No where to put clothes and bathroom is not the safest. (Unsafe plugs by shower and water) The staff is completely amateur and unprofessional.
• Matthias (3/5): Cadre paradisiaque mais personnel pas à la hauteur - Le confort, le mobilier, la vue Le 2 eme jour, alors que nous nous dirigions simplement à la salle de sport avec ma copine, un membre du personnel nous parle de manière agressive en demandant où est ce que nous allons, comme si nous avions des mauvaises intentions. Le lendemain matin, alors que nous avions passé tout les repas à Papiro, nous sommes tombés gravement malade, et après avoir juste prévenu l’hôtel au cas où cela pourrait contaminer d’autre personnes, la dame de la réception m’a affirmé que ce n’était pas de leurs fautes et que ils ne peuvent rien faire. Pas un geste. Rien. Cerise sur le gâteau quand après avoir demandé un verre d’eau afin de prendre mon médicament, la dame de la réception revient me chercher alors que nous étions sur le bateau pour partir, afin de me faire redescendre pour payez ma bouteille d’eau.

Especially manager Eric who went out of his way to help us with every little thing we asked for. The hotel itself feels like a private little island getaway and an experience I’d recommend to everyone. The restaurant had an amazing food choice and the chef does a wonderful job. Our room was nice and clean. The beach club is great, nice little corner to enjoy sun and water followed with a cold drink. Overall a place I will gladly come back to.

No parecía un hotel 4*. Además no paraban de equivocarse con los precios y tuvimos varias disgustos con varias cuentas….
• Lautaro (9/5): Muy bueno - Nos encantó el lugar, su tranquilidad y buenas instalaciones. Es excelente para ir y quedarte a disfrutar todo el día del hotel y lo que ofrece. No conviene ir a Papiro y estar haciendo excursiones externas. Trato amable de todo el personal. La comida es buena pero no destaca. Recomiendo llevar repelente ya que hay muchos mosquitos. Incluye el uso de kayak y tabla. Sabanas y toallas con manchas. No estaban sucias pero si manchadas, lo que no es aceptable para un hotel de esa categoría.

• Vanessa (5/5): Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön, das Hotelrestaurant konnte jedoch leider nicht überzeugen. - Die Pousada Papiro Boutique überzeugt vor allem durch ihre außergewöhnliche Lage – so etwas haben wir in dieser Form noch nicht erlebt. Die Abholung vom Hafen zum Hotel verlief reibungslos und war gut organisiert ca. 17 € pro Person. Die Unterkunft ist eher klein und familiär gehalten, mit schätzungsweise maximal 30 Gästen, was für eine ruhige und entspannte Atmosphäre sorgt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der private Strand, der es ermöglicht, die Umgebung ungestört zu genießen. Da die Unterkunft etwas abgelegen ist, haben wir uns entschieden, vor Ort im Hotel zu essen. Leider haben wir das Essen nicht gut vertragen und mussten den nächsten Tag größtenteils im Bett verbringen. Am darauffolgenden Tag wollten wir dem Ganzen noch eine zweite Chance geben und bestellten einen Burger. Dieser konnte uns jedoch ebenfalls nicht überzeugen: Die Pommes waren sehr fettig, und das Burger-Patty war innen noch roh. Gerade angesichts des insgesamt höheren Preises der Unterkunft war das kulinarische Angebot für uns daher enttäuschend.

• Chloé (8/5): - L’emplacement est incroyable. La vue, l’impression d’être seuls au monde. Restaurant très bon. Quelques petits rafraîchissement à faire, mais le lieu est magnifique. Nous avons également eu un problème de communication ou d’organisation avec le manager à l’heure du départ: la navette demandée n’était pas à l’heure ce qui a créé beaucoup de stress car nous avions un bateau à prendre à Abraao… pour une prochaine fois, les clients doivent être informés clairement de l’heure du rdv pour faire le check out car cela a terni la fin d’un séjour magnifique
• Patricia (5/5): - El hotel tiene bonitas vistas El personal administrativo es descortés y negligente.Primero habíamos quedado que contrataría el servicio de translado desde el muelle de abraao hasta el hotel luego a la hora que estaba en el muelle esperando a que nos recojan me dicen que estaban transfiriendo las cajas registradoras y por llamada dijeron que estaban dando prioridad a otros huéspedes.Todo eso paso en más de una hora y como vimos que nos decían diversas respuestas nos dimos cuenta que no nos recogerían entonces contratamos un servicio de un tercero tanto esperar para que nos cancelen a última hora . Segundo cuando nos fuimos contratamos el servicio de barco para que nos lleven de regreso al muelle ya que el servicio del tercero no podía .Habíamos quedado con el servicio del barco a las 15:00 pm pero antes almorzamos en el hotel pero el restaurante se demoró en servirnos por eso terminamos a las 15:15 pm cuando el administrador se me acerca y me corre del hotel de una manera sarcástica solo por demorarme 15 min cosa que fue culpa del restaurante del mismo hotel . Luego cuando subimos al barco ví a un señor esperando y supuse que era un familiar del administrador y dije por eso se molestó.Sin duda no regresaría

Nice view from the room Nice trek to the nearby waterfall and to the city of Abraao The room is pretty small compared to the description, and the bathroom quality is poorest than expected.. The music at the beach all day long is a bit disappointing: In such remote and natural place, we would expect a more peaceful and silent stay to rest and disconnect from our urban life; otherwise we would have chosen an hotel in Abraao ;) Overall the quality for the price is not very good, even compared to other places in Europe Med sea area with great natural landscapes.

• Adele (8/5): Stunning with room for perfection - Wowee, the island is stunning. We wanted a stripped back relaxing place for the end of our stay in Brazil and this is exactly what we got. The location was beautiful, watching the wildlife and turtles from our balcony I could do for hours. The beach club was a nice addition and the food was all lovely with a broad range at good prices. The staff were all WONDERFUL so friendly and kind! The beach was stunning and the water very clean. We also did some of the hiking trails which the hotel has the maps for and they were wonderful! 🌴 The only negative was that some of the bedlinen hadn’t been replaced from a previous guest, which was covered in makeup - mascara and foundation. Luckily there was a spare pillow so we swapped this but would expect better. The other feedback isn’t negative but more food for thought. If you are expecting 4* Hilton style, I wouldn’t come - the bathrooms are rustic, no amenities (tiny tiny samples of shampoo available but not enough for one let alone a couple), room has no storage, very basic but this is what makes it wonderful. > The additional charges for everything are frustrating, it would make sense that they charge slightly more for the room and absorb the incremental costs. - beach / pool towels for the beach club owned by the hotel are incremental cost, water is incremental cost, coffee in rooms is on top. The mini bar is relatively good value vs other hotels but water and coffee could be included as standard. > they offer a direct transfer from the mainland, definitely worth the money as going to the nearby town is much harder and still needs a transfer from there to the hotel - which is additional cost if you get dropped off by another taxi! > Due to the beauty of the island toilet paper can not be flushed so this was a change for a European and something to come to terms with with the mini shower! > The room is very compact so do bring a small case if you can as literally not enough space to open a big case, they have prioritised facing the bed towards the view which I appreciated but means less space in the room. > The beach club could have the option of more reclining sun loungers as opposed to just deck chairs - this would be nice. > Options for day trips other than large boat rentals would be a nice addition. > They have 2 kayaks to use which was lovely but no regulation as to when and how long to use them for so it can be a case of waiting for a while, while others use them.

• Van Doorslaer (3/5): Please read it before booking. - We stayed at this hotel in Ilha Grande for two nights to celebrate our birthday. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing, especially considering the price of around €150 per night. First, when we arrived on the island, we discovered that we needed to take a boat to reach the hotel. At no point before our arrival were we informed that this boat transfer would cost **100 reais per person each way** (200 reais per person for the round trip). This is an important piece of information that should be clearly communicated before booking. Another issue was the **room configuration**. In the photos on Booking, the room clearly showed **two separate beds**. However, when we arrived, there was only **one large double bed**, and a small extra mattress pulled from under the bed where I had to sleep. This was very disappointing for a room at this price level. There were also **technical problems in the room**: most of the electrical outlets were not working. Only one outlet was usable, which made it difficult to charge our devices. We also had a strange experience at the **hotel restaurant**. Since it was the low season, we were the only two guests dining there. Despite that, two waiters stood extremely close to our table (about 50 cm away) during the entire meal, which felt quite uncomfortable and left us with no privacy. Very unprofessional. Additionally, several dishes were brought to our table **that we had never ordered**. After we had already started eating them, the staff told us it had been a mistake and that the dishes were meant for another table — even though we were the only guests in the restaurant. In the end, these dishes were still **charged to us**, which we found very unfair. Another inconvenience was the **limited boat schedule** to leave or return to the hotel.
• Bianca (7/5): - Beautiful location and stunning room. Service at the restaurant could definitely be improved. Staff is nice, but they should be more aware of things, e.g. pouring wine at dinner when the glasses are empty or cleaning breakfast tables so that arriving guests don’t have to eat at dirty tables or fill up serviettes when they are empty or putting cutlery on the table so that guests don’t have to go get them themselves out of a drawer. Some staff should be encouraged to shower before meal service. Another thing that’s not acceptable: As the tap water is not drinkable it’s not ok to just give out one litre of free drinking water per room and charge 9,50 reais per 330 ml of bottled water! Guests don’t have a shop there, the location is remote, so they have to buy these expensive little bottles the whole time. I recommend the management puts up water dispensers that guests can use for free.

Muy variado y todos los días con especialidades distintas del chef. Muy bueno! La gente del hotel es muy amable y buena onda. Siempre disponible para todas nuestras dudas. Lo que sí debieran mejorar es las habitaciones ya que son pequeñas y no tienen sufiiente espacio para guardar las cosas y las camas no eran cómodas. Los tours y traslados que ofrece el hotel son más caros que si uno cotiza online a otros operadores en la isla. Sale caro trasladarse a Abraao ida y vuelta del hotel, por lo que te obliga a comer en el hotel todas las noches.

• Priscilla (6/5): Expectativa bem abaixo da realidade para um Hotel Boutique mas equipe sensacional - Eu gostei da localização, tem um praia "privada" e um ambiente muito gostoso a noite. Sem barulho, só o som do mar!! Sem agitação que é o perfil da nossa família. A equipe um pouco confusa com os pedido do Jantar, mas sempre muito solícita. Por ser um hotel boutique eu esperava mais do quarto (apesar de espacoso), tivemos problema com o ar condicionado, o banheiro mofado, a cama auxiliar quebrada (tivemos que retirar o tapete pra acomodar uma das crianças e estava com bastante pó abaixo do tapete). Combinei com o hotel o transfer no dia de chegada mas ninguém me respondia pelo wpp e tivemos que pegar um taxi bote e foi uma péssima experiencia, quando chegamos ao hotel (após o horário do check in) ainda esperamos uns 40 min ate nosso quarto ficar pronto.

Localização excelente Local do restaurante bonito, muitas opções de bebidas, bom sorvete Quarto muito pequeno e mal mobiliado Sem privacidade, as varandas deveriam ter paredes separando, ouvia se e via se tudo dos quartos ao lado. Banheiro mal projetado, lavatório pequeno em comparação com o Box. • Vieira (10/5): Uma experiência completa: vista incrível, silêncio absoluto, conforto, beach club e gastronomia impecável - Gostei muito da educação e atenção da equipe, além do ambiente extremamente agradável. A pousada tem um diferencial incrível com a praia particular e o beach club, que deixam a experiência ainda mais especial. A vista do lugar é simplesmente maravilhosa e o silêncio é algo que eu nunca tinha vivido antes, trazendo uma sensação de paz e descanso de verdade. O quarto é muito confortável e o purificador de ar fez toda a diferença, deixando o ambiente sempre cheiroso e sem aquele aspecto de lugar fechado. Também gostei muito do restaurante: cardápio maravilhoso e uma experiência excelente com o vinho Cartucha branco, que me acompanhou muito bem durante a estadia. Outro ponto que marcou foi a estrutura para famílias, com um espaço excelente para minha filha, incluindo piscina de água natural, caiaque e opções de lazer. Não tenho pontos negativos relevantes. A experiência foi muito positiva e atendeu muito bem às expectativas. Apenas detalhes pequenos que podem ser ajustados, mas nada que tenha atrapalhado a estadia.

El desayuno una genialidad. Lo que no nos gustó es que te cobran absolutamente todo. El traslado hasta el hotel, 150 reales por persona, el traslado a Abrao 100. Nos pareció bastante excesivo ese servicio teniendo en cuenta que es una estadía cara ya de por sí, y que encima no te deja otra alternativa que moverte en lancha. Creo que, habiendo hoteles de menor calidad que prestan servicio de traslado al aeropuerto incluido en el precio, tranquilamente podrían hacer lo mismo en este caso.

• Margot (7/5): Agréable mais pas pratique - L’hôtel est très joli. Le personnel est très bien, service irréprochable, rien à dire. Il y a une plage privée magnifique où il n’y a personne. L’hôtel n’est pas du tout au port. Il faut prendre un bateau qui va vous couter 100 reais par personne pour y aller et revenir ce qui n’est pas du tout pratique et très coûteux.

La habitación muy limpia y cómoda. La cama súper cómoda y las vistas desde la habitación son preciosas! El desayuno súper bueno! El personal muy amable Como el alojamiento no está en el pueblo central de la isla dependes de barco para poder ir. A veces es complicado cuadrar horario con el hotel para poder ir tanto al pueblo como al puerto. Además los precios de estos traslados son caros (150 BRL por persona (Unos 23€) para los horarios establecidos, suelen ser solo 2 momentos al día y 300 BRL por persona (Unos 46€) para que se ajusten al momento que tú necesites). Si solo te quieres quedar en el hotel genial!! Pero si quieres ir a otras partes de la isla te dejas una pasta! (Nuestra idea era quedarnos en el hotel pero los días que estuvimos llovía y casi no pudimos estar en la playa, así que para poder ir de compras tuvimos que ir al centro de la isla)

Personnel souriant et disponible. Le petit déjeuner est frais, copieux et surtout très bon. Si nous sommes de passage vers Rio a nouveau, nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

• Nayara (8/5): Custo benefício ok - Cama, chuveiro, estrutura física no geral é boa. É um bom hotel para quem se propoe a ficar alguns dias em descanso, isolado. Serviço razoável - dificuldade de comunicação via WhatsApp, funcionários pouco treinados ou sem informação (faltava colheres pra servir no cafe da manhã, demorava ou confundiam os pedidos, etc). Alem disso, o hospede fica mt dependente de traslado e o valor cobrado é salgado; e so vendem agua 300ml pelo custo de 9,50 cada garrafinha (ficamos com a impressão de que o hotel tenta lucrar exageradamente em cima de itens que sao essenciais ja que o hospede nao tem outra alternativa). No cafe da manha, nao disponibilizam agua (eu tinha que pedir). No geral, embora a estrutura seja de hotel boutique, o serviço nao acompanha e acaba deixando a desejar.

Comidas mal feitas com carnes e peixes fora do ponto. Além disso, tem horários restritos pra tomar café (até as 10h somente) e o jantar (é até 21h).

However, our bathroom was unsanitary with black mold present. Although compensation was given, it wasn’t fair for the situation. Additionally, their boat service to Abraao was very irregular with only a handful of transfers a day and the last transfer back at 9pm- this is pretty early. To top this off it costs a small fortune: 100 Reals per person one way for a 10 min journey. Considering the hotel is out of the way and the only way to access it is via a transfer (or a 2 hour walk), transfers should be included in the price of your stay or at the very least, heavily subsidised. If we’d have known all this before, we’d have chosen to stay on Abraao!
• Appinq bv - BE0523907091 (7/5): Heerlijke en mooie locatie waar je werkelijk tot rust komt. - Het eten was echt heel goed, de kok heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen. Zowel het ontbijt als het avondeten waren erg verzorgd en smakelijk! Ook het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Helaas waren er slechts drie personen die goed Engels spraken en dus waren wij met name op hen aangewezen. Tijdens ontbijt en diner werd er continu dezelfde muziek afgespeeld. Zeker als je twee dagen of langer op dezelfde locatie verblijft is dit op een gegeven moment gewoon irritant. Het is duidelijk gebleken dat de eigenaar van het hotel meer aandacht steekt in de visuele details om mooie foto's voor Instagram te maken, dan naar het complete plaatje te kijken. Met zo'n goed team ter plaatse kan dit hotel nog verder verbeteren indien het personeel hier meer verantwoordelijkheid en vrijheid in zou krijgen.

• Cristian (8/5): Excelente hotel con una ubicación exclusiva - La ubicación, alejado del centro y con una playa a pocos minutos caminando casi exclusiva para los huéspedes. El restaurante tiene una buena carta de tragos, comidas y postres. Los precios no son bajos pero se corresponden con la calidad de los platos. El desayuno fue excelente, variado y con propuestas nuevas todos los días. La habitación fue super cómoda. La ducha funcionaba perfecto. La ubicación puede ser un problema si uno tiene una emergencia de salud. Luego de las 22hs no queda personal a disposición y no hay forma de llegar al centro. Aunque tiene sentido estando en una isla, debería haber alguna manera de poder asistir a los huéspedes en caso de emergencia. Siendo que es obligatorio el traslado al hotel vía taxi boat, el hotel te cobra los traslados de ida y vuelta al centro de la isla (Abraao). Considerando que en otros hospedajes el servicio es sin cargo, podría considerarse un aspecto negativo que te lo cobren encima a un precio elevado.

Caminhar pela praia deserta, assistir o pôr do sol e o excelente atendimento dos funcionários nossa estadia ser realmente muito prazerosa.

O Restaurante tem pratos ótimos (bacalhau por exemplo), mas a maioria deixaram a desejar, não sendo condizente com padrão do hotel. Exigiram que fossemos com o barco do hotel, senão teria taxa de 200 reais. e nem avisaram que para voltar para a marina de onde os barcos deles vem, não volta nos cobraria 200 reais, pois fomos para outras praias de praia grande. E na saida nao nos deram later check-out later. Ai antecipamos a saida, mas eles atrasaram porque o chefe quis fazer uma longa reuniao com todos os funcionarios e ainda tiveram a coragem de perguntar se teria problema de ir mais tarde com o outro barco, mas sentados esperando. Era só ter concedido 1 hora a mais para irmos a praia quando pedimos. Ou seja, não volto. No custo benefício, não vale.

• Christopher (6/5): Wonderful hotel, but bring gallons of water with you to drink. - The staff are amazing, the breakfast is very nice, the beaches are amazing, wonderful views and very relaxing. The only thing preventing a ten star review is the water situation. If you are staying for 2 nights you might not notice but if you are staying any longer bring water, gallons and gallons of it. You are on an island and the only water is in 330ml bottles. They give one or two of the complementary but you should be drinking a minimum of 10 of these bottles a day to stay hydrated- that is a MOUNTAIN of plastic and a lot of work. The world is transitioning to personal reusable water bottles. Isolated on an island this is sort of a BIG deal. Thinking of a lunar hotel with air sold in small bottles- doesn’t matter how nice the hotel is if it becomes a challenge to survive cleanly it is not pleasant.
