• Alice (3/5): Worst experience on Booking so far - the neighbourhood, quartiere Isola, is one of the most lively neighbourhoods in Milan. The bed was quite comfortable, too. When I arrived there was no electricity in the flat. I tried to contact the owner/manager but he/she did not answer, he/she only wanted to text on WhatsApp and his/her Italian was very poor, so I had to switch to English. It took ages to sort the matter, after a while someone came and fixed the power. It’s not written on the conditions of the flat on Booking but there is no possibility of late checkout (not even paying) and the checkout is at 10am. I specified that I was going to check out at 10am sharp, but someone entered in my apartment at 9:45 while I was naked because I was just out of the shower!!! The flat’s keys were supposed to be in the apartment but they were not at the beginning. someone brought them later. There was no indication on how to connect to the Wi-Fi network, I had to ask. The windows only have very heavy curtains. that are good to sleep but during the day they force you to either live in the dark either being seen by the whole building because you have to open the curtains to have light. An additional curtain, lighter and only not to be seen by the neighbours would be nice.
