• Stefan (1/5): Nicht bewohnbar – massive Mängel, schlechte Lage und extreme Hygienemängel - Nichts Unsere Erfahrungen mit der Villa Hortalia waren mit Abstand die schlechtesten, die wir je gemacht haben. Die Villa liegt weit oben in den Bergen, mit häufig schlechtem Wetter, niedrigen Temperaturen und sehr ungünstiger Lage. Rund um das Haus wird ständig gebaut – sowohl unter der Woche als auch am Wochenende. Hämmern, Bohren und Baustellenlärm waren an der Tagesordnung, Erholung war unmöglich. Zusätzlich begannen ab Samstag bzw. Sonntag um Mitternacht die Nachbarn mit Laubbläsern, um ihre Gärten offenbar für neue Gäste vorzubereiten. Auch nachts war dadurch an Ruhe nicht zu denken. Der Zustand der Villa war innen wie außen völlig inakzeptabel. Außen lag Müll rund um das Grundstück. Innen war die Sauberkeit katastrophal: Unter dem Sofa fanden wir alte Essensreste (u. a. Popcorn) und massive Verschmutzungen. In Schubladen und Möbeln lagen schwarze Haare der Vormieter. Die Möbel insgesamt waren stark verschmutzt, abgewohnt und beschädigt. Das Sofa war durchgelegen. Besonders schockierend: In den Toiletten befanden sich lebende Kanalwürmer, sehr groß und deutlich sichtbar – ein extremes hygienisches Problem. Weitere gravierende Mängel: • Pool unbeheizt, Wassertemperatur ca. 16 °C • Dusche mit kaum Wasserdruck • Badewanne beschädigt (Loch), faktisch nicht nutzbar • Keine Heizung im gesamten Haus, trotz Temperaturen unter 20 °C • Sehr kalte Böden und insgesamt unangenehmes Raumklima • Kein deutsches Fernsehprogramm Zusätzlich war die Garage nicht nutzbar, da der Eigentümer dort offensichtlich sein privates Inventar gelagert hatte. Erst während des Aufenthalts stellte sich außerdem heraus, dass unterhalb der Villa eine weitere Person wohnte. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, es handele sich um einen Bekannten des Eigentümers. Damit mietet man faktisch keine alleinstehende Villa, sondern teilt das Gebäude mit einem fremden Bewohner – ohne vorherige transparente Information. Hinzu kam, dass es bei starkem Regen zu erheblichen Schäden an der rückseitigen Mauer kam.
• Taufek (8/5): La estancia perfecta , la gestión de la fianza nefasta - El alojamiento está bien, las instalaciones no son nuevas pero está bien, no tiene aire acondicionado y la piscina estaba sucia con globos de una fiesta anterior y suciedad Pues hemos dejado la villa en perfectas condiciones apenas hemos hecho uso de ella, y me han retenido 500€ de fianza excusándose en que se ha roto una persiana que lo que ha pasado es que no baja, obviamente ni la hemos tocado, y acto seguido me dicen que he tirado basura por el fregadero y se atascado cuando no hemos hecho uso ni de la cocina, hemos comido fuera toda la estancia, obviamente estoy entendiendo que se quieren quedar con la fianza de forma injustificada y achacando unos desperfectos inexistentes y que en tal caso no se corresponden con el importe retenido. El chico que nos atendió en el chek in fue muy agradable pero la empresa gestora de este alojamiento aplica términos abusivos. Después de haber hablado con la propiedad y de reconocer que se han equivocado, me piden que borre el comentario para devolverme la fianza , lo que viene siendo una extorsión básicamente. Me han 160€ por desatascar un fregadero que no atasqué, y por colocar la persiana que supuestamente se había quedado pillada en la parte superior del cajetín. En definitiva revisar muy bien al entrar no vaya a ser que os roben la fianza.

• Amanda (10/5): Wonderful stay in a beautiful villa - This villa is absolutely huge. Everything feels brand new. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. You feel like you're miles away up in a mountain however it only takes 10 mins to get to the main strip on a taxi. Ubers can be expensive so get yourself a taxi drivers number. They're far cheaper.

• Katherine (10/5): Joe, the host, was brilliant, we were slightly delayed arriving at the villa but Joe met us and made it easier and more - The villa was everything we hoped it would be, the bedrooms were stunning, especially the main bedroom, lots of space, clean and the view was lovely. The kitchen facilities were great for cooking for a family, lots of seating areas. The pool was a brilliant size for the children to have fun.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful setting, peaceful surroundings, and thoughtful details throughout the property. The villa was spotless, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing vacation. The outdoor area was a highlight — the pool was clean and well-maintained, the garden was lush and private, and we enjoyed every sunset from the terrace. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to cook meals, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The host was also fantastic — responsive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. We truly felt at home and didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a quiet, luxurious escape. We’ll definitely be coming back! Perfect nothing wrong with it!
• Konstantin (1/5): Leider eine katastrophale Erfahrung: Türen klemmten so sehr, dass wir über den Balkon in andere Zimmer mussten. Duschen - Warnung vor dieser Unterkunft – absolut nicht empfehlenswert! Unsere Erfahrung mit dieser Villa war leider durchweg negativ und lässt den Verdacht auf gewerbsmäßigen Betrug nicht ausschließen. Schon kurz nach dem Check-in zeigten sich gravierende Mängel. Innen erwartete uns eine in vielerlei Hinsicht mangelhafte Ausstattung: kaputte Schubladen, Türen, die so stark klemmten, dass man teils nur über den Balkon in andere Räume kam, und Duschen mit eiskaltem Wasser und minimalem Wasserdruck. Besonders störend war der durchgehende Baulärm von mehreren Baustellen rund ums Haus – darüber wurde im Vorfeld mit keinem Wort informiert. Entspannung war unmöglich. Hinzu kam ein ständiger, beißender Geruch nach Müll und Abwasser, der sowohl im Haus als auch im Außenbereich lag. Versprochene Ausstattungen, wie z. B. ein Bügeleisen, waren schlicht nicht vorhanden. Insgesamt wirkte das gesamte Inventar billig und stark abgenutzt. Am schlimmsten jedoch: Nach der Abreise wurde die Kaution mit der Begründung “Ruhestörung” einbehalten – obwohl es weder Beschwerden noch eine einzige Ermahnung gegeben hatte. Wir haben uns während des gesamten Aufenthalts ruhig und rücksichtsvoll verhalten. Diese nachträgliche “Strafe” wirkt konstruiert und ist für uns ein klares Warnsignal – insbesondere da wir inzwischen von ähnlichen Fällen in anderen Bewertungen gelesen haben. Fazit: Diese Unterkunft war eine einzige Enttäuschung und für uns eine regelrechte Horror-Reise. Ich kann nur dringend davon abraten – und hoffe, dass Plattformen wie Booking.com solche Anbieter künftig strenger prüfen.

• Jonas (7/5): Relatively high placed villa with view in the valey - The seperate room outside for 2 people was not really ok. Bathroomlight didn’t work well. Douche had no pressure so we had to take shower in other bathroom.
• Slrcare (6/5): All in all, we would not recommend this property. - The location is ok, nice view . Very noisy and a constant noise from construction work around the house, making it impossible to relax outside at the pool. We had to leave the house due to the disturbance caused by the building works around the villa. The interiors (sofa and beds) is quite dated and in need of a refresh - it looks much better on photos than in reality. Finally the showers were very poor, with low water pressure and insufficient hot water

• Chrstopher (10/5): Exceptional - Wow. What a great villa. Stayed with 4 adults and 2 kids. Very spacious and top-quality villa. Host was very helpful and we will definitely be returning. 13 euro taxi takes you to the centre on Las Americas and there is a supermarket a kilometres away. The views from the villa are stunning, we loved every minute of it.
