• Paul (10/5): Great apartment in Girona. - Very spacious and well equipped apartment. Fantastic location in the old town with very good restaurants nearby. Try Fonda Cal Ros. Very comfortable bed. Stairs narrow and steep and it seems a long way to the 2nd floor with a suitcase.

• Angela (10/5): Fab place to stay - Fabulous apartment in the heart of the old part of the lovely city of Girona. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped, so highly recommended. Easy walk from the bus/train station and an easy 40 minute train trip to Barcelona. We had a problem getting in as we weren't forceful enough with the key but this was dealt with efficiently with a phone call to the owners. Great communication, for which we were extremely grateful.

• Cedonulli (7/5): Lawaaiig - Het appartement was netjes en mooi ingericht. Ontzettend gehorig, de ramen zijn enkel glas en de supermarkt is onderin de straat. Tot laat in de avond en vanaf 6 uur 's ochtends is er herrie van vuilniswagens, mensen en rolkarren. Het bed is hard en heeft een kuil, waardoor je met z'n tweeën in het midden ligt.

• james12017 (10/5): You need three days here at least - The location in the old city surrounded by restaurants and over two thousand years of history although most of the buildings and the walls are only half of that. Everything is within walking distance. For self catering there is a well stocked Spar supermarket within metres of the apartment. The apartment itself is very well equipped with all the usual amenities plus a washing machine. There are enough pots and pans etc for full self catering but I think no microwave. Although very subjective we both found the bed to be very comfortable. Self check in with electronic codes so you don't meet the owner but she responded very quickly to all messages. There is a great reasonably priced Catalan restaurant called La Miranda in the next street ( same as Spar supermarket entrance ) about 100 metres away. Definitely worth a night off self catering.. When checking in look for the street number above the door - 19 . Apparently the picture of the green door is wrong. The door is now brown. Due to my age I am not comfortable with electronic codes and smart phones etc but my partner is so not really a problem. Definitely not suitable if you are coming by car as Girona Old City is virtually car free. Steep narrow stairway could be a problem if you have very heavy and/or bulky luggage. We thought that the 3.00pm check in might be a problem but thanks to problems with the trains we arrived after 5.00 pm so again no problem.

Een advies puntje, een stootplank aan de muur achter de keukenstoelen , daar was de enige schade die gelijk opviel bij binnenkomst de eerste dag De riool lucht in de badkamer. Ik weet niet van waar , douche putje of wasmachine afvoer?? Wij hebben heel de week de afzuiger aangezet en de deur dicht gehouden dan rook je het niet in het appartement.

• Junior (10/5): Perfecto - Me alojé en este piso en el casco viejo de Girona y la experiencia fue excelente. El apartamento estaba muy limpio, cuidado y equipado con todo lo necesario. La ubicación es perfecta, a pocos pasos de los principales puntos de interés y con un encanto único típico del barrio antiguo. Además, el propietario fue muy amable y atento, siempre dispuesto a ayudar y hacer la estancia más cómoda. Sin duda, un lugar totalmente recomendable. ¡Volvería encantado!

• Haizea (1/5): Mucho ruido - Se escuchaba todo. Las ventanas no cerraban como tal y cada vez que alguien pasaba por debajo de casa era como si estuviera al lado de nosotros. Por desgracia coincidió que eran fiestas del pueblo (no lo sabiamos) y el piso se volvió mas inabitable aún. Nos tuvimos que ir antes de Gerona porque no se podía descansar en ningún momento. El dueño se lava las manos y hemos perdido nuestras vacaciones, dinero y demás.

• madeleine (9/5): un emplacement incroyable et un appartement très joli - un emplacement incroyablement bien situé en pleine vieille ville à 2 min. des restaurants, un appartement très propre et très cosy, cuisine bien agencée (mais il manque une planche à découper) l'arrivée a été difficile, nous pensions recevoir un code pour ouvrir la porte, alors que tout se passe sur votre smartphone et il faut vraiment se trouver devant les portes pour le déclenchement (donc sans code, uniquement avec votre smartphone, mais ça il faut le savoir, pas très explicite avec le mails reçus) Heureusement le propriétaire était au bout du fils mais conversation difficile car pas en français. Un fois que vous avez compris le truc, l'ouverture de la porte principale et de la porte du logement est très facile à chaque fois. Sinon, matelas un peu dur (mais c'est personnel) et il conviendrait de changer absolument le canapé dont les ressorts vous mettent à mal.

• Frances (9/5): Excellent value and we would recommend it to anyone. - The convenient location right in the old quarter with a great choice of restaurants all around us. Liked the restored nature of the apartment with the old exposed stone walls. Only minutes to get to the churches, museums and shops. Good that it had a washing machine when you are on a long trip. All good really. Stairs steep for carrying a bag up, but we’re 70’s and managed.

• Lyndon (1/5): AVOID AT ALL COST ! - Horrendous experience. - Worst experience of my life. Left as soon as I found suitable alternative. Stuck outside for hours trying to get in, then stuck inside due to faulty key. Only stayed one of the three nights booked but owner refuses to refund the payment. This flat is not fit for purpose and I wouldn't recommend to even my worst enemy. Expect compensation from the owner and more support from Booking.com in getting my payment back. Absolute disgrace ! Lack of real assistance from owner, not being able to leave because we couldn't get back in, a key that was faulty, two flats with the same number (2) Her flat can't be number 2 as well !! Reluctance to give a wifi code when we couldn't communicate without it. Actually had use the Book shop nearby for wifi. Supposed to send a technician to repair faulty lock but sent her cleaner. Flat was a safety hazard when you consider the recent power outage in Spain. Hence the reason we had to leave.

• Jonathan (9/5): Great stay, already looking to come back next year. - The apartment was perfectly laid out. Great kitchen, great bathroom and a comfy bed. We didn’t use the TV, so can’t comment on that. The location was the key factor. Very close to shops, bars and restaurants, which is very useful. It can get quite noisy and windows do not shut fully. This is what you get for being in the action though, it is a trade off.
• Claus (8/5): Great location. - Great location in old town with most sights within easy reach on foot. The apartment feels clean, new and with a comfortable bed. Price seemed to be very fair compared to other accommodation in Girona. The couch was not very comfortable. Maybe some instant coffee or capsules to start out with.

Place is true to the pictures and was very comfortable to stay in. Would definitely recommend. Everything was super clean. Nothing it was fantastic.

• Philip (8/5): Well situated flat in beautiful city of Girona. - The internet door entry (Tedee) worked fine - the remote host (Omer) was very helpful and responsive. We had keys as a backup. Washing machine worked. Nice shower. Great location in central Girona. Good value for the price. The smell from the drains in bathroom and sink was overpowering when we arrived. Opening the windows helped but the smell was there all the time during our stay (in January). About 25% of the power outlets were broken (the white plastic shell fell off on a couple). The wifi speed was OK (40/30 Mbps download.upload). The staircase to the flat was pretty cramped but OK for an historic building I suppose.

• Travellingcoral (9/5): Spacious well appointed studio apartment in great central location - The location is perfect for those wanting to explore the old town. There are excellent places to eat almost on the doorstep and at all price points. Shops selling all the food you need to self cater are also nearby. Casa Masó, a must see, is a few minutes away. You can walk to everything you need to from the apartment. The railway station is 15 minutes walk. The apartment is clean, spacious, well organised and comfortable. The host always responded swiftly to messages. I would definitely stay here again. The internet key to open the doors initially. We couldn't get any WiFi so couldn't access the link to open the door. Thankfully staff from the local restaurant helped us to access the building using their WiFi. Many rentals are using this now and It can be problematic for those with limited data or poor connection. It's so much better when someone greets you with physical keys. The door also stuck at times when using the key. There was also some maintenance work in the building. Once that's completed, and the door issue fixed, which the host has said will be done, this apartment will be a perfect 10.
