Guest Reviews
- William (5/5): Very nice, but... ...and it's a big but. - 1) Most facilities work in perfect order;
2) The shower room is brand new and clean. This is a big plus;
3) The front door gives guests a sense of security;
4) Having late-hour convenience stores in the neighbourhood is a plus;
5) The property is located at comfortable walkable distance from what interests tourist the most: the historic town centre (Cathedral+Giralda, Alcazar, etc.); 1) The flat has no windows. I did not notice this important detail being clearly mentioned anywhere when considering a booking, if at all. This alone should be enough reason to add a considerable discount;
2) The entire borough where we stayed was covered in flags: always the same flag (either of a political party or of a specific ideology). Last time I saw this was when reading a school history book detailing life in several European countries in the 1930s, 40s and beyond. I am surprised that a property in such a borough was included in a recommendations list for a family;
3) A few items of convenience which, when missing or broken, become a significant inconvenience:
(A) after the first toilet flush, the subsequent flushes invariably lead the water level to rise almost to the brim of the toilet bowl. This is very annoying;
(B) a square painting tile on the upper floor came off in the middle of the night, falling on my son's head. That's a scary experience for a child;
(C) one of the only two available hooks on the wall of the shower room was missing;
(D) the toilet seat ring/cover was loose on one side (probably one screw which secures it was missing);
(E) almost invariably, all cutlery and/or crockery which we picked up to use to prepare some food had small quantities of food rest (either sauce or fat) on them. I mean, we had to pay €30 for the clean up after our stay, and we washed up all cutlery and crockery which we used ourselves. This should be a given for any/every previous guest. Also, a second (or even third) tea towel would have made a world of difference;
4) as a former volunteer firefighter, I can tell you without hesitation: if you lock the flat door, a fire breaks out in that flat and you don't know where the front door key is, your skills to remain calm and find that key will be tested to the limit.
