• Kerry (10/5): Countryside Haven - The views of Charleston countryside are breathtaking. It is a quiet rural location, but only 5 minutes away from the nearest township. The hosts provided excellent amenities throughout and the bed was very comfortable. The heating and fireplace created a cosy environment. If visiting the Adelaide Hills, we would stay here again without hesitation. N/A

Very friendly host, Max, who shared the history of the property and was available for anything that we needed. Loved seeing the rabbits, cows and chickens and the beautiful country scenery of the property.

They made us feel very welcome. - Mount Charles Homestead is set in a beautiful quiet location overlooking grazing paddock’s with stunning views up to Mount Charles. Our accommodation was really comfortable with everything we needed for a two night stay. Our rooms were located in a semi detached part of the homestead. It’s an easy 10 minute walk into town. We had dinner at the Charleston Hotel one night. Great meal but I would recommend booking a table. Thanks Max and Bridget for a lovely stay. Stephen and Domenica N/A

• Julie (9/5): An excellent place for a couple. - The location was superb, very quiet, wildlife around us, our privacy was respected, the accommodation had everything we needed. The location to Charleston was just outside of the township and then we had close access to other sites. the bathroom was very large and for a property running on rainwater the shower was superb Nothing really for the cost of what we were provided with.

• Graeme (8/5): Warm misty stay - The wood fire was burning when we arrive, the view over the paddocks was great, nice and quite, large bed and shower. The breakfast provisions were huge The only thing I could say was that I was sort of expecting a little electric frypan so we could do a little cooking, as cold and wet outside to use the bbq. But made do with the microwave and toasted sandwich press
• Janice (9/5): Great, very comfortable accommodation and excellent hosts - Very welcoming hosts, very comfortable and clean. Everything you need for a short stay. Combustion fire was lit to warm the place for our arrival, electric heaters for back up heating, lovely outlook over the farm. The provided continental breakfast was adequate.

Breakfast included (continental) plus extras. Great location close to several Adelaide hills towns. A good pub down the road.. Bridget and Max were very friendly hosts and couldn't do enough for us. We would definitely come back again and tell our friends and family about it. Nothing that we didn't like. The hosts thought of everything.
• Di (8/5): Very good - Was nice and comfortable, clean, excellent service I can see a bit of problem with the wood heater, it was cold when you got back from a big days work . You had to start up heater, but lucky it wasn't to big space so it warmed up pretty fast

• Jacqui (10/5): Quaint and relaxing stay - This is a beautiful property away from the hustle and bustle which is exactly what we were after. The room is attached to the house but with its on entrance way. Comfy bed. Very big bathroom. Coffee machine. The hosts are very friendly and willing to help with information. However if you’re wanting some space they are very respectful of allowing this too. Local pub was also 5 star. Good food selection. Cute vibe with a community meat raffle going on when we were there. About 10-15min easy walk. We hired e-bikes from a nearby town and cycled around the wineries. A really pretty area to explore. Nothing. It was everything we hoped and wished we could have stayed longer. You will need a car to get to the property. Public transport doesn’t run out that way often.
