• G (10/5): - We hired the property for family members holidaying from overseas, they couldn't stop taking about the house and location, house was awesome perfect location outstandingly set up spotless clean and very comfortable, they were extremely happy and extend there gratitude to the owners. Definitely will try to get the same property for other family member visiting soon. Short stay 😃

• Craig (7/5): Nice spot and a fun time. - Right on the water. Delayed check out was helpful, thanks for that. Beds were uncomfortably hard and everyone said the same across all rooms I'm afraid. All properties really should have a smart tv too. I had to chase to get the access codes after check in time on the day of arrival.
• Jessica (9/5): - Great to be on the waterfront. House very clean upon arrival. The bed in main bedroom wasn't comfortable. Aircon kept shutting itself off.

We would have liked to have wine glasses, cleaning sponge, tea towel and more toilet paper.

Stunning views and sense of calm just being so close to the water. The hosts were so quick to respond to requests. They are absolutely the best hosts and so accommodating. I could've stayed a whole week there. I didn't like that I only booked 2 days 😕. I wish we stayed longer.
• Gordon (9/5): Perfect property for catching up with our extended family - House was perfect for a family reunion. Beautiful location right on the lake. Close to shops. House very comfortable with plenty of space for our extended family for meals and catching up. A few little maintenance items need attention. Only 1 in 4 lights working in kitchen. Higher wattage bulb needed in toilet. Had trouble contacting owner for entry code. Once I made contact, no problem getting to the property or getting in.

• Cheryl (9/5): Lakefront catch-up - Beautiful setting, this is the second time we have stayed here. Just lovely for dual or multigenerational family. The Rosy Leaf Cafe down the road makes best coffee in the Gong! There was one window in the master bedroom James or Locked slightly Open and we had a howling rainstorm come through first night. Hopefully that gets fixed swiftly.

• Sarah (9/5): Beautiful property and even more beautiful view! - The property was beautiful and serene, waking up to the lake view every morning was like a dream! The kitchen, dining, and living spaces were great for feeling connected with the people you’re staying with while still having your own space to relax at night. The two rooms with the single beds didn’t have any fans or air conditioning, which would’ve been nice to know. Even a pedestal fan would’ve been good, especially in the humid warm weather.
• Elaine (10/5): Lovely, serene stay in a quiet setting. - As every reviewer has stated, the view is stunning. Very serene and peaceful. I enjoyed swaying in the hammock, especially in the late afternoon/evenings when that spot was shaded. Loved the big accordion doors across the back which we opened up whenever possible. We were only 3 ladies and it was lovely to each have our own private spaces. We thoroughly enjoyed having communal spaces to spend time together too. We did not have a car as originally planned and managed fine with public transportation as the buses pass by the house every 20 minutes. This made it easy enough to travel up to Port Kembla, Wollongong, and down to Kiama. We also stopped in Warrawong for meals/groceries. We borrowed a kayak and found it easy to launch from the backyard. It is very shallow so I did have to wade out in the water to launch. Most of the lake is shallow - some shallow enough that the kayak would be scraping the bottom. It was generally calm and I did not notice any difference in water levels during high/low tides. I did not venture near the bridge as I am inexperienced with tides and did not want to get too close to the sea. I was delighted to come across a section near the pier across the lake from the house where I had a mass of large white translucent jellyfish swimming around me. Lots of birds on the lake. I went for a paddle at dawn and it was fun to see the birds still asleep. I even came across a jellyfish I am sure was sleeping. The AC worked fine in the living area. With all windows closed, it cooled down both living areas. One bedroom has an effective ceiling fan. However the two back bedrooms rely on one large window each and they would get stuffy. We were there during heat warnings in March and those bedrooms got really hot at night even with the windows wide open. It would have been helpful to be equipped with at least a table fan to circulate the air. I almost slept in the living room one night. My one regret is not bringing my little portable fan but I did not consider that March nights could be so hot. The place is somewhat dated, as expected from the photos. And of course, has no dishwasher. Knives are dull, but again - we did not really expect any better. The cottage met all our expectations based on photos and reviews so we enjoyed our stay.

No dishwasher. Not sure what happened with the cleaning team, but there was used(?) bed linen hanging on the bedroom door when I arrived.

• Hooper (8/5): A great family stay with excellent location, clean and tidy and overall a great place to stay. - The house itself had a great feel about it. Two adults and five kids fit in quite well. Location was great and the lake right there was a bonus. Someone previously mentioned water pressure was an issue, but we didn’t have an issue at all Kids were a bit disappointed that they couldn’t swim in the lake ( was too shallow and weedy), but didn’t stop them from throwing a line in! The lay out of the house was great. Parents room is close enough to keep an eye on them, but far enough away to have some privacy. Location was great - close enough to everything that we needed. Although the house was quite close to the one behind us, because everything was facing g the lake, we didn’t really notice and felt like we had our own space and freedom. Kids liked the wifi and it kept them quiet at night time. No complaints about speed or quality at all. The bed in the main room wasn’t that comfortable (was really really firm) and squeaked a bit each time we rolled over. Definitely not a deal breaker though! We had a formal event and needed to iron all of our clothes. Whilst the iron was great, the ironing board was one of those little tiny ones that sit on the bench and the padding was quite worn.

• Alexandr (10/5): Perfect waterfront stay - Prime waterfront location, perfect for fishing and taking your kayak or paddleboard out on the lake. Quiet area; didn't see the owners and barely noticed the neighbours as well. The cabin is modern and very comfortable. Caught a couple of flatties for dinner right from the backyard. Would definitely come back. Can't think of anything. Maybe if you're expecting to have a swim, this isn't for you as water here is a bit murky and weedy (and quite shallow). Good for fishing though.
