- Ella (9/5): Superb - Extremely well kept, clean and very comfortable. Super close to the pub down the street. Ample breakfast supplies and facilities that I wish I’d had time to use! It appeared there was a beautiful garden behind the house which I also wish I’d had time to explore. Would definitely stay again, absolutely delightful.
- James (9/5): Excellent place to spend a night or two away. - Great little place with plenty of space for a short stay. Nice location. The air freshner was over powering but could be switched off.
- Rae (10/5): A wonderful weekend experience - We absolutely loved our two-night stay at the Old Devonshire House. Mintaro as a town has captured our hearts and staying in such a historic building made the experience all the more special. A short stroll to the local Stump & Magpie Hotel and Reilly's Cellar Door meant we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Our hosts were very accommodating and the fact they offer a pet friendly option, meant our dog Roxy was able to join us which made our weekend away all the more special. Nothing !
- Kathy (10/5): Just lovely - This is a fabulous place to relax in winter with a wood fire. The thoughtful touches like the fire organised to light, chocolates and port and a bottle of good quality Clare Valley wine was lovely. The bathroom was amazing with a spa bath in the floor! Highly recommend this lovely place to unwind in a beautiful part of the Clare Valley
- Gemma (10/5): Beautiful, charming & comfortable - Beautiful accomodation, perfect for a relaxing kid-free weekend get away! Such charm and really enjoyed all the little tidbits of history scattered around the cottage. The bed was comfy and the spa looked so inviting- unfortunately we were out at the nearby wineries all day Sat so didn’t get the chance to use it! Would have loved another night. The fire was very effective and very generous with both the ample firewood provided and breakfast provisions. Thank you Margaret, we would love to return one day. Nothing!
- Angelo (7/5): Very quirky, an old heritage site. Nice stay. - Good location, well provisioned.
- Peter (9/5): Very enjoyable, would stay again - Great location, short stroll to hotel. Plenty of provisions for cooked and continental breakfast. Very minor, but maybe in lounge an Ottoman to put feet up after a day of exploring
- Simon (10/5): Great short stay in a wonderful old B&B that is well maintained and appointed. - Wonderful B&B in the middle of beautiful Mintaro. Have visited the town many times but hadn't stayed here before - have fallen in love with it as the rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Margaret and Villis were lovely and generous with their time. We plan to look to book here first for future visits if we can. Nothing - everything was wonderful.
- Jill (9/5): Beautiful 1856 Period Cottage. - The friendly and helpful host. Thanks Margaret! The generous provisions of food. The comfort and look of the furniture and decor. The beautiful gardens.
The peacefulness. Walking distance to wineries and Magpie and Stump hotel. The house number is wrong on Booking.com. Directions to the house could have been clearer.
The keys and locks were a little awkward.
- Sergio (10/5): Well done booking.com … waiting for your explanation - I can’t say
Booking.com triple booked the site
Well done booking.com Property looked magnificent
But triple booking would have been a big tight ..
