Guadalupe our host was great at answering questions, giving as recommendations for restaurants, groceries stores and sites to visit. She was great at checking with us for any needs. She is definitely a super host! Hoping to comeback to this place. A bit noisy at night outside the apartment but not a detriment to have a good experience.

The beds are small and bedrooms are tiny. There was no window for the bathroom so it steamed up every time someone showered. The heating system was a little noisy at night. The 'couch' in the lounge area was not very comfortable. We were out exploring the area all day so the apartment met our needs but for a longer stay it would have been a little uncomfortable.

Zij bleef informeren of alles naar wens was. Goede bedden, ruime slaapkamer, dito badkamer. In de nachtelijke uren wat herrie van voorbijrazende auto's en motoren op de doorgaande weg.

Reservé confiando en las buenas reseñas, pero la realidad fue totalmente distinta. Las instalaciones están descuidadas y el servicio deja mucho que desear. Tras mi estancia, tengo serias dudas sobre la veracidad de muchas de las reseñas positivas, ya que no se corresponden con lo que viví. Recomiendo leer las opiniones con cautela y no confiar únicamente en la puntuación general.

Ravikanth (10/5): Awesome. - Problem solving skills of the owner and property manager. I locked myself out, solution is provided within minutes. Water heater failed and a solution offered with in minutes. Climbing up the stairs. It’s only 12 but with luggage.

Sofie (8/5): Excellent stay in the center of El Calafate! - Guadelupe was an excellent host. She gave us very clear instructions on how to check in and she came to meet us personally to arrange the payment. Guadelupe was super responsive and gave us recommendations on places to eat and travel agencies to use. I would recommend staying here if you go to El Calafate, the property is very close walking distance to the centre of town. Unfortunately we had noisy neighbours for two out of the four nights. Obviously that has nothing to do with the host or the property.

Laurel (7/5): Good but do your homework - Great location just off the main street, easy walk to the grocery store, ice cream (and locally made, artisanal woolens) right on the corner. Very clean. Be sure to click through and look at the pictures of your exact reservation. They have several apartments that they rent, and ours had windows that only looked into air shafts and hallways (zero direct sunlight). Our kitchen was pretty spare.

Tienes todo lo indispensable para tu estancia tanto en las habitaciones como en el baño y cocina. Tienes hasta un asador. Muy bien ubicado.

Farley (5/5): Good location and quick walk to town. - Location was good, room was large. Nice large kitchen area to eat and work Credit card issue to pay for my stay. Apparently, booking doesn't allow the Argentinean lodging operators to make the credit card payment online. The lodging operator sends a link to pay which did not work at all. After 3-4 hours of making it work, the owner had to process the payment over the phone. Really weird system and I've never encountered this situation, even with other places in Argentina. No cable - they said they were switching operators, living room sofa is a trundle bed and it is super uncomfortable. The rooms were cool and they were able to increase the heat. Apparently, there is a thermostat outside the unit in the hallway that is shared with another unit but they never told us about that. I stayed at 8 hotels during my jaunt throughout Argentina, Chile and Patagonia, this was my least favorite. The operators in El Calafate just want to get the tourist dollars and don't really want to give you more than they have to. No breakfast was provided. Although they did get us a taxi to go to another lodging in El Calafate due to our delayed trip to Puerto Natales.
