• Fionna (10/5): Exactly what we wanted for our overnight stay. - Located in a quaint old village with a nice riverside walk. Very easy to find and convenient for our homeward journey via Bilbao port. The owner and chef were lovely and provided us with a wonderful breakfast. Unfortunately as it was a Monday so we couldn’t experience an evening meal as that is the village rest day but that wasn’t a problem for us. The room was lovely & clean and the súper king bed was very comfortable . They have a very well equipped honesty bar which was nicely located by the little garden Our dog was made very welcome and there is a lovely walk through the village along the river Nothing - all was lovely

Muy buena cocina, productos de la región, bien elaborados y presentados. Los propietarios, Laura y José Ángel son personas sensibles, cálidas y muy simpáticas. Le hacen sentirse a uno muy cómodo. Por poner alguna pega (que prácticamente no las tiene) yo habría puesto la puerta del cuarto de baño opaca, y no transparente.

• Susan (10/5): Peaceful, detailed, and impeccable experience. - This was a perfect stay in a beautiful little town. Every detail in this historic building is well thought out. There is very nice outdoor area as well. The town is peaceful with a few shops and bars. There is a little trail right outside the town where you can hike up to a magnificent vista over the village and surrounding fields. The gourmet breakfast is incredible. Laura’s husband is a master baker of pastries. Many cute little towns nearby. Laura recommended a restaurant called Taberna Asador Ochavo, in Sajazarra, a little village 5 minutes away that was excellent. I highly recommend this stay.

We were driving to the ferry in Bilbao and despite being less than 15 minutes from the motorway this town felt as if it was in the middle of rural Spain. Beautiful old buildings in glorious honey coloured stone. Our visit was unusually special as it coincided with a five day village festival. The owner Laura was fantastic at accommodating our requests re parking and enjoying the festival, including opening up a room to allow us 'bird's eye' views'of the festivities. The breakfast buffet was extensive and excellent. Nothing - it was all very special.

So delightful - Structure/Common areas/rooms: Stunning remodeled, centuries old building that had everything we needed. Loved the juxtaposition of old, new with the best of both integrated into the rooms and common areas. The wine cellar was so cool (like “cool man”). As a serial remodeler, I felt humbled by what the owners/managers were able to accomplish! The common areas both inside and out encouraged you to linger, lovely, fresh and beautifully decorated. Our room was large, king size bed with a twin which a Nice touch. Bathroom was large, everything worked wonderfully. Highly recommended. Nothing.

The owners have put a lot of thought and work into restoring a historical place while making it theirs and keeping it's origins. If you like the charm of history, cinema/ theater culture and a warm family environment then this is the place for you. Me and my wife had a really good time. As a last note, breakfast was exquisite! Nothing really! Lack of time :-)

From the staff to the property right in the middle of town, such a quaint and beautiful hotel, and great recommendations from staff on local spots to eat, tour, and drink! Can’t recommend it enough! Best way to do Rioja. The check in/check out process was a little unclear, but the staff couldn’t have been nicer!

Ficamos no quarto 115 – Besos de Cine, que era maravilhoso: espaçoso, decorado com muito bom gosto, com uma varanda charmosa e uma banheira perfeita para relaxar. Um verdadeiro refúgio romântico! Além da beleza do hotel, o que realmente nos conquistou foi o acolhimento dos proprietários. A Laura é uma anfitriã incrível, extremamente atenciosa e dedicada. Ela fez de tudo para que nossa estadia fosse perfeita, com um cuidado genuíno que fez toda a diferença. Sem dúvida, é um lugar que recomendamos de olhos fechados. Se você está procurando uma experiência autêntica, acolhedora e cheia de estilo em La Rioja, o Teatrisso é a escolha certa! Tudo estava maravilhoso!

• DR 33 (10/5): Un endroit rare - Un hotel particulier dans sa déco et son histoire. Une rénovation de qualité avec des propriétaires chaleureux. La chambre est moderne et vaste , le petit déjeuner est tres recherché. En prime parking couvert gratuit pour les motos. Restaurant fermé le lundi soir et peu d'autres possibilités sur place.
• Rita (9/5): Sehr schönes Haus, leider gab es nichts zu essen - Das Hotel befindet sich in einem alten Gebäude, dass sehr schön renoviert wurde. Die Einrichtung hat Charme, ein Mix aus Altem und Neuem. Ganz toll gemacht. Der kleine historisch Ortskern läd zu einem Spaziergang durch die alten Gassen ein, gibt sonst aber nicht viel her. Leider hatten am Abend alle Restaurants geschlossen, einschl. des hauseigenen. Hätten wir nicht erst bei der Ankunft im Hotel davon erfahren, hätten wir uns auf der Anreise bereits irgendein Lokal gesucht. So waren wir ziemlich müde und der Abend gestaltete sich durch die Suche nach einem Abendessen nicht so entspannt, wie von uns erhofft. Die Wirtin zeigte wenig Verständnis für unseren Unmut.
