Facilities were all good, clean & modern Unfortunately the yard wasn't dog proof, there were holes under the fencing in a number of locations where the dog could escape. This meant she couldn't be outside unsupervised

• Justina (9/5): lovely, well appointed cottage for a short stay - Very spacious for a couple plus two small dogs. property is as the photos but probably bigger than we thought it would be. Very well appointed with almost everything we needed for a short stay. we found the bed very comfortable. Lovely fluffy towels provided plus a great fenced yard which our dogs loved and we did some stargazing on a clear night. very effective cooling during the humid weather as well. No dishwasher which we don’t realise when booking so that was a bit annoying. other than that only little niggles such as no dish for the soap in the bathroom and quite a few dead little fruit flies in the corners and wardrobe but appreciate we’re in quite a rural setting.

It’s incredibly pretty and very comfortable overall — the bed was especially comfy, and the large bathroom was a real plus. The kitchen had everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals, and it was wonderful to have the whole property to ourselves. It truly has everything you could need, and we could have happily stayed for a whole week. Nothing

• Linda (10/5): Delightful, well equipped cottage. Perfect place to holiday with your pet dog. - This property is very spacious, modern, clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our time here. It was the perfect property to bring our pet dog. The yard was spacious and well fenced. This property is at the end of a very quiet court with a great walking track close by. Metung Hot Springs were located only a few minutes away. We highly recommend the Blue Lake Cottage and would gladly return.
• Sharon (8/5): Nice place, extremely uncomfortable bed, scalding water and concern for safety of small dogs. - The decor was lovely and the location was good. The double bed mattress is so hard and the pillows need replacing as 2 are flat as pancakes and 2 are so fat and hard they are extremely uncomfortable. I've never slept in a bed that was so hard, my hip bones literally hurt. We almost left a night earlier because of the bed situation. My next concern was how hot the water was, it's actually dangerous. Tip for the shower, take a shower cap if you don't want to wash your hair daily as the shower head is a raindrop one and while it looks lovely it isn't very practical. Finally if I was taking a small dog I'd be concerned it would get out of the garden underneath the fence as there's large gaps down to the reserve below.

• David (7/5): Lovely location and beautiful cottage, was easy to check in but the cleanliness was average. - Peaceful location and beautiful layout and decor. Loved the ambiance when coming into the property with the music on the TV and was nice to have the air conditioning already on and the cottage cool on a hot day when we arrived. The cleanliness was average at best overall. On the surface it was ok but there was Spiders and webs everywhere, bugs and their droppings especially in the cupboards and under the beds and along the cornices. The rug wasn’t clean with black hair and there was also black hair in the new bedding sheets. We had to clean all the dishes as they were dirty and in a poor state from the previous people in the house.
• Rahni (10/5): Such a beautiful place, great area and great accommodation! - We loved the location, beautiful big backyard, great little hidden place at the end of the court. They had spare dog bowls and toys for our puppy which she loved, and we were welcomed with peaceful music. Such a lovely weekend away, we will definately be back!
