Guest Reviews
- Damen (10/5): - Property was clean and tidy, and had everything we needed for our stay.
- MacNamara (9/5): Hideaway Holiday - Clean, well equipped van in an ideal location on the site. Everything works, nothing missing, nothing broken. Parking isn't the closest and when the park is busy the parking fills up fast. Unclear if when renting this unit access to park facilities and entertainment is included in price or not.
- Parr (10/5): - Plenty to do
Restaurant food excellent Disappointed with swimming pool
- Mandy (9/5): Our Stay at the Hideaway - The caravan was very clean ,and comfortable ideal for 2 adults and 2 children ,it had everything you needed. It was in a nice location near to the swimming pool and playground etc, was quite peaceful. I would recommend it and certainly stay again . The park Dean site had everything needed for a 7 and 4 year old .
- Lund (10/5): - Location
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning caravan, exceptionally clean and brilliant location. Prices of things on the site were quite steep but that's nothing to do with the caravan owners.
- Shane (10/5): Will 100% return fantastic caravan great host had a great time - Everything clean tidy everything we needed Nothing
- Sean (10/5): The stay was great, the host was there if we needed them, had a lovely family break - We cooked our own breakfast A few more utensils could have been better, oven gloves, frying pans, etc
- Samantha (10/5): Perfect week away, lovely site, great facilities, 10/10 - Rooms were clean and spacious, a lovely location on the park and close to all of the main facilities on site.
- Mahlohonolo (4/5): Disappointing - I don’t like the cold ,so the caravan had a good heating system which was only the positive thing about the accomodation. The owner of the caravan sounded kind and lovely .After we got in ,we called him over the phone and complained about the dirt ,he apologised and when the shower knob fell off as it had become loose over time ,he immediately sent someone to fix it .They are several beaches nearby and lots of activities to do with kids . The caravan was dirty on arrival and it has this unpleasant odour that will really put u off as soon as you get it .We had to clean ,sweep the floors and mop when we got in and went out to buy airfreshener to try and wade off the smell which worked just a little bit.Carpets in bedrooms were dirty as well as cob webs and dirt in the bathrooms.Generally the shower is now old ,has moulds and one of the toilet seats now old too .was cautious of this all the time. Also cars are parked far from the caravan and after a long journey,we had to pull and carry our luggage up and down from the road side where the car was to where the caravan was. They should just have made a parking space next to the caravan to make it convenient. So from the first day we regretted ever booking this caravan and wished we could cut out stay short but we had already paid and at that point could not reverse.Always have my holidays in caravans ,but for us this was the worst because lm particular about the cleanliness of my environment.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (8/5): A great family break at fairly short notice meeting holiday expectations. - The administration leading up to the stay with the owner was fantastic and they were always willing to help with any questions. Prompt responses were received which is always a good thing. Nothing, all good. The property is well used but in great condition.
- Stuart (9/5): Good hoilday and great location and easy access to the property. - Easy access to the property and good communication other the owner. No.
- Jade (10/5): Good communication, nice caravan , good location - Close to the beach The cost of activities on site
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janine (10/5): Exceptional - Accommodation close to facilities but not close enough to keep us awake by disco. Lots to do for kids. Staff friendly and facilities great. Nothing
- Brenda (9/5): A lovely short break in a nice position - Location was really good and easy to find. Caravan was clean and well stocked with cooking utensils, glasses, plates etc and cleaning materials. Beds and plllows were really comfortable unlike many hotels. Good heating system so always plenty of hot water. Some of the metal cooking trays need replacing but that was only a minor issue.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hailey (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Great location, lovely and clean and all facilities you need. Caravan site was great, lovely pub / restaurant, entertainment and everything for families in one spot, also a great beach within walking distance. Little bit more cutlery / better frying pan and maybe larger fridge / freezer if staying longer than a few days. Shower controls very stiff to control
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Excellent caravan - The location, the cleanliness, spacious, the owners were helpful. Nothing we didn't like
- Susan (9/5): A fabulous Yorkshire mini break - Well equipped, beautiful caravan. Great location. it's easy to get to all attractions. On a good bus route.
Found an amazing place to eat..the Farrier, in Cayton village.
Local entertainment is good too, especially Bingo and Tapas at the Tow Bar pub.
Cayton Beach is amazing and breakfast there at the Salty Dog was a bonus! Short enjoyable coastal walk to Scarborough. There is nothing to dislike.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely clean caravan with everything we needed. Friendly host. Good location for beach and lots of on-site activities.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Lovely caravan and good host. - The Hideaway had everything we needed for us and our two children (under 2's). The position on the site was perfect, just a minutes walk from the facilities but quiet due to the space at the front with trees and hedges. My toddler loved sitting outside and watching the birds. Very clean and comfortable. Great communication from the host too. Would definitely go back again. Nothing we didn't really like specific to the caravan. We didn't end up paying for the entertain passes because they didn't seem worth it for us but there was plenty on offer if we had wanted to get them.
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional - The hideaway was lovely , clean well equipped , it was in a perfect location too not far to walk to all shops , bars ext.. would defiantly like to stay again .
- Daz (5/5): it was ok, it was as i expected - fairly quiet at a night time not meeting the owner
- Storm (9/5): We had an amazing time, the caravan is close to places of interest but far enough away that you don’t feel crowded - The property was lovely and clean in a pretty setting The hob was really good but the oven section wasn’t amazing and took a really really long time to get to temperature
- Ashleigh (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): The Hideaway - Nice clean caravan with a lot of little essentials provided. Owners easily contactable if needed. Local seasides within a short drive
- Pamela (10/5): Excellent - The caravan is fully equipped for the whole family including a baby , has absolutely everything you need lovely caravan
- Darcey (8/5): Very good - Great location and a lovley park, nice facilities A few issues with the keys and cleanliness,I don’t think this has ever happened by what the host has said before..reckon it was a one off.the host sorted this and wouldn’t be put off by the comments, handled well so Thankyou
- Holmes (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - Nice site
- Garrard (8/5): Very good -
- Ellen (10/5): brilliant warm cosy stay - it was clean and tidy. very homely. had many extras. brilliant for my little girl and me. will definitely book again there was nothing I disliked
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - The Home was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and spacious. The heating was very efficient and kept the whole
Van warm. The fact that if we wanted to use the facilities, we would have to pay extra at reception. That should have been included in the cost.
- Clare (8/5): Very good -
- Tim (9/5): Well presented and clean caravan. Comfortable and would come again. - Location was great, kids loved the attractions and was closed to the beach . On site entertainment was good and food also. Sam teaching Archery was superb. Beds were comfy and caravan had everything you'd need and was clean. Not didn't like but with all sites like this apart from paying for the ticket for certain entertainment you still have to pay for a lot of things on site. They are well done by the staff & well managed but just need to be conscious of it.
