With access to a beautiful enclosed garden.
- Claire (10/5): A comfortable stay in a well equipped property - The property was perfect for a short stay, comfortable and well equipped. It was only a short walk into town or to the beach. The courtyard garden is a peaceful haven.
- Ali (9/5): Superb find, would stay again - The private little garden with tropical plants was so nice, very restful and perfect for our staffy to sniff about in. The house was very clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Excellent for a one night stop en route to the tunnel. The wifi was sketchy but not a massive problem for one night.
- Helen (9/5): Superb - Very clean and nice decor. Lots of attention to detail and thoughtful touches such as dog bowls/blankets The area looked a little run down but was perfectly fine and the location is great for accessing le shuttle
- Helke (9/5): Superb -

- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - It was great! Everything we needed was there.

- Marco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (9/5): Bradstone Garden great get away - the accommodation was excellent, we were warmly welcomed when we arrived. Facilities great. Very dog friendly. There needs to be a little more information on how the TV operates, we are not savvy on multifunctional gadgets and thereforefound it, quite confusing. Ella did pop in and help.
- Kate (10/5): A weekend in Kent visiting family. - Spotlessly clean, beautifully organised, stylishly furnished and decorated, everything you could possibly need to hand. Nothing. Ella has thought of everything and executed it with style and panache.
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nigel (8/5): Very good - The accommodation was very good & well appointed, it had everything we needed for our overnight stay, the bed was very comfortable so we had a good night's sleep. Ella was very pleasant to deal with in regard to the booking and tried to assist with our requirements. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend it. Unfortunately, we had an issue with arranging parking as Ella informed me on the morning of our arrival that she had been unable to get us a permit for outside the accommodation, which caused a bit of a panic, however, we did resolve it and I don't think it's the sort of thing that happens often. We also found the smell in the accommodation to be a bit overpowering, whether it was an air freshener or a cleaning product of some kind I don't know, but it was a little strong for us, maybe most people wouldn't notice it.
- Debbie (10/5): We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again - The little flat was lovely. I loved the quirky fittings. The bed was very comfortable. Nothing
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - Very conveniently located being only a short walk to the centre, which has some lovely bars and restaurants.
Bradstone garden retreat was nicely furnished and very cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was supplied for our stay.
- Paul (6/5): Pleasant -
- Turtlebeak (10/5): A little safe haven. - An amazing space with all that you need! The back garden was like a jungle oasis that was covered and private. The host, Ella, couldn't be any more kind or helpful. Thank you! Strength of the internet was the only issue, this made watching certain channels glitchy. However...we were outside in the garden most of the time.
- Richard (7/5): Ok but frustrating - The host has thought of everything, it was very clean and nicely decorated The internet was useless which meant the television was unwatchable
There was also a musty odour my wife didn’t approve of
- Izzy (9/5): A gem of a stay in fabulous Folkestone!! - A 12minute flat walk to the Harbour, the Old Town is slightly uphill but well worth it for the variety of independent shops, bars and restaurants. Our host Ella made the stay, from greeting us as we arrived to providing us with a complimentary breakfast the next morning of bread, bacon, pastries, eggs and fruit (which made keeping room for lunch very difficult) to messaging me after we'd said our goodbyes to inform me I'd left something behind. Fortunately the car was still parked outside (Ella had arranged a permit for us for our stay which we were also able to extend) and so the item was easily retrieved before we continued our journey to Hythe.
The was a Tesco Express located immediately behind the flat which was very convenient and we knew the station was a short walk away. So much on the doorstep, we loved the Harbour Arm and we had some beautiful evenings on the beach. A perfectly restful stay, we will return.
The flat itself had everything you need, a little fridge, a toaster and microwave, a coffee machine.....Ella included teas, milk, coffee and more water and a kettle in our room. There was also an iron...I didn't see the ironing board but I'm sure there was one. A beautiful little suntrap garden with a table and chairs......every little detail is thought of, an extra blanket on the bed, free WiFi, even access to Netflix. A gem of a stay!! Not knowing where I was going made it feel like we were further away than we were, planning routes and exploring made that easier.
While there is some hallway seating to take breakfast, it's functional but not the most comfortable, we ate and kept popping back out to pick but fruit flies seemed to appear quickly and once we had them, they managed to get in the bedroom. Possibly a system with eating and clearing breakfast could be looked at. Perhaps if it was delivered on a covered tray this would help. We absolutely loved the breakfast though so wasn't overly concerned.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Clean & modern. Parking was limited, we got lucky finding a spot outside.
- Noureau (10/5): Lovely place to stay in Folkestone - The garden is really lovely and the appartement cosy and confortable. I felt at home. Nothing really
- Katalin (10/5): Lovely apartment - Very nice location, only 10 minutes from the tunnel terminal, clean, cute private garden area, nicely furnished. Very quiet overnight, good night sleep. All was good
- Damian (8/5): A great find in Fokkestone - The accommodation was great, perfect for the 4 of us and Ella went above and beyond to help us out when we needed it, the perfect host. The only issue was the bathroom door was hard to close quietly in the middle of the night but to be honest if that is as bad as it gets, it's great.
- Kathy (10/5): A fabulous, restful stay in a central location - Beautifully furnished, clean, bright and lovely garden seating area. Nothing - all was lovely
- Andras (1/5): Bad - None This was a terrible .Everything was bad.The area was real dangerous ,i am just walked to Tesco when a stranger shouted to me it was a scary.Limited parking spaces,a house was with a mould smell,a bed was very uncomfortable, everything was so different on photos but in the real this was a terrible .Avoid if you travel through Europe you need a decent place for rest.
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): Excellent spotless everything you could possibly want -
- Denise (6/5): Nice room, good location, overall ok for a one night stay - Nice room, just what we expected for the price
- Anonymous (10/5): Great overnight stay got us on Le Chunnel early - Unbelievably clean. Smelt clean and fresh too as soon as you walk in Nothing to dislike
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Host directions was very clear, house was as advertised, ideal for a short stay in Folkestone or as we did, overnight stay to get the shuttle to France ( house was only 10 mins away by car) communications was clear. Will stay again.
- Manuela (10/5): A wonderful place for your first or last days of a holiday in England - A very nicely decorated apartment with a cute fairy garden terrace, two bedrooms and everything you need for a nice cup of tea or a quick breakfast (there is a Tesco store for all you need just around the corner). It´s only a 10-minute walk to the (gravel) beach with its pubs and beach restaurants which offer all kinds of delicious food.
- Cheryl (9/5): Too nice for just a one-night stop! - + Location very handy when travelling via Dover.
+ Tasteful, well kept, cosy and well planned little basement apartment/room.
+ Use of mini-garden/patio possible, but which we unfortunately couldn’t due to weather and lack of time. - Surrounding area itself only so-so, but no traffic heard at all.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - I'm tall and the bed was a little on the small size for me
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Sharp (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, clean and cosy, great location to town & Sea front.Reason for our trip was to see a concert and location of the accommodation was near to the theatre too.. Highly recommend.
- Neil (10/5): Lovely overnight stay for onward journey to Eurotunnel - Excellent location for onward journey to the Eurotunnel.
Comfortable bed, friendly host and short walk into Folkestone. N/a
- Loops (8/5): Not as accessible as would want . Road quite dark at night , wouldn’t want to be walking around . - The hosts The area needs more street ligjts
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - Warm, comfortable, clean, good facilities. 2nd bedroom damp smell, we were not using so ok. Basement and we were there January so probably just time of year and need for airing.parking on street, we were lucky to find a space but need to be aware if coming in a car.
- Yvonne (9/5): Stop over - The Garden was Secure perfekt when travelling with dog . Short walking distance to Town and Habour. Beds comfortable.
Definitely stay again Toilet did not flush properly. Paper left behind.
- Cristina (9/5): Superb -
- Neil (10/5): Excellent property and location for short stay on way home from travels via Eurotunnel - Immaculate and cosy with all amenities provided for short stay.
Ella was quick to respond and arranged permit for parking right outside the property.
Short distance from Eurotunnel and short walk into town with lovely dog friendly bars and restaurants. Nothing all good 👍
- Stefanie (10/5): Exceptional - The appartment was nicely equipped with everything we needed and a bit more. Ella, our host, has even prepared us a great breakfast very early so that we were able to eat before returning back home via the tunnel. The communication upfront with her was super easy, she replied quickly and also offered to help with the parking options. Our dog was welcome as well. It was a great idea to stop for a last night in Folkstone, visiting Dover Castle with some time and sleeping in Ella's appartment before returning early morning home. We can really recommend the Bradstone Garden Retreat.
- Lynne (10/5): it was close to town but a quiet lovely getaway - perfect place . nothing
- Manuela (10/5): A wonderful place to recover after a long journey to England - The beautifully decorated little apartment with all you needed, tea and coffee and freshly baked brownies and a cute, romantic little garden included. Our two dogs were no problem, and the beautiful waterfront with many food options is within walking distance. We would have loved a full English breakfast, but the supermarket just around the corner provided all we needed for our next day.
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (8/5): Perfect stay, spotlessly clean, good communication. - Pleasant stay to begin our journey via le Shuttle. Everything was above and beyond, communication great and the flat was super clean. The only downside was that we were unsure, safety wise, walking into town, having not been to Folkestone for many years. Nothing.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional - Such a cute little apartment, absolutely sparkling clean! Beautiful little court yard garden and the most friendly lady owning it! Very comfortable bed, had a great night's sleep. Cold water and milk in the fridge and an extra jug at room temperature which is a lovely touch.
10 minute stroll to the harbour and sea front! A real jewel in Folkestone. Would definitely stay again if we're there!
- Aart (8/5): Very good - good bed and shower. All was very clean. Nice facilties for making breakfast. Very friendly host. Smooth check in. You can retreat in a small very nice garden. Wifi signal was poor.
- Maureen (10/5): Little jewel of a place. - The decoration and layout was really creative and attractive. Nice little touches, prints on the walls, breakfast bar making the best of a small space.
The courtyard garden was a heavenly oasis.
Everything was well laid out and spotlessly clean.
