Guest Reviews

- Sara (7/5): - The location was really good, very close to the train station. It was clean and had everything that you wanted. The house is smaller than it seems, but it was okay for one person, and considering that I didn't stay inside for the majority of the day There is no internet access. The host didn't reply at all when I asked about the wifi.
There was one duvet designed for a single bed (even though the bed was a double), which was a little bit small. I understand that maybe the host wants to make sure that I don't bring any other person into the house, but that's a little bit extreme.
There wasn't any shampoo. I arrived pretty late because my flight was delayed and I couldn't take a shower.

- Francesca (7/5): Good - The staff had been friendly, even if I didn't meet them in person the communication has been easy and efficient. It's well connected to the main train station and it's quiet. I would recommend it for a stay in Cottbus. I believe that it was slightly overpriced for the kind of accommodation, but overall it has been a good experience.
- V (9/5): Superb - nice place not many shops in the thown
- Melanie (5/5): Nice at first glance, beware the pitfalls. Great for early risers, not so for the rest of us. - The apartment is nicely appointed, although it looks larger in the pictures than it is in reality. The bed is very comfortable, the kitchen has everything needed, there is even a bean-to-cup coffee maker. I did prepare some meals, but had to buy some kitchen essentials. I don't know if there is a hygiene law in effect, but all the usual cooking spoons, spatulas, etc that are customarily made from wood were absent. Dishwasher is a big plus. The coffee machine was not immediately operable. I had to run a cleaning/descaling cycle, requiring me to buy the materials to do so. The cycle took over 45 minutes to complete, that isn't really fun. The blinds don't cover the windows, there is no way to darken the rooms at all. As I don't normally rise before noon when on holiday, that was causing me actual problems, so much so that I forfeit the last night's stay in favour of a hotel that would let me sleep past noon. The light conditions in the apartment were such that I was unable to sleep past 8am, and for me, sleeping in is a major part of being on holiday. Further, lighting fixtures are installed in ways not permissible under VDE rules, covers missing from outlets and lighting fixtures with connection blocks in plain sight and non-functional shower lighting made things a bit dicey there. I had to replace the batteries in the TV and A/C remotes as they were empty, I did so at my own cost. The last set of steps is a doozy, trying to climb it with heavy luggage is near suicidal, going down is even more so. The wardrobe is on the mezzanine level, one flight of steps from the bedroom, better plan your wardrobe early. The edging on the shelf over the stairs needs some love, it's raw plywood visible to the eye and liable to cause damage to clothing or fingers. Parts of the lighting is aged and needs warm-up time to reach full brightness, especially in the bathroom.
