• alexander (10/5): Si necesitas un lugar tranquilo y hermoso, este es el lugar. - La atención al detalle, el cuidado en cada lugar y la amabilidad no se comparan con ningún otro lugar en el que he estado. Llegar al lugar requiere un buen auto, hay zonas que son destapadas que requieren autos altos. importante hacer caso a las recomendaciones de llegada. la vía más corta te permite llegar a Jardín en menos de 10 minutos.

It is well maintained, the beds and linen were very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent! It was a great place to stay while visiting Jardín.

Il faut être véhiculé. C'est ce que nous recherchions mais mieux vaut être prévenu.
• Lykke Gram (9/5): Smukt sted i Andesbjergene 15 min tuktuk fra skønne Jardín - Smuk beliggenhed midt i Andesbjergene. Dejligt roligt sted og hyggeligt med påfugle og hunde. Skøn morgenmad med udsigt. Vi var forberedt på at der var 15 min kørsel til byen med tuktuk. Vi havde håbet vi også kunne gå til byen, men det blev for hårdt for børnene. Vi sad lidt i kø til morgenmaden, da der var flere gæster ad gangen men ikke bordplads og stole til os alle. Der burde være kaffe ad libitum til morgenmaden inkluderet i prisen. På billederne lignede det at vi havde et fuldt udstyret køkken. Det var ikke gryder og pander. Det fik vi dog lov at låne fra værtsparrets køkken. Vi både der i 4 dage men havde ikke rengøring en gang. Det betød at vores skraldespand flød helt over allerede på dag 2.

We stayed in the cabana away from the main buildings and loved it. Would definitely come back. Vicente helped organise some horse riding for us and the kids, all the way to a coffee farm, where we did the tour and had lunch, both of which were one of the best things we did in all of Colombia over 3 months.

• Nicole (10/5): Our favorite part of visiting Colombia! - We loved everything about this stay - being on a banana farm away from the town center was truly unique, with breathtaking views and waking up every day to peacocks roaming the property and the owner's dogs greeting us. The owner went above and beyond to be hospitable to us, and the included breakfast each morning was delicious and made with so much love. We cannot say enough good about Vincente and his wife! The room itself was beautiful and modern. The location was amazing for views, but it does require a 15 minute tuktuk ride to get to and from Jardin town. If you stay here, be sure to get a tuktuk driver's phone number while you are in the town! That way they can come pick you up as needed. There aren't really tuktuks driving around near this farm looking to pick up passengers like there is down in the town center.

• Alice (10/5): - Patio Bonito is stunning. Vicente, the owner, was extremely accommodating and helpful. He arranged a pickup for us from an airport hotel by Medellin and personally drove us to our next destination in Salento. He arranged our transport to our various activities while in Jardin. Our Spanish was limited so we really appreciated Vicente’s English. We ate dinner three nights at Patio Bonito and each was wholesome and delicious. We will fondly remember Patio Bonito and the good people of Jardin.

• Cristiana (10/5): Giardino dell’eden - Semplicemente splendido: una vista incantevole, una camera bellissima, grande, luminosa e lussuosa, un patio mozzafiato per fare la colazione, amache per rilassarsi. E Don Vincente sempre pronto ad aiutare. Si trova sulla strada per la Cueva El Splendor (principale attrazione). Se potete (ossia se siete automuniti) venite qui! Siamo rimasti 2 notti, e la camera non è stata rifatta. Va detto che in bagno c’erano già i doppi asciugamani, però è la prima volta che ci accade in Colombia che non rifacciano il letto, un po’ strano anche considerata la cura di tutti gli altri dettagli.
• Rebecca (10/5): Gorgeous views and the most helpful host! - Vicente the host and his son were very helpful - had great recommendations for what to do in Jardin and arranged us a coffee tour and horse ride and took wonderful care of us. The property is lovely, gorgeous views. We stayed in the separate little cottage - a short walk from the main property. It was spacious and comfortable. Nothing!

• Sandra (10/5): Entorno natural en un hermoso lugar - Hermosa finca, muy cómoda, rodeada de naturaleza. El clima es delicioso. Hay bellos pavos reales, se puede hacer avistamiento de aves de diferentes especies. Excelente atención de los anfitriones, muy rico el desayuno. El perrito Duque fue muy cariñoso. Viajé con mis mascotas que también estuvieron muy bien en el lugar. Es un entorno es rural así que es comprensible que se debe llevar repelente para las picaduras de mosquitos.

• Mirjam (10/5): Paradise for families - This place was paradise. We went without our 1.5 year old daughter and just enjoyed all the facilities. There are a lot of toys for kids, which was great! The host was so kind and helped us out with so many things, organised a coffee farm tour, gave us tips on what hike to do, provided us dinner and arranged all the transport to Jardín.
• John (9/5): - Vincent was incredibly helpful which made our trip all the more enjoyable. The fact that he speaks english made everything super easy. He helped us order food from a local restaraunt so we could have dinner when we arrived. He also helped arrange a tour of a coffee farm nearby, its only 20 mins by foot. The location itself is absolutely stunning. To get to Jardin requires a trip in a tuktuk which takes about 20mins. But we were happy to stay in Patio Bonito most of the time anyway and the trip to the coffee farm didnt require a trip to Jardin anyway. Usage of the kitchen was a little confusing. Everything we needed was there except cutlery which was in a room labeled "Employees only". Of course when we asked Vincent it was no problem to get cutlery but it still made us feel like we weren't supposed to use the kitchen. We were also told that we were free to use the fridge. We stored some food for our baby in their which was great, but the following morning we found it had been removed and left on the counter. This was very frustrating as we had relied on that food to feed her but weren't comfortable using it as we weren't sure how long it was left out.

Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y la ducha tiene agua caliente. La atención es magnífica, Viny el propietario es muy querido y está pendiente de todas las necesidades. El desayuno delicioso. Muy recomendado Todo muy bien. Solo una recomendación de pronto de tener un calentador en la habitación, había suficientes cobijas pero esto podría ser un plus!!!

• Lianne (9/5): Wonderschoon - Als je de laan oprijdt door de palmbomen is het een waar paradijs. De locatie is gewoon een droom, zo mooi en tropisch en gezellig. En het uitzicht vanuit de patio is fantastisch. Het ontbijt was verrukkelijk de plek was erg schoon en verzorgd. De tweepersoonskamer had zelfs een warme niet elektronische douche waf ik niet vaak tegenkom hier! 😀 Het zou leuk zijn als je zelf fruit en avocado's mocht plukken van de bomen.

At first we were kind of sceptical because it´s quite some distance to Jardin (around 16 minutes), but Vicente our host could bring us whenever we wanted and it´s super easy and fun to get back by motortaxi. The room was very spatious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delicious! And the view is amazing 😍 We could also use the outdoor fitness equipment so I could do my training kms on the treadmill 🏃 Vicente even offered us private transport to Medellin which saved us a couple of hours on the bus.

• Hans (10/5): Raising the bar of 10/10 accommodations - Located in the middle of nature, it is the ideal place to live with the seasons of the day. Recommended if you look for accommodation with easy access to activities such as hiking, outdoor cooking, exploring Jardin, ….. Go with your own transportation to make the most out of your stay because it is 16min up by car leaving from Jardin. Everything was 100% excellent and the hosts were incredibly willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to entertain our 20m old baby.

• Df17 (10/5): Amazing stay with friendliest host and gorgeous views, right in countryside - Amazing stay with the friendliest host. The hotel (finca) is located in the mountainous area outside of Jardin town, secluded and quiet. The hotel offers the most beautiful views from the patio. This is also where the (included) breakfast is served: breakfast with an amazing view. The gardens around the hotel are lush, green and well kept. The room was wonderful, great matrasses, and crispy clean linens and towels. The hotel is a fairly short distance from Jardin town, but it's up a steep and pitted road, so the drive up in a tuktuk takes about 25 minutes and costs 25.000 pesos (fixed price). We kept that in mind and combined our activities to only travel up and down twice a day. The host is very helpful and advises both in person about trips, outings, how to get to the hotel etc. as well as sends you info beforehand. And his wife even took us into town one day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would absolutely stay again. The Nothing.

While breakfast was included, Patio Bonito provided other meals that were exceptionally delicious. We felt like we were on our own estate. The location could not have been better with incredible views and access to an organic coffee finca with additional activities. We loved that we could take long or short walks from Patio Bonito accompanied by their adorable dogs. It was quiet and peaceful. The staff went over and above to make our stay outstanding! Nothing

• Katarzyna (10/5): Beautiful views and great stay - We stayed 3 nights at the Patio Bonito bungalow and absolutely loved it. The bungalow was comfortable, very spacious and private - perfect for a young family like ours. We appreciated the possibility to have lunch and dinner in the main house, which were always delicious and also catered to the needs of our little fussy eater. The setting is very beautiful and views are breathtaking. Our son loved playing with the dogs and chasing the peacock. A small playground in the garden was also a very nice addition. Some good hikes from the property and possibility to arrange excursion (horse riding). What was the absolute highlight though and made our stay very special was the very warm welcome from the owners - Vinny and his family and very kind and professional hosts. They made us feel like family and went an extra mile to help us also beyond our stay in Jardin. We would love to go back one day. Gracias!

It is so beautifully, the views are out of this world - unreal. Our room was so beautiful, very clean. The family that owns this place is run by such amazing and welcoming people, and the breakfast is SO GOOD!! They are also very dog friendly, and they have two peacocks that just run around the property. Wifi is like described in the listing, shower was HOT and getting there is very easy with a tuk tuk. Personally I am super happy, we didn't stay in the city, because the views in this place and on the way there are something you definitely don't want to miss! Cannot recommend this place enough! ♥️🇨🇴🌴

If staying at Alto Bonito in Salamina was the highlight of our Airbnb accommodations, Patio Bonito is one of the best Booking accommodations on all our travels. We love peace, nature, good food, and friendly people. Patio Bonito is all that in one. Mr. Vicente is an extremely friendly host. His advice on visiting natural beauty spots, coffee farms, and restaurants in town was extremely helpful to us. Evening gatherings on the terrace listening to the sounds of nocturnal animals, but especially waking up to the symphony of birdsong, are priceless. Finding a big bunch of homegrown bananas at your doorstep is a special experience for us, living at the foot of the Alps. Both dogs are friendly, and the peacock and his companion are very entertaining. We traveled by rental car, so access to the city was not a problem, but for everyone else, there's a Tuk Tuk that takes you to Jardín. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay. Mr. Vicente, his wife, and all the other staff are very kind and helpful. Thank you for everything, and also for the recipe on how to make excellent arepa and apologies for forgetting the key in the room.
• Shanti (10/5): Exceptional - The view from this place is so amazing. But not just the view, also the accomodation itself is in the middle of beautiful green garden. We stayed in a cabaña a bit down from the rest. Lots of privacy, spacious appartement, nice warm shower and comfortable bed. We were served a huge and delicious breakfast. The best we had in Colombia. We liked everything from the accommodatiob a lot, but the best was Yaneth herself. She made us feel at home and was very special.

The water did go off a few times but it was quickly resolved

• Kathryn (9/5): Getaway in Andes mountains - We loved the views, the friendly pets, the hospitality, the breakfast, and the fresh air. Diego was a wonderful host. It was convenient to Jardín but gave us a breather from the town when desired. The peacocks and rooster were quite early alarm clocks! But, that's just how birds are. We should have brought some bug spray as well as mosquito bites were aplenty.

• Daniel (7/5): Good location in the nature with all the pros and cons - We stayed in a bungalow and liked the fact that we were out in the nature. The breakfast was delicious as well and the lady who prepares the breakfast was very friendly. The breakfast has an open kiosk atmosphere with great view. Feels like staying with family or friends. The lady who was in charge was really nice, especially we like that she explained a lot about Colombia and the local fruits. Great hospitality! Cleanliness of the bungalows could have been better. On the first night we had a miscommunication regarding the breakfast organisation. We were told that breakfast starts at 8 but when we appeared at 8 we had to wait very long until breakfast was possibly. This kind of destroyed our plans for the day.

• David (10/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable. - The breakfast was delicious and the bed was super comfortable. We also ate dinner here and it was also very good. The hosts were very attentive and offered good advice on local activities as well as offer us drinks upon arrival and throughout the day. Lot's of bugs. Probably due to the time of year/ time of day and the fact you are in a jungle, but we felt like we needed to escape to the village in order to avoid the bugs for a few hours.

• Melany (10/5): amazing! excellent get away from the city - the view, the animals, the room, everything was perfect. the coffee tour with Don Jaime is TOP the path it’s a bit rough to get to if you don’t have a 4*4
• Elizabeth (9/5): Superb - Diego and his mom took great care of us! The location is just wow, the homecooked meals also and the pets too. Just bare in mind the bumpy road and/or difficult access to taxis to go into town, they do offer rides in their truck though! Thanks again for everything!!
