I - The location, the pool access, ac was good, ensuite bathroom, lots of pots, pans. Coffee maker, kettle, toaster. Nice fridge, stove and washer. Everything was adequate. The water disruptions due to the water main breaks.

Good sized apt. #7 was a 2 bed with one ensuite, on ground floor - pool accessible from terrace. Easy walk to Thunder Bay. West coast is best! - also easy access up to Gibbs, & Mullins (The Sea Shed, Larry Rogers & beaches), Speightstown (The Fish Pot, Pier One & Heywood beach) The apt needs freshening up, a deep neat bleach clean, new kitchen and basic upgrades Online photos are of multiple apts so until arrival you don't know which apt you'll get. #7 requires updating in our opinion. We were very disappointed it was described as a deluxe apt. It is in fact an owners apt with the majority of cupboards and wardrobes locked. The kitchen and bathrooms require a deep clean with neat bleach to remove staining. Kitchen bin, walls, sink & drainer were old stained. Microwave stunk of curry. The kettle didn't boil. The crockery is all miss-matched -it's basic to expect clean & matching sets. Three wine glasses for 4 people (one chipped). Old well used misted up plastic cracked drinking cups - we avoided using those. Generally a lot of items need throwing out and replacing - stained place mats, grubby oven glove and worn chopping board etc Dust/dirt, crisp, toy car and empty water bottle under beds and sofa but to give credit Fatema came the next day and brought the cleaner, a replacement kettle and replaced the TV as LED's had gone along with a midweek clean. The pool wasn't clean on arrival. Fatema gave me the Lantana managements mobile and after a WhatApp video call and he saw the state of it he agreed and sent a pool cleaner to skim surface and it was vacuumed the next day though the surrounding lounger area was never pressure washed during our stay. The neighbours cockerel, chickens and chicks roamed freely daily - basic netting on the lower part of the front gates would help keep them out? The front page of the apt information book says no animals - as un hygienic !!! The cooker info also needs updating as it's now a Bosch hob. To get the oven to work press the 'ok' button! The old building directly in front (not Lantana owned) was demolished on our second to last day! A huge noisy backhoe digger arrived and without any notice tore down the whole building and cleared the site.

• Veronica (9/5): A place in the sun with a beautiful view of the beach, pending on which side your apartment is. - A beautifully laid out apartment with everything you need to enjoy a short break. Fatema was a key role to making my stay perfect, she was there with any questions I needed answering. The decor was pleasant to look at, the bed was comfortable, I would recommend it very highly. There wasn’t anything really, it was organised really well.

The furniture need updating, the refrigerator wouldn't close without a struggle, the television is old and didnt work well. The unit also need shelves in the bathrooms and atleast one mirror. They only mirror was over the sink in the bathrooms. House keeping was the best thing about this unit. Property is perfect, just ensure you are renting a kept unit.

But the unit came with a lot of amenities including a washing machine which was quite nice and it is reasonable driving distance from town.

It was so lovely to be able to go in and out of the apartment into the pool area and have the convenience of being able to pop back indoors if we needed anything. Bedroom very cool with air con and fans elsewhere in the apartment. Kitchen well equipped and a large fridge/freezer. Fatima very helpful, prompt with answering any whatsapp queries and allowed us to stay on a little later on our last day as we had a late flight, which was brilliant as we could use the shower before we left. We will be back! Nothing, we loved every minute!

Only steps to main road to catch the bus. Very relaxing and quiet, enjoyed the patio deck day and night. The staff were great and helpful when our family arrived a day early, able to rent an extra bedroom at a reasonable price so they could stay with us the one night. Distance to grocery; next time I’d rent a car but we didn’t mind the bus. Other villas we’ve stayed in normally provide some basics to help start the stay, like a welcome basket, to get through first night, that would be have been nice to have.

• Joanne (8/5): - We have been coming to the island for 40 years. We feel this condo unit is overpriced for what you get in terms of location and ammenities. The condo itself was nicely decorated, it was clean and there was everything you need in the kitchen. Comfortable seating, although the lighting is very dim!! AC in every room was appreciated!! Housekeeping staff were very friendly and attentive! Unfortunately, we had issues with the en-suite shower. After 3 minutes the bathroom was flooded. Safety issues with shower design and slippery tiles. Management responded quickly when we notified them and a plumber came the next morning. Drainage issues continued during our stay. The washing machine which was listed in the property profile was not operstional. All ground-floor units in this complex have direct access to the pool. All other units need to go down the back stairs and walk outside around the building to reach the pool. The area appears to not have fully recovered since Covid. Many popular establishments have closed down. Public transportation in very close!

We arrived from the airport only to find 2 bathrooms without any soap to wash one's hands. I would be we stay here again. Barbados is beautiful but this apartment was a total fail.

• Naomi (8/5): Great balcony/terrace! - The balcony was amazing - space to chill on comfy outdoor seating and also a dining table - wasn't expecting that so that was a nice surprise overlooking the pool! Getting the keys was easy but be warned the entrance info only gets sent the day of arrival and most people don't use their data roaming in barbados - we asked for it the day before. There is a washing machine and plenty of dryers which was great for doing a quick wash as we were mid holiday when we stayed there. The kitchen is well stocked. The items that the apartment is stocked with is a bit random - a full kitchen roll but only one toilet roll. A full body wash and hand wash which i feel like most people would bring themselves and not need supplying but again only one toilet roll (we only stayed for 2 nights so we didn't really want to have to buy a whole pack!), and no tea/coffee/sugar at all in the kitchen - I think it's nice to leave a small tea/coffee pack for the first night for guests and i'd say this would be preferable to leaving kitchen roll or toiletries in my opinion. watch out for the water - it tasted funny and it's the only place on the island where we got sick so i'd avoid drinking it. The pillows are all huge and the bed is very soft so it's a slightly uncomfortable position - would be better if there was a choice of big or small pillows. overall we thought it was great and just what we needed for our stay!

I was ready to leave and i was informed i could leave my suitcase outside on the lower floor balcony. The domestic cleaner was extremely rude and offensive towards me. I tried to explain but decided to leave the suit case outside next door near the pool. I telephoned the agent to inform her about the member of staff. She listened but just kept making excuses. My friend and i come to Barbados at least 5 times a year and have used the Lantana many time, however i will not be using this service again. This member of staff was so offensive and rude, she ruined my stay.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in a comfy, well located location. - I sent my parents on holiday as they hadn’t been away for years, and this was the ideal accommodation for them. Fatama (who runs the place) couldn’t have helped more, and was brilliant in every way. The flat was comfortable, clean and a great location on the west coast to get to gorgeous beaches and restaurants. My parents loved it and will definitely go back!

I would suggest more clothes hangers in all bedrooms, would be good to have dressing table and chair in some bedrooms and shelves in the bathroom for cosmetics creams etc. Kitchen was great perhaps provide big salad bowls. Lovely staff and security available from 6 pm.
• Julie P. (10/5): Flavour of the neighbourhood - If you like to have an experience of the geography of the place you are visiting, this resort is it! It gave me the impression that I was living in Barbados at the same time as being very comfortable. Loved the vibe of the location. Wifi was impeccable and bus stop super close. Walking in either direction provided us with literally every thing we needed.

The unit itself was nice, we really liked it, however to no fault of anyone, the shower backed up and flooded the room and the tiles in the hallway popped and cracked, was a bit disconcerting. Other than those two incidences it was quite nice place to stay.
• Rashaad (8/5): Really nice and cozy place - The stay was wonderful. The pool was nice and heated, the rooms were pretty much sound proof and there was a great freshness to the room. The patio was a great place to relax and have some fresh air. The only drawbacks were there seemed to be quite a few mosquitos and flies about. I don't know the reason why but they were great in number and left me and my partner with significant bites. Overall though I would say this is a good getaway .

(8/5): Convenient position on West Coast. - We were very pleased with the apartment but it was the lack of information from the time of booking plus being given the wrong code to access the apartment which spoilt the lead up to and beginning of our holiday. From the moment we booked the lack of communication regarding our booking made me doubt that we had one at all. Twice I rang Homeaway support who confirmed our booking was sound and was through Expedia. This was all news to me. Also there were 2 taxes we had to pay on the island which we hadn’t been notified of. All in all what should have been a time of looking forward to a special holiday was spoilt by doubt that our booking was sound. I will not book through Homeaway again but will go to the Lantana Resort in Weston but will book direct with Island Villa Holidays.

The apartment was pleasant although the bedrooms are not big and one of the bathroom is rather small and needs a detailed cleanup (grout). Nice living room with a well equipped kitchen. Very safe pool; also for young children. Great (although small) patio with nice furniture. Plenty of parking. Great beach 15 min walk, next to Lonestar hotel; great for swimming, water sports, snorkeling, water skiing. You can rent beach chairs. Very easy and fast communication with Fatema. Bus stop is located next to the condos; reliable, safe and cheap. It can take you to Holetown and beyond. However, in order to explore the island it is better to have a car, which can be arranged by Fatema.

Very clean and well taken care of with all the necessary amenities to make you comfortable . The pool was clean and very private. And the beach is located within walking distance as well. Would definitely stay here again . Fatima was Also very kind and patiently waited for us to arrive to help us get settled in.
