Our kids were delighted to see a fridge full of all our normal groceries, and that the Easter Bunny was still able to find us (special thanks to Donna for sorting this out!). Spectacular views, easy walk to the tram and into Surfers. As a family with young kids, it was nice to feel so safe and secure, away from the revellers in town, but still within easy reach of everything. The staff were so friendly and helpful, very warm and welcoming. We will definitely choose to stay at Narrowneck Court the next time we visit the Gold Coast.

• Simon (1/5): Tolle Wohnung, jedoch stark beeinträchtigt durch massiven Baulärm und schlechtes On-Site Management. - Wunderschöne Wohnung mit traumhafter Lage und perfekter Ausstattung Die Lage, die Aussicht und die Ausstattung waren einfach großartig. Die Küche war hervorragend eingerichtet – mit hochwertigen Messern, guten Pfannen und allen wichtigen Grundzutaten wie Öl, Essig und Salz. Alles war sehr sauber, schön möbliert und liebevoll ausgestattet – inklusive Waschmaschine, Spielen und sogar einem Fernglas, was an dieser Lage ein echtes Highlight war. Es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt, man merkt, dass hier mit viel Sorgfalt und Geschmack eingerichtet wurde. Auch der Parkplatz war ein grosser Pluspunkt, besonders während des Supercar Race direkt vor der Tür. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können die Wohnung wärmstens empfehlen – sie bietet alles, was man für einen perfekten Aufenthalt braucht. Enttäuschende Erfahrung trotz anfänglich freundlichem Empfang Nach einer langen Reise von den USA nach Australien kamen wir einen Tag später als geplant an. Wir haben die Buchung bewusst nicht geändert, um früher einchecken zu können. Beim Check-in wurden wir informiert, dass Dacharbeiten stattfinden und es daher zu Lärmemissionen kommen könne. Man versprach uns eine schönere Wohnung als Ausgleich und sagte, dass die lauten Arbeiten täglich um 16 Uhr enden würden. Das klang fair – also zeigten wir Verständnis, obwohl ich nach 24 Stunden Reisezeit eigentlich nur schlafen wollte. Leider war der Lärm durch Bohren und Schleifen so extrem, dass wir uns in der Wohnung kaum unterhalten konnten. Am Donnerstag endeten die Arbeiten nicht wie versprochen, sondern gingen am Freitag ab 8 Uhr morgens weiter. Wir konnten die Wohnung nicht nutzen; ich musste mit Noise-Cancelling-Kopfhörern arbeiten. Der Onsite-Manager bot mir kurzfristig eine Wohnung im 11. Stock an, doch dort wurde ich nach einer Stunde wieder hinausgebeten, weil neue Gäste früher ankamen. Weder Booking.com noch das Hausmanagement informierten uns im Voraus über diese Bauarbeiten. Es gab keinerlei Entschädigung, keine Entschuldigung, nicht einmal eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit als Geste des Bedauerns. Zwei volle Tage unseres Aufenthalts waren komplett ruiniert, und am Montagmorgen um 6 Uhr begann der Baulärm erneut. Erst ab 8 Uhr kehrte endlich Ruhe ein. Ich reise beruflich seit über 20 Jahren im Ferienhausgeschäft und bin in dieser Branche als Thought Leader tätig – aber eine solche Erfahrung hatte ich noch nie. Ich werde dieses Erlebnis in meinem Podcast am 3. November mit Glenn Fogel besprechen – es gibt hier definitiv eine Geschichte zu erzählen.

I called down for some extra towels and never heard back from anyone. No one was around when I checked out at 8am on a Monday morning, so just had to leave the keys on the desk.

• Lauren (10/5): Hidden Gem on the Coast! - We had a beautiful apartment and an incredible view! The apartment was well appointed with everything we needed and a generous size. Great location literally across the road from the beach and a quick walk to the tram system which we found easy to use to get about the Gold Coast. (We also brought our car but rarely used it which for us, as Brisbane locals, enhances that holiday feel.) The apartment had a full kitchen and there are some nice cafes, restaurants and Gold Coast-famous seafood buffets nearby. Our Gold Coast stay previous to this was at a well-known hotel 200m further inland, but now that we have compared the two, Narrowneck Court will be the property we return to.

Also the apartments are lovely and clean fully equipped and a great location ! We come to Mainbeach and surfers multiple times a year for work and leisure and we will be sure to stay again next time we visit .

Clean, spacious and great views of the river. Swimming pool is a big hit! Loved the decor in every room, it added to the holiday vibes. Close to paradise centre, quick uber to shops made it a lot easier with our family of 6. Great comfortable beds, king bed in main was a huge hit for two little girls who kept coming in the middle of the night. But plenty of room for all. We loved this property, there’s nothing to not like especially with absolutely amazing reception and other staff who made sure our stay was memorable.

• Julia (10/5): Enjoyed our holiday at Narrowneck Court. Beautiful location away from the razzmatazz of Sufers but close enough to walk - Close walk to the tram. Lovely walk along the beach to surfers main hub. Fantastic pool, which was never busy. Views were amazing.
