The food was great and the rooms were of a good standard.
All at a good price. Nothing really
- Chloe (8/5): - The room was comfortable, nicely decorated, had a view of the sea on clear days and a selection of teas/coffees available. The vegan breakfast was good and the owners made sure I also had vegan snacks and yogurt available. The pies we had for dinner on two nights were also great.
- Jack (9/5): Had a lovely stay great view from room and great breakfast 😊 -
- Claire (8/5): - Lovely friendly owners, helpful. Breakfast was great.
- Mark (10/5): Lovely place to stay, highly recommended - The hotel is clean and comfortable, the room was well equipped and well stocked with towels and toiletries, the view from room window was amazing!
The hotel staff/owners very friendly and welcoming, the full Welsh breakfast was incredible and the vegetarian sausages they served were the best I’ve had!

- Toby (9/5): Great and pleasant -
- Judy (10/5): Briliant. Will certainly use them again. - An exceptional cooked breakfast. Friendly staff who were willing to help you plan your days out while on holiday. nothing
- Amit (9/5): - Adam and Tracy were amazing, extremely accommodating, friendly and they bought us a bouquet of flowers for our anniversary!
- Jane (9/5): Enjoyable stay and would highly recommend. - The view (we could only imagine how much better it would be on a clear calm day when we could have also visited the beach), the comfortable room, the excellent breakfast, the friendly owners/staff. Yes, Harlech DID hold the Guiness Book of Records for the world's steepest street briefly in 2019-2020. :-) ??? Nothing.
- Brian (8/5): Enjoyable long weekend in a gorgeous part of the world - Central to where we were visiting Nothing
- Kevin (9/5): - Very friendly clean and great location.
Breakfasts very good freshly cooked Nothing
- Joanne (10/5): We Highly recommend this guest house - Great location at the top of Harlech near castle and shops with parking to rear. Really comfortable bed and great bed linen. Fantastic room facilities with quality tea, coffee and shower products. Friendly owners and staff. Fantastic breakfasts - again with excellent products and choice. Appreciated option to eat in with pre ordered pies. Nice little bar with board games too. N/A
- Douglas (10/5): A lovely guest house in a delightful North Wales village that had been my childhood holiday venue. - Prior to arriving, my car had an accident only about 10 miles from our destination and had to be put on a recovery transporter. We had phoned our host to say we would arrive about 6pm, then, as time drew on and we phoned and found the host very reassuring. Arrived after 10pm but very helpful. Next morning I was phoning Insurance and Rescue companies; also a Car Hire firm and a taxi driver - all using his landline because the mobile signal kept dropping out. He gave us a drink "on the house" because our short stay had started so badly. All the staff were sympathetic and helpful, and the rooms and meals were lovely. Ideally we would have had a lower floor or a lift because of all the extra luggage we had to carry from our car before it was taken away. to our room. But we knew what to expect, so no complaints.
- Valerie (10/5): - That place it position very hospitable hosts friendly and smiley also helpful.
It's in a lovely village with lots going for it hope it doesn't change. Peaceful quite. Just for me. Nothing
- Philip (9/5): Harlech itself a bit quiet but hotel couldn’t of been better. - Very friendly and helpful owners. Beautiful setting. Peaceful garden to sit and have a quiet drink or two. Nothing

- Kachniarz (10/5): Perfect time in fab place. - All was perfect.
- Ayda (8/5): We had a lovely time at Bydir house and would recommend it to others. - The value for money compared to the local accommodation at the peak time, was great. The hosts were so lovely and attendive. The bathroom was very clean. And parking was available. The one recommendation I have, is to make the room cleaning service optional (similar to hotels, with a sign to be able to hang at outside to inform the hosts of preference). This way there is minimal disruption during the stay and can accommodate varying preferences.
- Rebecca (7/5): - The hosts were lovely and welcoming.
Breakfast was delicious.
Very nice area near the beach and the castle. The room could have been cleaner. The carpets are in need of a clean.
Mould in the shower which was a huge shame.
- Robert (9/5): Great location, breakfast and hosts - The room was very clean with a lovely view towards the sea. The hosts were extremely friendly and the breakfast was very filling with plenty of options available The property was lovely and very difficult to fault anything
- Melanie (10/5): Perfect - Adam and Tracy were perfect, Adam is a brilliant cook and Tracy a minefield of local knowledge. Harlich is a little shy of places to eat, however the best pies in the UK are found at Byrdir House.. Ask about the three minute flat walk to one of the most amazing views on the planet 🥰 Nothing 😁
- Thomas (10/5): Very enjoyable - Everything about the property was first class. Owners were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend
- Martin (10/5): -
- catrin (10/5): Harlech is a great place to visit for the beach and castle. - Great location for beach and castle and wonderful hosts. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice to suit everyones needs. All I would say is that Harlech is very quiet at night in terms of pubs and bars but very easy to catch the train to Barmouth where there is a bit more going on at night.
- Graham (10/5): Superb short stay - Excellent host - great room with very comfy bed. Super breakfast
- Helena (9/5): A restful stay and we were looked after well - Peaceful, large room and 2 chairs to watch TV, generous breakfast
- DAVID (9/5): -
- Tina (9/5): -
- Sue (8/5): Nice B & B, clean and comfortable with a superb breakfast, priced just right. - Breakfast room was clean and brightly decorated.
Breakfast was exceptionally good especially the sausages.
Room clean and bed very comfortable.
Staff very helpful. No atmosphere at breakfast could have some music to break the silence.
Bar not open even early evening.
- Yvonne (7/5): - Gutes Frühstück. Es liegt etwas abseits, abends ein Restaurant zu finden, war etwas schwierig.
- Carmel (10/5): - The owners were a really lovely couple, welcoming us with a much needed cup of tea and biscuits, and a lovely chat. AND the breakfast was the best we have ever had. Nothing
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional - A fantastic stay. Loved the area, great centre point for walking activities. Accommodation was in the bungalow, superb with the bonus of a robin visiting every day. Amazing hosts, great pies and just an overall great experience.
- Lucy (10/5): Great and enjoyable - Location was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and rooms very clean and comfortable. Narrow driveway/small entrance
Lack of stair rails on stairs although not a dislike as such more a suggestion
- Terence (10/5): Our stay was excellent. - Proprietors - welcoming, very friendly, helpful, & eager to please.
The large room was comfortable, exceptionally clean & adequate. A Television, hair dryer & iron were also available. The bathroom housed a very efficient shower/wash basin etc. Towels were changed daily.
There were tea/coffee making equipment. An excellent selection of teas & coffees, biscuits & sweets was also a lovely addition. Perhaps both soft & firm pillows.
- Pauline (10/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): Everything we hoped for. - Lovely welcome and most enjoyable stay. Nothing!
- Christine (9/5): An enjoyable, comfortable break with excellent breakfast at Byrdir House - Comfy room with tea and coffee making facilities - and lovely biscuits. Excellent shower. Plenty of towels and toiletries. The sea could be seen from the bedroom window. Excellent choices at breakfast, all of which were delicious.
Good parking, which for me is a must.
The hosts were helpful and informative, as well as being friendly and approachable. Nothing
- Paul (8/5): Comfortable stay in a good location with friendly staff - Location was good, breakfast was good, room and bed was comfortable, clean towels each day, hosts were friendly and very informative. Skirting boards and doors in room were dusty and could do with a general clean!
Dining room a bit sparse and could do with some pictures to make a little more homely.
- Anne (10/5): A good break in a lovely little town. - I had the bungalow - spacious, comfortable, very clean, very well equipped. Location excellent for a non- driver - bus stop just round the corner ( buses to Porthmadog, then on to Caernarfon, Criccieth, Portmeirion, Beddgelert etc). Harlech Castle a few minutes walk away. Nothing!
- David (9/5): Lovely stay in upper Harleh - Breakfast was fabulous. Adam's pie's for dinner were next level. Host's were really lovely and looked after is. Would stay again.
- Jayne (10/5): - Very helpful and friendly Nothing I didn't like
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Ann (8/5): -
- Monika (10/5): - Clean and spacious room, good location, friendly staff, very good and tasty breakfast. Towels need changing as they get smelly when wet.
- harry (10/5): This was ideal for a relaxing break. - We arranged to stay in the bungalow, which was excellent. Nothing.
- kelly (10/5): - The location of the b&b was spectacular, the first look of the building was beautiful, we were greeted by Adam. Who was very welcoming, he escorted us to our room, where as other places we have stayed at just gave us the room number as we were left to find our own way. The room was spacious and very clean, the bathroom again very spacious and spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, the pillows and duvet felt like we were in a very expensive hotel. Ee had tea, coffee, sugar milk. And bottles of water ready in our room plus all the toiletries needed in the batjroom, with quality made clean towels. We were asked what time we would like breakfast, which I think was lovely as we could choose our own time rather than have to get up at 7am when we were there for a relaxing time, on the morning we were greeted by Tracey. She was just as lovely as Adam. The breakfast was amazing, we had exactly what we asked for. The food was delicious, fresh and home cooked, we shall definitely be returning. The fact that there was nothing to complain about.
- Titia (9/5): - Adam en Tracey zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam Weinig restaurants in de omgeving.
A'dam losse dat op door zelf heerlijke pie's ye serveren
- Ashwin (9/5): -

- Alan (9/5): Great value, clean and great customer service. - Staff

- Deborah (8/5): Great view and location, friendly folk, comfirtsble & clean and great breakfast. - Welcomimg, clean, great faciʻitirs and great location. My mattress was a lil uncomfortable probably getti g ready fir a nee ine but it was still a good sleep.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Beautiful spacious room with all the facilities and very clean. Landlord and Lady went above and beyond to welcome us and lent us books with maps and routes etc in with lots of suggestions and tips
- Wendy (9/5): -
- PIERRE (9/5): Good place in Harlech - The welcome was very friendly, the breakfast was very good and there was a possibility to have a meal in the evening which was excellent. This is an old house with character.
- anne (9/5): A great location for a relaxing few days - All very good, breakfast, coffee, cleanliness. We also had delicious pies for dinner one evening, these were available at an additional charge.
Owners were very helpful and had good knowledge of the local area and its attractions We liked everything
- Helga (10/5): Alles perfekt. - Schönes Apparment mitten im.Ort.
- William (9/5): - Big room, comfy beds. Friendly owners. Very good breakfast. Area a little quiet. Limited options for local food in the evenings (although the in-house 'pie' selection was impressive!).

- Joy (9/5): - Excellent host; nice property and only a short walk to the centre of Harlech with it's fantastic castle. The flexibility of the host to supply an evening meal on quiet nights in Harlech was much appreciated. The bar & little terrace are a big plus. Lovely cooked breakfast.
- Susan (10/5): -

We had a comfortable room with lovely long views over the roofs to the dunes .Close to a number of cafes and pub but as we stayed out of season few were open in the evening but special mention to Bean a pizzeria adjacent to the Castle which was very good. Private parking to the rear .
- Jo (7/5): - It was lovely to be able to see waves breaking on Harlech beach from the bedroom. The owners were very friendly and welcoming.
