We booked very last minute but the host, Flo, was incredibly accommodating. She responded to any questions we had. The garden area is beautiful. We felt safe with our dog as the cottage garden and terrace is secure with a gate. We will definitely be back for another visit.

• Lauren (10/5): York cottage - The property is spotless, perfect for families in a lovely village with easy access to York. Cottage, which is up a driveway off the road was hard to spot on arrival as it was pouring with rain so we drove past the property.

• Gemma (10/5): Amazing stay in a beautiful cottage 🙂 - The property was beautiful, spacious, and well designed and thought out. I loved the added extras like the tea, coffee, sugar etc provided. It was really lovely having the board games, books, and jigsaws (which my husband enjoyed doing). The property was gated and secure for our dog, a nice garden too. It was peaceful and totally different to where we live, we were actually able to relax and enjoy being in the countryside. I can't recommend the property highly enough. I would definitely book again and return to enjoy a longer stay. Thank you 😊
• Helen (10/5): A restful stay in a well-equipped and beautiful home. - Set in a very pretty village, the property is beautiful and has everything needed for small children. The finishing touches were great. Flo was very communicative and accommodating to our changing arrival time. The property was a little hard to find - Google maps took me down the road and when I popped into the village hall to ask directions no one knew where it was!
• Gavin (9/5): A very pleasant and enjoyable stay in beautifully presented cottage for a family of four. - The property was perfect for a family of 4. Newly renovated, light, airy and spacious. It is very clean and well presented. It is stocked above and beyond expectation for a booking.com property. It is located in a lovely, small and quiet village. The village has no amenities, but located so well for all the local sites and attractions. The host was very communicative and warming. This made the whole stay very enjoyable. Would definitely return. Couldn’t really fault the property in any way. If you are not looking to travel, I guess a lack of amenities would be a consideration. It wasn’t an issue for us.
• Belinda (9/5): Fabulous property with character set in pretty Yorkshire village - The decor, the comfort, the cleanliness, the garden. Everything finished to a high standard. A very comfortable property set in a pretty village with easy parking. Outside furniture looked a bit worse for wear and not comfortable to sit on. It didn’t matter to us but the property might benefit from having a full size freezer particularly if guests are staying for a week or more

Two bathrooms, one with a shower, which was ensuite. Everything you could ask for in a self catering cottage. We had our dog with us and it was a really pleasant change to be able to stay in a cottage of this quality when taking her with us Nothing
