Guest Reviews
- Rodrigo (8/5): - The location and the information given by the owner about the Mount Huasan hiking is excelent! The mattres is too slim.
- Andrei (10/5): Good value and great location - Location is great. If you plan to hike the mountain - just a few minutes away by walk from entrance. Also a few minutes driving to the visitor center, if you want to take the bus and cable car.
The host - Nini was very helpful and kind.
- Yifeng (9/5): Great value for money would stay again - Heated blankets/bed and it is a stones throw(less than 5 mins walk)from the start of the trail up Huashan which is awesome when you are starting your hike at 6am Toilet abit cold during shoulder season (winter to spring )but it is not their fault
- Shi Xun (9/5): -
- Guest (10/5): Excellent location. Good price/value ratio. - Host meet us at the train station and drop us off on the departure day free of charge, which was very helpful.
Highly recommend if you’re coming to visit Huashan mountain, excellent location.

- Petr (10/5): -
- Johny (10/5): This was one of the best accommodations I’ve ever had. - Perfect location — the trekking route from Huashan ended right next to this place.
Beautiful, new, spacious, and clean rooms.
An incredibly kind and helpful host — he spoke fluent English, drove us to the ticket office free of charge, and allowed us to store our luggage at the hotel while we were hiking on Huashan.
As a bonus, he even let us use the showers after we returned from the hike.
I absolutely recommend this place to everyone! Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Jana (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and helpful host. And also great food. Thank you very much 😃
- Domingo (10/5): Exceptional - The bed sheets and room are clean.
Bathroom inside the room.
The owner even accompanied me to the bus station at 0530 hrs in the morning.
Also very good to stay before and after climbing the mountain.Just Infront of the main entrance.
A lot of restaurants nearby.
- Julian (8/5): Good place to overnight when visiting Mount Hua - The family running the place is friendly and supportive. Certainly, if you are able to communicate in chinese, that improves and eases your experience, but they know that foreigners may show up and make their best to provide the accomodation you are looking for. There is specially one kind girl with English skills, which is very helpful for the essentials. If you plan to hike the path from the foot of the mountain, just need to cross a street to reach the entrance. Moreover, the visitor center is within a 20-30 minute walk, going directly through an avenue, and a taxi ride costs around 10 RMB. Bear in mind that this is strictly a place to overnight, leave your stuff while visiting the mountain, stay the time you need to rest, and use wifi for internet. Don't expect anything else than basic standards. And yes, you have to look for a shop amidst many others in a street.
- Katarzyna (8/5): Very good - Very nice place run by a family close to the Huashan mountain. Please be aware this hostel is behind a shop - and by behind I mean you need to go into the shop and walk out on the other side to get to the hostel part so when you are trying to find it, find a shop, don't look for the hostel:) Room was nice and clean and located on the main street with many restaurants, shop with nice assortment is actually downstairs from the hostel but there are also other on the same street. Very close to the free bus to the national park, the staff showed us the way as again the bus stop is accessible via a (different) shop :D The lady owner is great (and her small daughters are super cute - teach them English if you stay there!:) and she was so kind to drive us to train station for free after we checked out, very helpful. it's super difficult to find if you don't have the name of the shop behind which the hostel is located - ask the owners for the shop name and tell the taxi or didi driver that they have to go to this shop.
- Alexander (10/5): Highly recommended for you stay - First of all: this is a hostel, so know what to expect.
We were very happy with our stay there. We got exactly what we booked:a room with a bed with a private bathroom. The room was clean, had an ac and a western style toilet. It was in great condition, if you don't forget that this is a hostel and not the Hilton.
The staff was very friendly, helped us with our trip the next day and even picked us up from the train station for free, as we were getting in late. Kommunikation, especially over booking.com would be better in English. We had a hard time translating Chinese to English in a country that blocks Google translate.
- Stefano (7/5): Good - The position which is near the park entrance
- Sunnyfelix (8/5): Good location to hike - Location is superb, very near to the entrance of Huashan trail (especially if you can buy ticket online). Lots of eateries nearby. The hostel itself has a big store. One of the staff speaks English and was very helpful for our hike. I found a cigarette bud and hair from previous guest on the bathroom floor.
- Alberto (10/5): Exceptional - The location and the staff. I have been beaten by a wasp during the huashan hiking and the daughter of the owner helped me to get cured. She brought me to the closest hospital and she stayed with me during my recovery, taking care of relationship with doctor and nurses. I really thank her. Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was very kind and helpful
- Janina (9/5): Superb -
- Hugo (6/5): Well-placed for climbing Mount Huashan and otherwise functional; very hard to find! - Very well-located near to Mount Huashan entrance. Functional room with bathroom. Very hard to find hostel in the first place! (no signage and it is in the back of a grocery store) No kitchen facilities.
- Selvaganapathy (7/5): Good - Location of the hostel, close to sightseeing place Nil
- Shannon (10/5): We were so happy to have stayed here - Nini who ran the hostel was quick, efficient and kind - she looked after us so well!! We had a great time at the hostel.
- Bjorn (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (9/5): Great location great staff - booking dot com could fix up the location so that it is easier to find for a foreigner -
- Leng (7/5): very helpful owners is the highlight! - The hotel owners were very helpful. I had phone network issue and the owner willingly lent me his local phone to call my telco customer service line. The elderly grandma also helped us hail a taxi after check out so that the taxi driver would not overcharge us. I bought some items from the grandma's stall and she gave me 2 goodluck red string to tie up in Mt Hua. I brought the strings back and turned them into lucky stars instead. toilet flush didnt seem to work well.
- Lucas (8/5): 100% would recommend for budget travelers - The staff is great. Nini drove me around, picked me up from the train station and took me there again when I left. All for the sake of providing a good service, she didn't charge me for that. Location is good - a 2 minute walk to where you get the free shuttle to Huashan Tourism Center, and it's on a street with dozens of local restaurants. There is also a convenience store on the ground floor Cleanliness could be a little better, especially in the bathroom. There was a wet cigarette butt in the shower when I came in, the whole bathroom smelled bad.
This is not actually a 'Youth Hostel', just a budget hotel. If you're expecting a hostel vibe, you'll be disappointed. These misnamings are quite common in China.
- Jinny (10/5): Uncle and untie is super kind. - The owner Nothing
- Isaac (8/5): Very good -
- Marie (8/5): Very good - Good location to start the hike to mount Hua.
Comfy bed and clean room Smell a bit the smoke of cigarette
- Nestor (6/5): Great for the price - Excellent price for value
The staff were always ready to help. Address and nap in booking.com is not correct.
The staff tries to help in English but it is still very difficult to understand.
The staff does not answer the messages to arrange details before arriving.
- Anton (8/5): Very good -
