- Carolien (8/5): Heerlijke plek om lekker bij te komen en te genieten van Palomino - Heerlijke plek met een mooie familiekamer met uitzicht op zee, een heel lekker zwembad en een onverwacht lekkere sauna. Door de onrustige zee en regen/ wind in de nacht moet je wel tegen wat geluid kunnen ‘s nachts, maar wij sliepen er juist lekker op. Verder was de plek prima tov het centrum (15 min lopen over het strand) en boden ze echt heerlijke massages aan, aanrader zeker in combi met de sauna. Let wel op voor de vele muggen overdag. Tuin is erg verzorgd en zit vol met mooie vogels, vlinders en grote kleurrijke hagedissen. Ook het eten was echt heel lekker en het ontbijt was afwisselend en heel lekker. Het personeel was super behulpzaam en lief. Dank voor het heerlijke verblijf! Niks

- Lukas (9/5): Sehr schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage - Sehr schönes Hotel direkt am Meer mit freundlichem Personal, tollem Pool und Restaurant. Leider ist die Strömung im Meer sehr stark und der Strand abgetragen, sodass man nur schwierig im Meer schwimmen kann. Auch der Weg zur touristischen "Hauptstraße" ist hierdurch sehr erschwert. Man läuft ca. 20 Minuten.

- Dorothee (10/5): Zum Entspannen der richtige Ort, bei kleineren Mängeln in der Zimmerausstattung - Es ist ein Ort zum Entspannen! Wir haben die Tage hier sehr genossen. Wir wussten dass es abseits liegt und sind an einem Nachmittag über den Strand in den Ort gelaufen, es hat uns dort aber nicht so gut gefallen und wir waren froh als wir wieder zurück waren. Das Essen war immer frisch, reichlich und sehr gut. Auch am Pool wurde man mit Drinks von der Bar verwöhnt. Es geht hier alles etwas langsamer, Check-in, Check-out... Aber auch das ist nicht schlimm, wir sind schließlich im Urlaub und haben Zeit Die Zimmerausstattung könnte etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit vertragen. Z. B. Fehlte eine Scheibe an der Terrassentür, es gibt kein Licht bzw Lichtschalter am Bett. Auch das Trinkwasser und die Gläser wurde leider nicht täglich gewechselt, was schade war, da der Preis für den Aufenthalt ja foch eher teuer ist

- Maik (10/5): Entspannung pur in traumhafter Strandlage - Traumhafte Lage direkt am langen Strand von Palomino. Wer entspannen will ist hier richtig. Ob Strand oder sehr schöner Pool direkt daneben. Wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer mit Balkon zum Strand hinaus - Meeresrauschen dauerhaft. Wer das nicht mag, nimmt besser Zimmer nach hinten raus. Frühstück einfallsreich - jeden Tag warmes Gericht. Personal super nett, Service auch. Essen im Restaurant sehr gut, große Karte zu fairen Preisen. Eigentlich alles wunderbar! Vielleicht etwas Musik in Bar und Restaurant wäre nett. Zum Ort ist es ein halbe Stunde Fußweg am Strand lang. Aber das macht ja auch Spaß 😎

- Daan (10/5): Geweldig - Mooi hotel, prachtige tuinen , heerlijk zwembad , luxe maar toch dat Eco gevoel zonder het massale gevoel. super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. We hebben vóór ons verblijf contact opgenomen via whatsapp, snel geholpen en wij kregen ook video’s van de kamers om te kijken wat het meest geschikte voor ons gezin van 5 was. Uiteindelijk 2 kamers geboekt. alle faciliteiten werkten ook ook( wat niet altijd vanzelfsprekend is in Colombia) Goed onderhouden kamers , goede airco, goede bedden, fijne douche. De ligging was voor ons ideaal, direct aan zee en niet naast de massa maar lekker beetje afgelegen gevoel en eigenlijk het dorp is makkelijk te bereiken met tuk-tuk. Het eten in het restaurant is ook goed en qua prijzen ook prima. Zeker een aanrader Geen negatieve punten

- Juan Pablo (10/5): Un hotel maravilloso que se siente como tu hogar - Las habitaciones están en perfecto estado y el descanso es ideal. Las zonas comunes están bien cuidadas y la calidad de la comida que se sirve allí es muy buena (nuestras favoritas: hamburguesa CrispyBurger y los dedos de pollo apanados). Nos encantó y volveríamos todas las veces que fuera posible. Mención especial para la atención del personal, especialmente Carolina y María José. Positivo también que respetan a los animales de la zona, disfrutamos mucho de los perritos, como Rocky y la Pecosa (no la saquen, por favor). La zona húmeda (piscina y jacuzzi) es muy, muy agradable. Tiene lavapies y ducha, varias tumbonas y una pérgola. En la piscina faltan algunos azulejos, pero no es un problema (es más estético que funcional). Nos gustó mucho que no ponen música, por lo cual se disfruta el ambiente, el sonido del mar y permite conversar con calma. La playa se puede disfrutar, con cuidado y cerca a la orilla. Idealmente, en la mañana que el viento es más suave y el oleaje no es tan fuerte. El clima es impredecible y una de las tardes del hospedaje cayó una tormenta eléctrica impresionante, de ahí la recomendación: sería ideal tener sombrillas en buen estado para las habitaciones. Tampoco pudimos disfrutar del sauna porque estaba averiado, pero al momento del checkout ya lo estaban arreglando.

Big rooms with a terrace and the one with the jacuzzi is extra big and on the top floor so you have a nice view. The people working there are very very kind and helpful. The breakfast was not so diverse and fresh.

Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, la comida muy buena y las personas que trabajan allí se encargan de hacer de este hotel un lugar de descanso total. No es culpa del hotel pero es muy dificil caminar por la playa hasta el pueblo.

- Gerardo Andres (10/5): Paraíso en la guajira - Destaco la amabilidad del personal del hotel y su ubicación en un sitio de gran belleza natural cerca del centro poblado, pero lo suficientemente alejado para estar fuera del bullicio de Palomino y permitir un descanso completo. Todo estuvo muy bien, sin embargo creo que podrían mejorar en la variedad y cantidad del desayuno.

- Carmen (10/5): Een paradijs in Colombia ☀️ - Het personeel, het zwembad, de lekkere bedden, de goede cocktails, de prachtige tuin en plek aan het strand. Je kunt tuben, het park bekijken, maar je hoeft niet weg want het is daar al een paradijsje op zich. Er is niets wat ons niet beviel. We hebben af en toe elders geluncht, op 8-10 minuutjes lopen van het strand, voor de afwisseling. Mijn kinderen en ik vonden de zee en de golven fantastisch, voor kleine kinderen kunnen de golven te hoog zijn, maar is er ook een heerlijk zwembad.

Perfecte plek om een paar dagen uit te rusten. Het ligt iets verder van de gezelligheid van Palomino. Op zich geen probleem. Suggestie is misschien een klein cocktail barretje voor bij de zonsondergang te genieten van een lekker drankje en de mooie ondergaande zon.

- Carolina (9/5): Paz y Belleza Natural - Es un lugar absolutamente mágico y maravilloso. Una playa exuberante llena de paz, tranquilidad, naturaleza y sin bullicio. Es un lugar espectacular, sencillo, con todo lo necesario para desconecatrse y para tener una relación directa y profunda con la naturaleza. El personal es ejemplar, todos muy cálidos y serviciales. La habitación muy cómoda y el lugar perfecto para aquellos que quieren un eco resort al lado de una de las playas más hermosas de Colombia. La piscina muy tranquila y limpia. La comida exquisita. El desayuno fué delicioso y variado todos los días. Se nota el amor con que se preprarabn los platos. Los platos pedidos a la carta durante el almuerzo y la cena se demoraban mucho, había que pedirlos con 3 horas de anticipación. No tuvimos agua caliente en nuestra habitación. El menú debería incluir variedd de ensaladas y platos vegetarianos.

- Iris (9/5): Perfect place to relax with a warm and welcoming staff. - I really recommend Coconuco Beach in Palamino! The hotel is very nice and the staff is so attentive and friendly. We had a small problem with our room, but the staff fixt it perfectly right away. The whole look and feel of the place is great! Lots of plants en flowers around the compound and really well kept. Food and drinks were also good, for a fair price! And a nice swimming pool. Everything was very good! Sometimes the WiFi was not as good, but always good enough the receive and send messages. But most of the times not a problem!

The town of Palomino is not very appealing, although full of mediocre restaurants and shops, and I recommend staying in the resort or wandering down the beach to other resorts for dining purposes. A good place to spend a few relaxing days and nights. I wish the nearby town of Palomino was more attractive and interesting and a better place to wander around for part of a day.

La playa tiene rocas, grandes que pueden lastimar. Me parece oportuno considerar una mejora que ayude a mitigar eso de tal modo que uno se pueda bañar con menos riesgo de lastimarse.

Ambiente tranquilo y familiar. Recomiendo la Piña Colada. Todo me gustó. El mar es muy fuerte y por esto casi no hay playa. Pero tiene piscina y también se puede ir caminando (20 minutos) hasta el río Salvador o hacia el otro lado se encuentra Palomino.

Our room was huge with an awesome balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. Lovely, kind service and advice from the staff. Shout out to the wonderful Carolina who made our trip. Nothing really, just to note the sea is pretty rough and there's a lot of coastal erosion by the hotel so sea swimming is not a given.

Die Wartung und Pflege der Zimmer lässt doch zu wünschen übrig. Es waren wirklich wenige Gäste und ich meine nicht der erste gewesen zu sein, der sowohl das Nichtfunktionieren des Kühlschranks UND der Klimaanlage beanstandete. Nun, das sind alles "kleine Mängel", aber der Preis ist nicht ganz so klein. Daher hält sich mein Verständnis hierfür in Grenzen. Was nervig ist ist, dass man der Küche 1, am besten 2 oder mehr Stunden im Voraus seine Wünsche bekanntgeben soll. Wenn man dies nicht tut wird man wiederholt darauf angesprochen, seine Auswahl zu treffen. Ich für meine Person, möchte mit gutem Appetit essen gehen und dann das bestellen, worauf ich in diesem Moment Lust habe. OK, wäre es nur das, aber: Mit Ausnahme des Ceviche war das Essen doch eher eine große Enttäuschung. Beim Servieren der Shrimps Diavola (an den genauen Namen kann ich mich nicht erinnern), war meine Toleranzschwelle aber überschritten. Schade um das Leben der hierfür gestorbenen Tiere. Die Shrimps in einer Ketchup-ähnlichen Sauce zu ertränken, begleitet von einem undefinierbaren Dip ... das war letztlich zu viel für mich. Leider waren auch die anderen Speisen nicht so gut, dass es ein Avisieren der Speisen 1 bis 2 oder mehr Stunden im Voraus rechtfertigen würde. Im Grunde hat mich das Gesamtpaket nicht übrzeugt, so ehrlich muss ich an dieser Stelle sein.

- Joana (10/5): Quiet green oasis - ideal to relax and unwind - We had a wonderful time at Coconuco Beach Resort. It is a quiet oasis just 10 minutes walking distance outside of buzzing Palomino. We really had a great and relaxing time. The rooms are very clean, the premises are well looked after and the staff went out of their way to make this stay a 10/10.

- Eddie (5/5): Great potential but missed the mark - We spent five days and four nights here. I really wanted to love this hotel but between things that made no sense, lack of training and process, and other shortcomings they unfortunately missed the mark. Everything about the property (but the breakfast) is like the photos. It’s beautiful and in a beautiful location. The rooms are nice and it really has a boutique feel. The beds are very comfortable. The AC works great. The grounds are lush and colorful macaws fly around all day. The pool area is beautiful. The hotel is literally on the beach. Just steps away waves crash on the shore. The restaurant is open air and every table has an ocean view. There is even a small table setup right by the shore if you want to literally dine on the beach. They decorate and set up for a romantic dinner at no extra charge. In our case though, they forgot our reservation. The food for lunch and dinner is pretty good but at times inconsistent and the menu is very varied. Lots of items were unavailable during our stay. There are plenty of lounge chairs by the pool. There are small cabanas along the beach. The service at reception is good and friendly. Poolside and restaurant service is friendly but quite disorganized and extremely slow. The rooms are well appointed. Well maintained. Rooms are a comfortable size with a private terrace and ample bathroom. All in all the facilities are good. We even lost power during a torrential downpour and within a minute we had power again as the property has a generator. The WiFi in our room was unstable, slow and all too often not working at all. There is very little cell phone service on the property and at this level and price point you just need stable and consistent WiFi. The only place the WiFi was usually reliable was by reception, which indicates to me they just don’t put enough coverage to the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was extremely disappointing. It is way too limited and not very good. A buffet on a good day consists of a couple types of fruit, two types of dry cereal, a limited bread selection and one juice option. Then there is one option for the main. One time it was eggs with dry toast, another time it was beef broth and the sides are always an arepa, dry toast and sometimes fried plantains. There should also be coffee options like latte and cappuccino. One day the bread selection was leftover cut up dinner rolls. For the level and type of hotel it should be much better. And they should offer options for vegetarians and some non-dairy, which they don’t. The restaurant was often out of things. This hotel is an hour and a half from a large city. Just no excuse. The jacuzzi does not heat, it’s basically a tiny pool with water jets. Disappointing. The hot water in the rooms is useless because you basically have a choice between near scalding and cold, nothing in between. Seems they don’t have mixers. We had to keep turning the hot water on and off like a dozen times to take a shower and stay under the water til it got too hot and then run the cold water and then do it again. The service in the restaurant is painfully slow. In this type of hotel it’s ok to be slow. Nobody here should be in a hurry. But this is another level. The set up is flawed, with the kitchen and bar too far from the dining area. And they suffer from a total lack of training, process. So disorganized. Another issue with the bathroom is the lack of lighting and the lack of a mirror over the sink.
- Asl (7/5): Bel hôtel au calme mais un rapport qualité/prix limite - Une jolie vue sur la mer très appréciable et à l’écart du centre donc vraiment au calme. La piscine est très agréable toujours avec cette jolie vue. La chambre était assez grande. Les perroquets sont trop mignons. Le personnel est un peu trop envahissant pour un hôtel qui se dit familiale et au calme, mais chacun ses gouts. Le petit déjeuner est correct mais simple pour le prix de la chambre.

- Robert (10/5): Perfect place to relax and unwind - The property was beautiful and relaxing. The pool is perfect for the times we didn't swim in the sea. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food and drinks provided were delicious and reasonably priced. Good pressure and hot water if needed in the shower! Would definitely stay again! Wifi was great everywhere but our room (not a big deal)
- Dieter (9/5): Ein sehr ruhiger und schöner Aufenthalt mit kleinen Schwächen, perfekt zum entschleunigen. - Das Resort liegt sehr schön am Strand, der Pool ist wunderbar. Hervorzuheben ist das Personal, man ist immer sehr bemüht und unglaublich freundlich. Gratulation an Carolina, die gute Fee des Resorts! Der Garten ist sehr schön gepflegt, die beiden da lebenden Papageien passen perfekt in den Rahmen. Das Restaurant bietet sehr gute Küche (zählt wahrscheinlich zu den besten in ganz Palomino) zu vernünftigen Preisen. Sehr angenehm ist auch, dass es keine Musik (in anderen Resorts wird Musik in teilweise wahnwitziger Lautstärke gespielt) gibt. Es gibt keinerlei Lärm, man hört nur die Natur und das Rauschen der Wellen. Für den gebotenen Komfort, was besonders die Zimmer betrifft, ist das Resort etwas überteuert. Da würde es entweder eine bessere Ausstattung oder niedrigere Preise brauchen. Klimaanlage und Kühlschrank sind aber voll OK. Beim Thema Reparaturen hinkt man auch etwas hinterher, man ist aber bemüht. Der Ort Palomino kann leider nur sehr wenig, hauptsächlich sind hier Hippies, Backpacker und Aussteiger zu Gast, es gibt keine gehobene Gastronomie und Infrastruktur. Der Ort ist vom Resort nicht so leicht zu erreichen, eine halbe Stunde zu Fuß, teilweise über den Strand, oder per Tuktuk (Taxis sind kaum verfügbar) über großteils unbefestigte Straßen.
- arno (10/5): - We were visiting with our 5 years old child. The hotel was more than welcoming for us and our child. Easy access by tuk tuk from center palomino. The place is a little secluded from palomino , but it's only 15min walk from palomino beach. 20min walk to the other side you come to a beautiful river at the beach. The swimming pool is also very nicely designed with hot tube and sauna , all with views to the sea. The most amazing feature is the food. Lots of choices , from pizza to pasta to fish to steak and all was amazing. Only for the food we would come back. A recommendation would be the steak with pepper sauce! We would definitely book again.

- Anja (10/5): - Coconuco Beach ist ein kleines Paradies.Wir haben eine Woche da verbracht und es sehr genossen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hat uns alle Wünsche erfüllt, herzlichen Dank an Carolina. Alles war sehr familiär. Das Frühstück ist auf Bestellung, vielfältig und reichhaltig, das Essen zum Mittag und Abend ist sehr lecker und besonders, ein Lob an die Köchin. Der Strand ist naturbelassen, man kann ihn in beide Richtungen erkunden. Leider konnten wir im Meer nicht richtig baden, da sehr hohe Wellen waren, aber der Pool mit sehr bequemen Liegen war auch sehr schön. Zum Ort läuft man ca 15 min am Strand entlang, oder ruft ein Tuk-Tuk. Wir waren rundum mehr als zufrieden.
