5): It was an awesome stay—great location, roomy, and loved the Japanese vibe! - The location was fantastic! The room was spacious enough for a group of Americans, and most importantly, the stay was exceptional. It had plenty of amenities, helpful hospitality tips to enhance our trip, and a beautiful Japanese design, complete with kimonos and traditional decor that gave the space an authentic, artistic feel. I would definitely stay here again.
- Xavier (10/5): Amazing place to stay - The place is exactly as advertised, with a lot of charm, all the amenities for everything are provided, very close from subway and right next to skytree and the best food you can find in skytree town market. Also 2 subway station from the amazing Asakusa town.
The host is absolutely amazing, very responsive, very efficient and polite. directions to get there were very clear.
It made our stay in Tokyo very stress free.
- Sac (9/5): Super convenient location - The location is very close to metro station with direct route to the airport. There is a grocery right downstairs which is very handy, especially if coming back late at night. And last but not least, the host was fantastic, answered all my queries promptly and every kind when came around to check if I need anything and left a box of gourmet chocolate for us. Can't ask for more.
- Christos (6/5): Good value but a bit cramped for 5 people and needs to be cleaner. - Great location. Price was good. You can travel quite easily around tokyo and very easy access to skytree and restaurants. Neighbourhood was not loud and felt very safe, with easy access to convenience stores. Cleanliness was so and so. The toilet was a bit disgusting with the japanese bidet being dirty...The bedsheets were satin, which may look nice, but can be inconvenient depending on preferences and with humidity. The room is good for 2 people, but the tatami area and the overall size is not sufficient for 5 people. We managed to fit, but it did not make for a very convenient stay. I think it should be marketed for up to 3 people.
- Phillina (10/5): We had a wonderful time in a great space and fantastic location - Loved the decor and location.
- Solis (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice host! Comfortable space. One of the bedrooms didn't have a door.
- Ong (10/5): The vibe was awesome. The place was beautifully decorated and had a large space. It’s in a great loc - The vibe was awesome. The place was beautifully decorated and had a large space. It’s in a great location near Tokyo Skytree. The bed was comfy with good linen, and the air conditioning worked well. They had separate shower and bathroom facilities, along with a kitchen and fridge, which was nice. The host was very welcoming and recommended coffee shops nearby. I had an incredibly fun stay!
- Faisal (10/5): Exceptional - This is an exceptional property and an experience. The place is clean, comfortable and has a great location with close access to metro and nearby attractions. The host is friendly and accessible for any and all needs. 100% recommend it to anybody travelling to Tokyo and wanting a more authentic Japanese experience. Will definitely visit again :) Nothing

The rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. The location is convenient, making it easy to explore the area. I highly recommend this hotel to any of my friends or anyone looking for a great place to stay. It’s the perfect combination of comfort and convenience, and I’ll definitely be back again!
- 齊藤 (10/5): Menginap tradisional Jepang yang sempurna - All the design and unique concept and access to main tourist spot so amazing.
Their preparing stuff is so comfortable like a Japanese take care.
- Nitchakan (10/5): Super cool! This place is totally pure Japanese vibes with the best location ever! - I'm absolutely thrilled to be staying in this unique spot! The traditional Japanese design and artistic vibe here are incredible.
This place is also used for shoots, so the design is creative and filled with equipment. Plus, Skytree and Asakusa are super close. I’m loving it!
- Sunitra (10/5): Amazing, really great place to stay! - The facilities, location, and comfort level was amazing. The property was very clean. There were lots of cool cultural/traditional spots around. I will definitely be staying here the next time I come to Japan!
- Komugi (10/5): Best Unique experience for Designing Hotel! - All Designs and concept of the room is amazing.compare to all designing hotel around that detail things here is insane. They show us real Tokyo life as time back to few hundred years ago geisha real too.
- Sarah (10/5): The location was amazing with the Skytree! We really enjoyed our stay! - The rooms were perfect, very clean, unique design, mattresses quality amazing! Convenience access for each tourist spots.
- Krzysztof (9/5): love it - I haven't had the opportunity to visit many Japanese homes. I was in one villa in Osaka - it was a really big house there. This one here "Geisha Expelience Stay" seems to be a typical Tokyo apartment. Our family consists of 4 people and we managed. There is everything you need, but if you are looking for a luxurious apartment, you will certainly find it, but at a much higher price. Overall a good experience. Close to: metro, skytree, shops, restaurants etc. Overall, I love this city and its people, so I can't say anything bad about it. I can't wait to come to Japan again. Only our stay could be longer, but this is not the responsibility of the owner ;)
- Elise (8/5): Very good - It was well situated with stations close by. It was comfortable and clean, fit for use. One piece of advice would be to get a flight in that was earlier than our 10pm arrival. Customs are long and many train lines finish around 12am. Even with getting trains halfway there, the cab fare was about $70 Nothing
- Khanh (8/5): Very good -
- Stacey (9/5): Superb - The location is great, right next to the Tokyo Skytree and easy walking distance to Sensoji Temple. Considering this is an apartment unit in the middle of Tokyo you are getting great value for the space. Includes a small kitchenette and a grocery store located right next door. The mattress is very comfortable and the AC works great.
- Karly (5/5): It was ok, not the cleanest but in a very convenient location - Good location close to station and Skytree Bathroom smelled bad, heavy scent sprayed around room, floors needed to be vacuumed, tiny bath towels
The conditioner must have been something else, my hair needed another wash after using it
- Giorgi (8/5): Very good -
- Anjali (10/5): It was a wonderful place and the host was very friendly and accommodative - It was well maintained and clean, had everything necessary and was located quite close to the station.
- Masahiro (10/5): Very comfortable - Location . Concept
- Sergiccdj (10/5): Exceptional - The decoration, the classic feeling and also the help and details! Nothing
- Talal (8/5): Good experience - It's a very amazing experience to live the Japanese style.
Good AC to warm the place
The price was unbeatable
The host was very contactable and attentive and helpful. The area could be noisy at night , due to cars
- Sebastijan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hiroaki (5/5): Passable - It’s near to the Skytree tower 😊 The light is the bath tub 🙁
- Amanda (10/5): Grocery downstairs, close to subway. - It was nice to have our own little apartment, especially with a little grocery right downstairs! Close to the skytree- access to the subway was super easy. There's also a washing machine on the balcony. Having a TV might have been nice- but it wasn't a big deal. Also, the balcony wasn't big enough to sit on. It is mostly just for hanging clothes.
- Nubia (10/5): It’s short walk distance to sky tree which was hard to believe it’s too good to be true with so great value of price and - Location, cleaned, facility, decorations, hospitality and trust in us. Easy check in/out. Very special and authentic Japanese living style to experience! None.
- Catia (9/5): Perfect stay in Tokyo! - The location is wonderful! This was, but far, the best thing about the place.
It was clean and tidy. The instructions for the place were very detailed, which made it easier for us foreigners to know how to make everything work.
Communication was great.
There is a direct train from the metro station (oshiage) to Narita and Haneda, which makes this location even more ideal. It is also within walking distance to Asakusa and the views of the Sky Tree were so nice from the balcony. Futons could be a little thicker.
Maybe have the option to have brighter lighting when needed. The dark vibe is part of the place and experience and we loved it. However, for certain tasks such as cleaning or applying make up, it does present a challenge.
