Guest Reviews
- Ruben (8/5): -
- Mary (7/5): - Very secure key card for every door and safe free carparking Bathroom and kitchen facilities dated and old. Oven took forever to cook bacon
- KimGadamGames (4/5): Fine - Beds where good Toilet stop getting warter on the last night
no toilet paper
Dirty pan i the draw
- Paul (1/5): poor. Not as advertised. Avoid - The cooker did not work, I emailed the suggested address and received no reply. The ability to cook our own breakfast was a major reason why we selected this property. Also there was no toilet roll when we arrived and we had to buy our own. Absolute zero effort from "hosts", don't stay here
- HUMBERTO (9/5): -
- HUMBERTO (9/5): - Facilidad de entrada
- Ahmed (10/5): Nice property, comfortable location - The property was located in a neighborhood about 15-20 minutes from the city centre (Temple Bar). The property was well equipped of a kitchen area, and 3 private rooms. Very quite area. Close to the airport (10 min by car, 20-25 min by bus)
- Jenny (9/5): Superb -
- Samuel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Colin (1/5): A last resort! - For Dublin, it was reasonably priced. The room and amenities were very poor even for student standards.
- Callum (8/5): Very good -
- Dan (5/5): A chance for old Uni mates to step back in time!!! - Location from airport was easy. Great gym across the road. Helpful staff. Great view from our top floor flat across the city. This is student accomdation so as you'd expect. The lid on the toilet seat was already pullled off when we arrive. Loo roll would have been nice in the room. Windows need some attention as whistle loudly when the wind blows.
- Imogen (5/5): Passable - Lots of space
Quick to heat up Mould on the bed frame
Uncomfortable bed and bedding
- Adam (7/5): Good -
- Leonardo (9/5): Superb -
- Amelia (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (7/5): Good - Good bus connection to city centre. Secure parking Good selection of local takeaways. Furniture slightly worn. Not much cutlery.
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- Tyler (1/5): Renovations on the go and got locked out of the property on the first evening - We got locked out on the first evening with no response from host till lunch time. A lot of the facilities that are stated to be provided are not. They wasn’t even heating as the heaters as they was no power supply to the fuse spurs. Description is incorrect for what you are provided with.
- Vittorio (3/5): It could have been much better even though we didn't have high standards and expectations - The parking place Dirty floor and dishes (few), dripping roof in the living room on rainy days, hair on the sheets, missing towels, dim or non-working lights, old and dirty kitchen fixtures and appliances
- Dennis (7/5): Good - Convenience to public transport. Cafe just up the road for breakfast. the building works that were going on in the apartment next door.
- Yoana (1/5): Instant flashback to Eastern European student accommodations, only they are 10 times cheaper - Good location if you arrive from the airport and you need to commute downtown. Poorly maintained, no hot water (both evening and morning) + no response to my messages
- Carlos (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Brilliant -
- Josey (8/5): Very good -
- Esther (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- Christian (1/5): Too expensive. Shak - Nothing but parking Wrong Code, in the night 00.00h, need 1 hours to clearyfy.. (but Hotline was very helpful and kind..thank you)
Too expensive
Bedsheet with dry blood (but washed)
I didn't want to walk barefoot on the carpet.
- Broadhead (8/5): Very good -
- Nikolay (1/5): Last resort , would definitely not recommend unless you’re really desperate - Location Cleanliness , non attentive manager , poor condition of the property overall , not as advertised on the few pics here
- John (9/5): Convenient for the airport, apartments are basic and unadorned as you would expect of student digs! - No breakfast, useful for the airport. apt was a bit barren...could not lock the front door so had to ensure all bedrooms were locked at night....
- Carola (5/5): Passable - Value for money; parking included; close to a Lidl and bus stop to town; parkrun around the corner :) Not particular clean; kitchen ill equipped; mould in the bathroom
- Jeanette (7/5): Good -
- Nadine (3/5): I would not recommend staying here. - Had a kitchen Mold, horrible smell, mystery stains, broken appliances and furniture, didn’t feel clean - I felt compelled to check for bed bugs
- Mariola (9/5): Superb -
- Shirley (6/5): Affordable spacious student accommodation on a bus route to the city -
- Rose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (6/5): Pleasant -
- Paul (5/5): Ok - Underground car park No signs up around the apartment complex so very hard to figure out where to go! Had to block up the entrance to the carpark to go and get the keys, not setup for short term stays.
- Shay (2/5): Very poor -
- Annamarie (8/5): Excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again. - Great location and loved the secure underground parking. One of the blinds in the bedroom was broken so couldn’t close it. In general the place could do with a paint and update. Doors and flooring very grubby and worn.
- Kiera (3/5): As student accommodation we weren't expecting much but this was disgraceful. - As a place to put our head and sleep it served that purpose and the free parking but that is all. The place is not clean, the smell hits you the second you walk in the door, meaning we had to sit with the balcony doors open morning noon and night. I was quite frankly afraid to touch the carpet as it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time, if ever. I also felt dirtier after my shower as the bathroom was disgusting. There was still water in the kettle and crumbs on the toaster, as well as used tissues in the bedroom.
A major issue is that there is no ability to lock the external door of the apartment once inside, resulting in us having to baricade ourselves in the bedrooms with our valuables in the evenings.
For the money we paid, we would have at least expected basic cleanliness.
- Susan (4/5): Not a good location but easy to head north for day trip. 2 star accommodation. - The free parking Very basic. Not at all like the photos. Pillows were lousy, bed linen was not fresh looking. Plumbing issues upon arrival but promptly attended to and fixed.
- Paul (8/5): Enjoyed our stay - On main road. Clean and quiet Very basic facilities
- Andrew (5/5): Passable - Location was good. It was generally grubby.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (9/5): Good night's sleep - The apartments were large and comfortable the shower had plenty of power and the beds were comfortable The parking was great inside a secure compound which was great as my work van with my tools were safe plus plenty of space for cars to park in the ungrounded parking area all in all had a good stay There was no TV to watch my soaps but had the laptop so watched Netflix
- Meg (8/5): What you would expect for school break student accommodations. - Was convenient to airport and good value. The staff was very easy to communicate with.
- Felicity (9/5): Superb - Easy for the airport for us as a family coming in late with children. Single bed each for us all. Had a jug to make a cuppa we bought our own milk and tea/ coffee.
- Miranda (8/5): Very good - Very spacious. Beds comfortable. Hot water tap in kitchen wasn't working.
- Jessica (5/5): Passable - Good value for money in expensive city, but very basic. . Only single rooms despite advertisement. Very basic, bit run down.
- Philip (7/5): Good base, student accomodation, not a 4 star hotel :-) - All kitchen facilities worked well enough for us. We would have hoovered, but the plug was missing on the machine.
- Paul (5/5): Passable -
- Naheed (10/5): A nice stay - The property is spacious and secure .
The host was on point with good checkin and out All was good
- Felicity (9/5): Superb - Easy to get to. Tidy and clean. Close to the airport for us for a early morning flight.
Didn't think about just single beds but they worked for the evening Didn't know how to get hot water for shower and sink. But only staying one evening I didn't need to ask for help.
- Peter (6/5): Good value but not ideal for couples. - easy key collection
quiet area generally
secure area
good price
Responsive and helpful staff/owner
Floors clean expected a balcony but we were ground floor
wasnt aware it was smoke free site until arrived
expected a double bed, not three seperate rooms (we were 2 couples so sleep arrangement odd)
Few things missing, no shower mat or floor towel (one member slipped and chipped tooth getting in shower on last day)
No hangers, can opener, glasses etc. as its essentially vacant student dorms - we flew so couldnt bring stuff with us.
Oddly couldnt lock front door as it was communal, had to put chairs up against door
More of a location issue: Not close to town centre so spent a lot on buses to and from site (buses only take coins and pre paid cards), Uber was 38 euros
Should be clear its more suited to students/younger individuals
- Helen (7/5): Good value for short stay - Good location-close to M50
Private free onsite parking
Good customer service from John The apartment was very clean but just old and dated in parts particularly the bathroom (shower).
- Rebecca (4/5): Ok - still overpriced for Dublin - Location was good to National sports centre & easy enough to get to off M50. In the heart of Ballymun, near DCU
Near shops
Owner was quick to communicate The outside looks fine
The inside is in serious need of a facelift!
Our apartment was particularly stuffy & grubby (needs windows cleaned etc) ; very basic stuff would make this much better
Key pick up/gate opening/key drop off is not that easy or obvious. Also internal doors didn’t automatically lock however figured out how to do this as we left!
Simple instructions would be useful
Gate opening access should be easier
- Boris (4/5): Disappointing - Communication was good, Keytransfer without problems. Bus station to the city center very near. Centra store around the corner for your needs. This student village is mainlyhabited by workers. I havn't seen any students there. The mattress where totaly saggy. The cleaness of therroms where ok, but everything felt a bit sticky. The rooms where very sober.
- Lucienne (8/5): Very good -
- Baramatiwala (1/5): The rooms were very dirty. - The location is good. There is no cleanliness, the carpets were smelly and the windows were dirty could hardly see anything outside.
- Carolina (6/5): Pleasant - Location It’s way too simple for the price we pay
- Darlene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kawaya (10/5): Home away from home - Great location and safe None
- Shebby (7/5): Good -
- Bazylevska (10/5): Recommend - Good and cheap apartment
- Milo (10/5): Very pleasant stay, will be back. - Had a very pleasant stay in Gateway. Very easy to access the city centre from and the outskirts of Dublin. Especially helped that I could park my work van in underground car park safe and sound.
- Vlahović (7/5): Good -
- Aishling (8/5): Very good - Location was perfect, easy check in and we felt it was very good value for what we paid. Staff were very helpful
- Victor (7/5): Good - Exactly what you’d expect from a student village. Well deserved by buses to go in the city center. Pretty convenient to have a kitchen and 24h self-check in. John was super helpful during our stay! The apartment is very simple and maybe a little worn but it is what you would expect from a student housing and also from the price you pay, so we were happy with our stay.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Noel (10/5): Exceptional - Customer service from John was exceptionall very good facilities all round. Not relavent
- Damian (8/5): Very good -
- Maurice (5/5): Average , good location - property needs a paint and the shower area had mould and didn’t fell clean - Good location , staff were very helpful Issue getting access to the parking , key cards didn’t work - property could of been painted properly , bathroom was also not clean in the shower area - also no double beds offered in one of the rooms as per booking
- Tracy (9/5): Great location and a very comfortable stay! - Great spacious apartment, clean and bright. Location was perfect and we loved the easy fuss-free check-in. Thanks so much John, for your help and speedy response to our questions regarding buses etc. We loved being near the big retail part too! Nothing.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (7/5): Good - John (admin guy, only spoke to him on the phone) was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great to have a secure parking area. Short walking distance to supermarket. Bedside lamps didn't work, could do with more/better cutlery, serving bowls, and pots with lids that actually fit! A proper sweeping brush would have been handy for the kitchen/sitting area. Persistent odd electrical/motor buzzing sound in the hallway of the apartment one of our three nights, don't know what that was (not bathroom fan, don't think it was water pump). Would have been good to have a dishwasher. Maybe a TV too.
- Daithí (7/5): Very nice - Was good facilities rooms were very nice
- Olive (6/5): Just about passable -
- Angela (7/5): Good -
- Mccole (1/5): Bad -
- Gemma (7/5): Will do a very short stay especially if you need parking - Minimally equipped kitchen but did the job. Towels supplied, one each. Vending machines outside is useful. Free parking (if you can find it). Bed was comfortable but glad I brought my own pillow. Did the job for one night. If there are a few of you this works out better than a hotel, just be mindful it's a bit of a journey out of the city centre. The window in one room was missing a seal so the road noise was really bad. There was mould in the corner of one of the rooms making the room smell musty. Cleanliness is ok but needs improved, the shower was all limescale and the shower rail rusted. Struggled to find the parking when arriving late and there is no one to ring or ask on site, so if you have difficulty finding the place at night there is no help. Parking signage really needed. Can hear the other apartment doors moving.
- Eilean (8/5): Very good -
- Katie (5/5): A quick stop in Dublin - We stayed here for one layover night before our flight home. The staff is very responsive and we appreciated the easy check in/out process and price was fair compared to other prices in Dublin on a weekend night, but keep in mind it's a dorm room. Three twin beds for 4 adults, no extra bedding or blanket so it was too cold to sleep on the couch, twin bed is a little small for 2 adults, but we made it work. There is a full drawer of cookware and utensils but only one cup in the cupboard.
- Sinead (4/5): Disappointing - Only 2 cups and 1 glass in apartment and fridge hadn’t been turned on. Placed smelled stale. No instructions on how to turn on hot water.
- Dorota (2/5): Very poor - There was black mould on the bed and blinds in the bedroom. Musty smell. The toilet seat was broken.
- Zoe (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michael (4/5): Disgustingly dirty (with blood stain on pillow case) that is around nothing. Way over priced. - Free parking. There was a blood stain on my pillow case, it was filthy, it was near nothing. Definitely a college dorm type of facility that is not kept up with.
- Mary (8/5): Great place to stay,we were in Dublin for the athletics in Morton stadium,Santry and it was close by - beds were comfortable I had booked 2 single rooms/beds and a double bed in a double bedroom which was not there - all were single beds in the apartment
There were 4 mugs & cutlery , surely there could be plates ,glasses etc._ just a suggestion
- Erik (6/5): Nice and cheap accomodation if you use it as a place to sleep and keep your luggage while you’re out. - It was spacious, the kids were happy to get their own rooms. Also nice with our own kitchen. It is a long way from Dublin city center, even though it is close to a bus stop.
Being a student home it is quite worn and not very cosy.
- Daly (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (3/5): V poor level of cleanliness. Would not return - Location Cleanliness terrible
- Catherina (6/5): Need to put up realistic pictures. - Very secure, card access to all entrances and doors. Large apartment 4 single bed rooms. Clean bedding and towels.
Bus just down the street Mold on blinds in all rooms, kitchen very basic and old equipment, OK for us as we didn't use this facility.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Spaciousness.
Location close to airport Living room window dirty.
Some stains on floor in hallway.
Couldn't work shower but had a bath instead.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Plenty of public transport to centre of Dublin and close to the airport
- Moss (10/5): Fantastic stay. Great ppl. - Absolutely brilliant place to stay great location close to the airport close to the city centre shod and supermarkets around walking distance
Self catering facilities roomy and clean all you need is there, great clean bathroom to use
Great staff and very accommodating
Best value for money in Dublin.
- Joe (5/5): Passable -
- Alison (8/5): Basic, clean, convenient and safe. Did the trick - Friendly, helpful hosts. 15 mins from the airport Pillows 2 per bed
- Ronan (9/5): Superb -
