• Bruno (10/5): - Es war wirklich aussergewöhnlich. Da die 1a eingerichtete Küche von allen Gästen und dem Hausherr genutzt wird, trifft man sich immer wieder am großen Tisch und kommt ins Gespräch. Sehr schön ist auch die Dachterrasse, die einen wunderbaren Rundumblick ermöglicht und auf der man den Tag nach einem Urlaubstag gemütlich ausklingen lassen kann.

Hes beyond accommodating, genuine, germanily authentic, will sit down with you for a wine and hear your life story, and offer you his homemade soup after a long journey to get there. The rooms are spotless and the beds are so comfortable. The rooftop terrace is a zen moment. I’d absolutely would love to come back here in a heartbeat. All good!

Het ontbreekt aan niets.Georg is een goede kok, specialist in de Azatische keuken! De transfer naar je auto ( parkeerplaats) met de tuk -tuk is prima verzorgd en leuk!! Georg es muy simpático y acogedor, comparte todo y te hace sentir realmente como en casa. La terraza tiene vistas panorámicas de 360 grados a Altea, mar y montaña.No puede estar mejor situado. Es un alojamiento recomendable al 100%. Por decir algo me habría gustado que hubiera una mosquitera para poder abrir la ventana por la noche
• WEN (10/5): 太精彩了 - 首先必须要说房东马贵文先生，他充满童趣，有充足的中国游历经验，在中国待了十多年。所以他会说一些中文，他的厨房有充足的调料可以自己做中餐，他甚至有一个中式炒锅🤣🤣🤣（虽然我们没用厨房） 整个民宿景观很好，被子很舒服，顶楼有360度全景，可以看海看山看建筑，位置也在靠近海边的Altea local生活区（不在游客区里，所以更加chill） 房间非常漂亮，墙上挂满艺术品，有些是他自己收藏的，有的是他画的，马贵文本人艺术天赋极高哈哈哈，但他说不想做艺术家。 当你到达的时候，他会开着产自意大利的“三蹦子”来接你，复古、时尚、可爱，真的想不到会有这么好玩的经历。 如果可能的话我希望再回来这里，多待些日子，多感受一下Altea，也多和马贵文聊聊天🥳 中国的朋友们请放心选择这家民宿，你会觉得非常亲切！！ 没有

We have been told to wait until 8 PM to be able to check in or get a refund for our reservation as we came from Miami so long travel we decided to get the option of the refund as we wanted to set somewhere to be able to shower and rest. The owner agreed to refund us but never refund us as agreed. we have ourselves to properties in Florida listed on booking.com and we for sure treat our customers very differently.

• Schmechel (10/5): - Wer (wie ich) sich schon immer mal gewünscht hat in einem der urigen spanischen Altstadthäuschen zu wohnen (wo man gerne mal beim Spaziergang einen Blick hinein geworfen hätte😉) es ursprünglich, liebevoll eingerichtet, mit oder ohne Anschluss und dennoch familiär mag, Meer, Altstadt, Einkauf fussläufig erreichen möchte, einen magischen Ort (wie Altea es ist) mit grandioser Aussicht auf Meer, Altstadt und Berge von einer Dachterrasse aus sucht, selbst sein Essen zubereiten kann und alles nötige dazu vorhanden ist, on Top mit stets gutgelaunten, hilfsbereiten Menschen Kontakt haben möchte, der hat hier bei Georg im Guest House Bellaguarda in mitten den romantischen Gassen die perfekte idyllische Unterkunft gewählt, deshalb gibt es von mir 10 von 10 Punkten, mein Wunsch ist damit mehr wie erfüllt worden, ich komme gerne wieder. • Hubert (10/5): Ein absoluter Geheimtipp! Wir kommen definitiv wieder! - Wir haben uns in diesem traumhaften Gästehaus unglaublich wohlgefühlt. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bot einen direkten Blick auf die Kathedrale – einfach herrlich! Das absolute Highlight ist die Dachterrasse: Von dort genießt man einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Meer, die Berge und die Kathedrale von Altea. Die Lage ist perfekt – ruhig und doch zentral. In wenigen Minuten erreicht man den historischen Ortskern oder das Meer. Ein großer Mercadona und ein 24h-Shop sind ebenfalls fußläufig schnell erreichbar. Dazu gibt es schnelles WLAN und eine gut ausgestattete Küche die man mitbenützen kann. Georg, der Gastgeber, rundet mit seiner sympathischen Art den Aufenthalt ab. Wir hatten einige tolle Gespräche und haben uns rundum willkommen gefühlt. Alles war absolut perfekt!

Nos recibió con los brazos cruzados y muy enfadado porque nos demoramos y quería salir. Terrible recibimiento. Es una casa del anfitrión donde vive y alquila habitaciones con un minibaño. Hacía un calor terrible, sin aire acondicionado, sólo un ventilador que movía aire caliente. Da el sol constantemente y las ventanas deben estar cerradas para no recalentar la habitación. El salón, cocina y terraza es todo compartido., con las cosas personales del dueño en las sillas donde desayunas y puede mejorar en limpieza Cuando nos despedimos, nos indicó que sino le valorábamos con un 10 , que no le pusiéramos nada para q no le bajase la puntuación.

He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and even helped us find parking, which we really appreciated. We’re super grateful for his kindness and hospitality. It was a pleasure to meet him, have great conversations, and stay at his beautiful home. The house itself is a masterpiece, and the terrace is absolutely stunning — what a view! If you’re looking for an aesthetic, European vibe, this is the place to stay. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Special shoutout to the pillows — soft, oversized, and incredibly comfy. Slept like on a cloud! I wholeheartedly recommend staying here and only wish we had more days to enjoy it. -

• Rosa (9/5): Genial! - Georg una persona encantadora, nos hizo sentirnos súper a gusto en la estancia, súper atento, nos ayudó con su tuk tuk a subir el equipaje desde el coche… El sitio es ideal cerca de la playa y del centro para no tener que coger el coche en los días que estuvimos ahí. Y unas vistas espectaculares desde su terraza, donde poder estar viendo las estrellas en la noche. Repetiremos seguro.

La panorámica de Altea, de la terraza/azotea increíble.
• Maria (10/5): Guest House Bellaguarda is a beautiful place to stay. Highly recommend. - We have just returned home after five lovely days in Altea. Staying at Guest House Bellaguarda has been fantastic. George is an incredibly pleasant and service-minded host who goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. We had the pleasure of being picked up in his small tuk-tuk when we arrived at the train station in Altea, and driven at night to the bus stop on our way to the airport. We highly recommend a room in George's house if you want a beautiful location central in the old part of the city, quiet surroundings, a cozy atmosphere and fantastic evenings on the roof terrace. We are already planning our next trip to Altea this winter, to visit family, and will definitely try to get a room at George's again (Guest House Bellaguarda). Maria & Dag-Runar
• Magdalena (10/5): Homely stay in the heart of art village - Absolutely wonderful location, walking distance to beach, old Town, shops and cafés. We could visit the house many times during the day while walking around to refresh, as the location is very central. Host is very welcoming and helpful. The house has amazing roof terrace with sea view, well equipped kitchen with all the amenities and lovely artsy homely vibe. The room was comfortable and spacious. It was very quite despite being in the town. We had a good mix of hotel privacy and hospitality for house guests :) there is a parking very close by on the street or public carpark, free of charge. It is worth noting that this is old house in an old town, so it might be hot inside even with windows open an fan on. It was fine for us though.

The decor, air conditioning, confortable bed, gorgeous 360 terrace with view on the city / the Mediterranean. Georg the host is super nice and attentive. The house is perfectly located, short walking distance to the beach / city center.

The location was excellent everything is very accessible just be aware that it involves many steps and is very hilly, but the trade off is some amazing views. We would definitely return.

I needn’t have worried as it was absolutely beautiful! The Villa Bellaguarda was freshly decorated and everything was super comfortable and perfect. As lovely as the house was Georg such a fantastic host, from answering all my questions prior to arriving, Georg was very friendly and responsive and gave me all of the necessary information, and made sure that my stay was comfortable and memorable. He also prepared some incredible dishes that I’ll never forget…. The guest house is charming and peaceful with beautiful rooms and a great kitchen. Great location with many walk into Altea in the old town which hosts lots of delicious restaurants and lovely bars and not far from the beach (10 min. walk). nothing ! maybe more Sun !!

• Per (10/5): Feel so lucky as I just booked the place nearest my mothers training centre for elderly - Nothing, everything was perfect for my purpose of being in Altea This place is perfect for those who want to stay in a quiet and charming area. The rooms were lovely, with comfortable beds, private bathrooms, and toilets. There were two living rooms, one with a cozy fireplace. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to cook, no matter what you wish to make. The wonderful terrace with a sea view is a gem, and in the evening, you can enjoy a postcard-like view with the illuminated church. There are also sunbeds, seating areas for dining and relaxing, as well as a fireplace and grill facilities. This place is perfect for those who want to stay in a quiet and charming area. I hesitated to write this review because I wanted to keep this place a secret for myself. However, more people should experience this gem. I give this place 10/10 points and add a 10+! Then you have the host Georg that is so helpful and makes you feel so welcome 11/10

• Malgorzata (10/5): Amazing place to stay in Altea - Beautiful place... one of the few in Altea that tries to preserve the atmosphere of the times in which it was built. A house in a beautiful rustic style, which I love. Very close to the very center of the old town and the most famous places in Altea, but at the same time in some miraculous way protected from all the tourist hustle and bustle. Very close to the beach, where every morning you can admire beautiful sunrises. For those who do not necessarily feel like running to the beach in the morning, just go to the terrace, which is located on the roof of the building. From there, there is a breathtaking 360 view, where among the beautiful vegetation you can have breakfast or another meal during the day. It is also impossible not to mention the host of this place. Georg is a wonderful host. He is very caring, hospitable and always ready to help and provide necessary information, but at the same time ensuring the privacy of his guests. Since it is impossible to get to the house by car, so I am very grateful to the host for coming to pick me up in a special vehicle 😆and bringing me to the very door of Guest House Bellaguarda. • N (10/5): Private room (with bathroom) in a lovely house, with a rooftop terrace with the best 360 view of Altea - It has a rooftop terrace, with one of the best views in town (360 view)! It is located on a hill overlooking the old town, with the church. The streets are very quiet and cozy, but just 5 mins away from the center and all the action. In other words, everything is close. The host is very nice and helpful. The house is very well equipped with everything I could think I need. The house is a well-maintained 16th century house, with an old-school rustic look inside. There are 2 other rooms and the owners room in the house as well. My room didnt have an AC, which is worth mentioning for hot summer months. However, this didnt affect my stay, as I did not spend time in my room during the day.

• Tiggy (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic property and excellent host. If you are looking for a unique place to stay that is quiet and away from tourists this is it. The terrace is high up above the neighbouring roofs so the views are magnificent. But it is only an easy 5 minute walk down beautiful streets to get to the main shops, bars and restaurants of beautiful Altea. Our room was large and airy with a high ceiling. Although the building is very old, the powerful shower is first class! And everywhere in the guesthouse is spotless. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Georg 😊

• Cathel (10/5): Lovely guest house with character in a great location - Guest House Bellaguarda is in an ideal location within Altea close to bars, restaurants, supermarkets, car parking etc. Georg is a wonderful hospitable host who takes great pride in looking after his guests. The property itself has been renovated and is a very welcoming home adjacent to a small tranquil plaza near the centre of Altea. Georg was good enough to let me utilise his lovely kitchen facilities and on a couple of evenings I joined him for an evening meal which I thoroughly enjoyed. Nothing to mention here.

• Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Beautiful house in a fabulous area close to everything. Georg was a wonderful host. He warned us that there was a local festival in the area and there would be loud music in the square outside. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. A great band with locals gathered. The next afternoon, in the same square, local people gathered, made paella and sat around eating and chatting. We could view it all from the fabulous rooftop terrace of the guesthouse. If you visit Altea and you absolutely should as it has everything going for it, you should stay in this guesthouse...festival or no festival. Nothing to dislike.

• Dagmar (10/5): Exceptional - The guest can use/ share the kitchen at any time, which is great. One can do there own breakfast, lunch or Dinner and there is no shopping needed for salt, herbs etc. Coffee and water was for free, very generous. Parking is not possible, but George, the owner collected my baggage and myself with his tuk tuk😂 great service! The roof terrace is more than a bonus! 360degree mountain and sea view with cosy furniture. I can only recommend a stay in Bellaguarda Guesthouse!
• Linda (4/5): Beach was lovely but accommodation disappointing because of the climb as not accessible by road - I I felt I was in somebody else's home, too quiet and felt I was intruding. There was no kettle in the room, no radio, no TV so it was extremely quiet and I felt a bit creepy. On the first day Georg insisted I use his bacon and sausage, although I refused initially I felt awkward so used this. On our last day out, we arrived back after 6.30pm to find Georg cooking large pieces of meat on a barbacue. He insisted we join him and I thought he was very kind but, in spite of the fact we had bought pizza for tea, we didn't want to upset him so accepted his offer. On the last day as I was tidying up and went into his kitchen he asked me for 50 euros which I did not understand I told him had paid he told me it was for the bacon and sausage and also for the barbacue and a bottle of wine he had shared on our final night. I was quite shocked at this suggestion but nonetheless paid this. He also insisted he give us a lift up to the cathedral which we accepted, and charged us 10 euros for this!!
• Glenn (7/5): Good - The owner had made a stew for his dinner and asked me if I wanted some. I thought he was being nice but after I finished the bowl he told me it was 10 euro for bowl. If he had told me beforehand, that would have given me the opportunity to say yes or no but he did not so that soured my impression.

• Kirill (10/5): Exceptional - A wonderful, friendly host will be waiting for you in the house. You will find yourself in a truly warm and homely environment with maximum comfort. The views from the terrace of the house are simply fascinating! The Church of Altea and the local train are a two-minute walk away. Nothing. Everything is great!
• Giselle (10/5): A little gem in the heart of Altea. - Amazing position in the old streets of Altea. The bed was the most comfortable bed we've been in for our entire trip so far! We slept very well indeed! Georg was so hospitable and friendly, we loved the Piaggio Ape! It came in very useful to get our bags from and back to our car! The views from the roof terrace are really special - I think we are going to have to come back and stay longer! All great, nothing we didn't like!

• Elina (10/5): Lovely stay in a paradise - Our stay was absolutely perfect! Guest House with its' surroundings is a paradise. Temperature in the house was comfortable even in December. Hot water was running from taps without problems. The room has a nice small kitchen and there is a fully equipped kitchen for common use. The kitchen has everything you may need for example spices, oil, vinegar, bottle water etc. There is a very beautiful roof terrace for common use. Georg was an amazing host. He helped with everything and shared helpful and unique tips. He really wants his guests to enjoy their stay. We couldn't have been more satisfied. Thank you!

The kitchen was well stocked and very modern. The highlight was the rooftop terrace with breathtaking 360 view of the sea, cathedral and mountains. I really recommend this ideal spot

The location is perfect, the host is super duper nice, makes you feel at home, the view from the rooftop is unbelievable (i watched the sunset from up there every night while reading my book). I cooked myself some nice food, I could use some of his spices, oils, etc which was super handy and kind😊 Would 1000% go back there! Nothing, everything was perfect for me!
• Carbunaru (10/5): Wonderful Guesthouse - We recommend Guest House Bellaguarda. The Guest House is absolutely wonderful. The furniture and paintings have a very aristocrat flavour which makes one very curious about each piece of art in the house. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need and the rooms are comfortable. Georg is a very lovely and friendly host. He will definitely make your stay there more pleasant 😁

• Kseniia (10/5): Exceptional - This is the most amazing place we have ever stayed. You will feel right at home, as the wonderful host Georg will do everything for this! This is not a house, but a work of art. You will be taken care of and enjoy your holiday in this beautiful place. You will always have access to the kitchen, refrigerator. There are also plenty of utensils, oil, condiments, coffee, tea that you can use. A separate miracle is the terrace, where you can meet beautiful sunrises and sunsets. You can also have access to a washing machine, for a fee. We will definitely come back here again! Georg is the most hospitable host I have ever met!

The only downside of the room was the roof fan; It was not as powerful as we would like, however it did its job.

We really appreciated all the extras such as the "welcome bottle" to drink a toast on the spectacular terrace overlooking the Mediterranean.It was great to have kitchen access for the freshly brewed coffee on the terrace.Heavenly! Nothing to dislike.The location is super and close to small wine bar and restaurants.
