Guest Reviews
- Tina (8/5): - Bedrooms and beds. Most kitchen facilities. Spacious kitchen and living room.. There wasn't a washing up bowl or plug for kitchen sink. Would have liked more freezer space. There wasn't a clock anywhere.
- lisa (9/5): Perfect setting for a visit to the Gower, Swansea or Mumbles. - The location is fantastic. Located at the start of the Gower which allows for a variety of activities swimming, walking the promenade and the Gower Coastal way or just staying in and relaxing. Perfect for walking to all the great independent shops as well . It could use an air drier or outside line for hanging towels and more towel hooks. Otherwise it was great
- Dianne (9/5): We enjoyed our week, located close to The Mumbles, bus directly outside front door. - Location was close to everything
Bed & shower were great.
Light, airy and fresh look made it feel welcoming Only one towel per person for a week stay with no self serve laundromat close by.
Floor still had sand on it and kitchen cooktop was not clean.
Steps steep, had to leave luggage bags down stairs as too difficult to carry up to bedroom.
- Guest (5/5): Good location not very clean - Good location The property was dirty there was hai me in the bedding. A mould chopping board in the kitchen. We had to buy cleaning products to clean before we felt comfortable
- Vicki (8/5): -
- Margaret (7/5): Alright stay. Cute place - Location. Comfortable beds Had some issues that were resolved. No instruction manuals for appliances. Steep stairs. Kitchen table way too small for four people.
- Viola (9/5): Very comfy and ideal for 2 sailors competing at an event - Very good bedroom, kitchen, bathroom The cold tap on bath did not work but we used shower to regulate the temperature
- Britt (9/5): Superb - The location is great, very central yet quiet. I slept amazingly well, the beds are super comfortable and the view from the upper bedroom across the bay is glorious, especially in the morning. The kitchen is well equipped and it has everything you need
I had a minor issue during my stay and I must say it has been handled super well by management. I feel you can tell how good customer service is only when you do have an issue. I really appreciated the responsiveness and little touches that went above and beyond solving the actual issue at hand..
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place and very clean Nothing
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - We enjoyed staying here, it was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Great location in the Mumbles, very close to the seafront and a short walk to restaurants and shops. No parking space but we were easily able to find free parking close by. It is just a few doors from The George pub, we found it very friendly and we couldn't hear any noise from the pub. Planning to return!
- Alison (9/5): Superb - The property was perfect, plenty of room and had everything you needed. The only downside for me was the lack of parking, the property clearly states that there isn't any so I was aware but parking in Mumbles can be expensive and there aren't many 'free' places to park.
- Helen (10/5): Fabulous stay in a really lovely apartment - Great location. Very comfortable apartment and exceptionally clean. Hosts were quick to respond to questions and everything they explained about checking in happened perfectly. There is a small incline to reach the property which we weren't aware of, although it didn't matter to us, someone who has difficulty walking would find it a chore.
- Roy (6/5): I asked questions about parking and hot water which were left unanswered during the stay. - Key box was in awkward position, it was dark so not easy to see numbers
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Kenny (8/5): Very good -
- Ricardo (9/5): We had a comfortable stay. - Well organised house
Great location Should be a notice informing where the switch for the hot water & central heating is. A earlier check in would be appreciated.
- Martin (9/5): Enjoyable visit to family and old haunts. - Nice location, good facilities. All enjoyed the jacużzi in the bath. Convenient for my family visits. Fine nighttime view of the he lights of Swansea Bay from the top floor bedroom. We could not get the dishwasher to work. We visited in winter - parking would be difficult in summer.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Location, shower, quiet
- Ashley (8/5): Very good -
- Jake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Larisa (9/5): It was a lovely property & we had a very good stay. We would stay there again. - It’s a lovely light and comfortable property in a good location in mumbles. It was very clean & well equipped. There were a few faults which we reported. (Kitchen tap wasn’t fitted properly, stable door was broken, couldn’t close bedroom door.) Not a major issue for us & didn’t impact the stay. Their customer service team always answered the phone & messages & said they would call back to sort the faults but then didn’t. A welcome pack would have been helpful as it took a while to work out how to use the job & oven. We managed to park as we were out of season but could imagine this would be a challenge in season & closest car park was £17 for 24 hrs.
- Will (8/5): It was fine. - The location was great, both from local access to shops and restaurants and for being the gateway to the Gower. The property itself is awkwardly placed on a steep single track bank. The instructions about parking. Maybe I didn't read the instructions properly bit it came as a real surprise to find I was on a single track no through road with no available parking.
We also had some difficulty in working out which switches worked which lights and where the microwave power switch was.
It was also a little chilly.
- Eileen (9/5): Perfect little house, close to walks, restaurants and the beach. - Great location and just perfect for a short stay. No back garden.
- Diamond (10/5): Heavenly. - My daughter and I loved every bit of Georges Bank, it was heaven.
The house is a quirky house with deco to match the character of the house.
Georges Banks is in a perfect location in the mumbles with the added bonus of sea view from top bedroom and front door.
The house is basically on the beach front, and within walking distance to mumbles pier, Bracelet Bay and Oyster Castles.
There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
The kitchen is well equipped.
The beds and mattress were really comfortable.
The most amazing experience was being able to walk over to the light house when the tide is low. That it was on a slope, but that beauty of the house and surrounding area makes up for it.
- Stella (7/5): Close to transport and good for a short break. - Good location. Very comfortable beds. Stairs were very steep and no hand rail at the top. No non-slip mat in the bath/shower. Very sharp cornered shelf in the kitchen - knocked our heads on it.
Instructions for recycling were overly complex and difficult to understand. Bins outside the property were not emptied and clean enough to use.
No dustpan and brush so couldn't clean up mud, sand etc. from our shoes.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage itself was beautiful and like home from home. It was a pleasure to stay there. Nothing not to like.
- François-xavier (9/5): A week's visit to Swansea Bay and the Gower Peninsula. - Nice place to stay in the Mumbles with a cool seavieaw from then bedrooms. Bus stop, restaurants and pubs right next to the accommodation. My only comment concerns the kitchen table, which is too small to share meals with 3 or 4 people.
- Glynn (8/5): Very good -
- Dan (9/5): Perfect accommodation for young family or couples excellently located. Highly recommend. - Quality appliances in kitchen & bedrooms. Water hot on demand and pressure very good.
Location excellent, midway to pier and town centre. Location excellent for Gower peninsular (15-30 minute drive depending where going) and 1 hour drive to Brecons. Bus almost right outside the doorstep that regularly services Swansea, local park for smaller children across the road and larger park, splash park and skatepark about 1 mile along the promenade. Ideal for family with younger children, or for couples Confusion over the bins, i think smaller apartment so the 'three bin rule' didn't apply.
Wouldn't recommend for family with older teenagers due to space.
(elderly may struggle with slope up to the property and steep staircase)
(THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE REGARDS THE PROPERTY BUT BE AWARE - there is no parking which we knew, whilst we got lucky by finding places to park for free, you have to be prepared to move around for free parking which is very limited, otherwise Swansea council charge £17 per 24 hours in the local council car park)
- Jude (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (10/5): Great cottage to rent. Highly recommend. Would definitely rebook. - Great cottage in a good location across the road from the beach. Very clean and comfortable beds and plush linens throughout. Management company responded very quickly to any queries we had. Highly recommend this property. All was great
