• Susan (9/5): - Great location, just a couple of minutes to "restaurant street." Host met us at the door and gave us an extremely helpful orientation to Dubrovnik and a great restaurant recommendation. Room was very comfortable. A lot of narrow stairs, but worth it!
• SW022 (10/5): Amazing place to stay at the heart of Dubrovnik Old Town! - We liked that the owner was friendly and pointed out a few nice spots to visit. The room was clean and the balcony gave nice views up towards the city walls and down towards the main street. The location was perfect as it was just off the busy main street but easy access to a shop and restaurants. A lovely place to stay! Exposed stone was gave off a few bits of dust.

• Daniel (8/5): Amazing location, perfect for visit to the old town - The location is fantastic, central to all you would need in Dubrovnik old town. The hosts are great too, helping is arrange a transport from the airport and then meeting us at the gates for the old town. Room itself, whilst small has everything you could need, the bed was comfortable and the balcony was an added bonus. The shower in the bathroom is a great shower but the water goes everywhere, we had to put a towel down to avoid water being everywhere each time we showered which isnt ideal.

• Lindsey (10/5): Lovely guesthouse with great location and good price - Lovely apartment which was very clean and modern but still had the old stone bricks in places giving it an authentic feel for the location which is inside the old city walls. Our room had a small balcony which meant we could dry any clothes off from water activities. The host Gasper was super friendly and helpful, he arranged a private airport taxi up to the main city then he walked to meet us and walked us a few minutes directly to the apartment which was really helpful so we wasn’t looking around for it. He also gave us some suggestions where to eat and what to do. Would definitely recommend staying here, a few minutes walk and you have loads of eating places, shops and the old city walls & ruins to look around.

Stepping outside meant being immediately immersed in one of the most beautiful and atmospheric places we have ever visited. Our host was absolutely wonderful, welcoming us warmly from the moment we arrived and making sure we had everything we needed. The hosts were the most kind and welcoming that we ever met. They allowed us to have the room earlier and gave us plenty of useful tips and recommendations for our stay. The room itself was very comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated. We had the one with the balcony and it was totally worth it. Room clean and well kept up we were in top room - after a long day out, stairs can be interesting, but common in Dubrovnik Garpar was more than an excellent host. He made our stay very enjoyable. Very good help and suggestions. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Only suggestion I would make is to improve the shower - shower head is too near the opening and the bathroom tends to get wet.

The location is very convenient and right in the center of everything. The room was great and comfortable. Gasper was an amazing host. He met me outside in the rain and carried my bags for me, and then gave me a lot of helpful information about the city, where to eat, etc. I felt really safe and happy staying here.

Bed was comfortable; the comforter should handed been larger though. Be prepared to walk a lot of steps to get to the property. There was no lift so there were many more to our room on the 4th floor.

• Mary (10/5): Wonderful Hotel, Great Location! - This is a great place to stay. The rooms are smallish, but very charming, comfortable and reflective of old town. It was in a great location and it was such fun to arrive in the evening and go out immediately to enjoy the sights all lit up at night. There are wonderful restaurants and shops right next door. Dino was very helpful and patient. We had two groups of us arriving and I miscommunicated our time of arrival. Dino ran over to help one couple get in . It is very close to the Pile Gate. Be sure to have your Bolt driver drop you off there. Our cab driver dropped us off at the Buza Gate......miserable mistake! We had a hundred steps (or more) to carry our luggage down in order to get to the hotel. Of course, this was no one's fault (maybe the cab driver since we were told to go to the Pile Gate. Our driver didn't have the license to get close, so it's important to use Bolt if you can), but be aware to go to the Pile Gate. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from there. Still plenty of steps, but manageable.

• LeeAnne (1/5): Do not recommend this hotel - The location was fine. The room was dark, small and the shower would soak the entire bathroom floor because there was no shower enclosure to prevent water flow. The manager made no contact in advance to advise us of how to enter the property. The room was depressing and too small for two adults with suitcases. The shower was not enclosed so the bathroom was soaked if you shower.
• Ian (10/5): Dubrovnik City Break. - Everything really. Room was a bit smaller than it looked in photos but that's a minor point. Tremendous location and very quiet. Gasper was very friendly and knowledgeable as was Alen the taxi driver who collected us from the airport and took us back. Could have done with a few more teabags but that could be nit picking.

• Laura (9/5): - De locatie is top. Midden in het oude centrum maar toch stil in de kamer. De host was vriendelijk, enthousiast, toegankelijk en gaf ons uitgebreide uitleg en tips. De kamer zit in een historisch gebouw waarbij de oude details mooi zijn behouden maar in de kamer zelf is alles heel nieuw. Er is geen douchedeur waardoor de badkamervloer nat wordt na een douchebeurt. Een extra set handdoeken was beter geweest.

Dino was very helpful with explaining a bit about what we might enjoy doing in Dubrovnik and providing restaurant recommendations. The shower is partially open to the bathroom and quite small, with no lip to help keep the water in so it was challenging not to get the bathroom floor rather wet. But that’s it!

• Nikki (10/5): Perfect_ Congenial Hosts, Immaculate room, Great Location - Both owners were kind and helpful. Dino met us upon arrival and gave us a few little hints about what to do. He very kindly arranged transportation to the airport for us, and his partner came to our room at the designated time, helped with bags, and walked us to the pick-up spot for less than a taxi. The room was immaculate, pretty, well-equipped with bathroom essentials, and had a great shower with ample water pressure. The location is inside Old Town where all kinds of food, drinks, and shops abound, yet it was peaceful enough to sleep very well in a comfortable bed. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer.
• Cross (9/5): Wonderful all the way around. - The hosts were fantastic! The location was ideal. It was quiet, the AC unit kept the room cold and the blackout blinds kept the room dark. I felt very safe and comfortable in the room. Be aware that all locations inside the old city have many steep stairs to climb. as an American, I would have liked a little bit fuller pillow, and maybe a door on the shower to stop the floor from getting so wet. It is a European room and my discomfort were very, very trivial.

The room was compact but comfortable and all the fixtures and appliances were in good order. It is slightly pricey for the size of room, but that mostly reflects the pricing environment of Dubrovnik Old Town.

• Norma (5/5): OK - The guy who welcomed us was very cordial and informative. Provided us with a map of the area and explained a few things for us. The room was very basic and small. The furniture feels a bit outdated. I booked in 5 other places in Croatia, including another place in Dubrovnick for my return and unfortunately this room did not meet my expectations. The clothes closet/cabinet needs to be attached to the wall. It almost fell on us a couple of times. As others have mentioned, the mattress is hard, the shower needs a wall or curtain, and the fridge is miniscule.

Gasper was an excellent welcoming host and told me everything I needed to know about the room - and was always available on WhatsApp. We had the only room with the little balcony, which made morning coffee a pleasure. Obviously a lift to your floor would be welcome, but understandably impossible in an historic building.

But Gaspar was very attentive in getting us checked in earlier than planned into our room. Would be good to put on the website which gate to have to come through that would be closer to the apartment. Our driver took us to a gate which was very very steep and lots of steps to finally make it to the apartment. With luggage it is a bit hard to navigate

The room was so beautifully decorated and welcoming. The hosts were friendly, communicative and helpful. The mattress was pretty hard and lumpy. I was able to use the duvet as a pad to help.

• Karen (10/5): A perfect romantic luxury apartment in the heart of a beautiful city. - The apartment was in the best location, with everything literally on the doorstep. The quality of the room was exceptional. A massive thank you to Gasper for helping us with our luggage up the city steps and the 2 flights of stairs in the apartment block! His knowledge & passion for the city itself was fantastic and we learned some great hints & tips. We’ll certainly recommend to friends and family. Nothing!

The room was very nicely presented, recent renovation. Gasper gave us some great tips and gudiance upon check-in. There are only four rooms, one on each floor, so it's nice and quiet. We had the highest floor so had to climb up several flights of stairs, but wasnt too bad.
