- Madeline (10/5): Such a cute hostel! - I liked the ambiance & the view we had! The property is very cute, our room had a balcony & the decor made me feel like i was in a vampire’s house. There was some confusion at check in surrounding overbooking, but it was handled immediately which is nice. It’s very cute & clean, but could definitely use some maintenance.

- Sergio M (9/5): Vintage, Cute, and Cozy! - The rooms decor have a vintage vibe that make it feel cozy. The bathrooms and bedrooms are nice and clean. There aren't handicap bathrooms. This is not a problem for me, but it can be a problem for people who have mobility issues.

A água acabou e não foi reposta de um dia pro outro e a presença suspeita de uma pessoa que aparentava ser homeless. O check-in também foi tenso pois não tinha feito achando que haveria recepção e assim que cheguei percebi que não conseguiria entrar se não fizesse o check-in on-line. Foi desesperador. Eu sozinha, no meio da rua, tendo que tirar foto do e com o passaporte. A rua também é escura e a região, pra viajante solo feminina, é um pouco assustadora.

- Nathan (8/5): - Amazing location next to LA's coolest neighborhoods. Comfortable room and nice ambiance. Free coffee and filtered water. Good wifi. You can clearly hear the people in the next room, even if they're just talking at a normal level. (There are plenty of free earplugs though.). There's a fridge in the shared area but I guess you're not supposed to use it, since I found the things I put in there stuffed in the trash the next morning, even though they were clearly marked with my name and checkout date. (And it was bottled drinks and other packaged goods, not stinky leftovers.)

- Natalia (10/5): Honestly fabulous! The two items for improvement I listed above don’t change my overall rating of this place! - Really cute, great location, and comfortable! There are two things I think could be improved: - the paper towel machines are SO LOUD and right up against the wall to our room. Every time someone got an automatic paper towel it sounded like a rattly train was driving by. We couldn’t figure out what it was for the longest time. Not the end of the world but maybe something that could be addressed! - On the bottom floor between the kitchen and bathroom off the kitchen, there was no indication of a step down to the bathroom. No stipe or sign or nothing! I tripped hard in the middle of the night and badly hurt my ankle. I think it’s a hazard a liability!

- cadavera (5/5): Check the stove to see if it works & make sure no people are staying in the unrented room next door - I found this place in May of 2025 and wanted to stay there for my birthday in December. So I booked the room cuz it's such a great place and I reserved it for three nights. The oven didn't work and the burners on the stove were not so great either. I had a birthday party that I was making cakes for the following day and couldn't because I had no stove and there was nothing I could do about it. I should have checked it when we got there but I just assumed it would work and I was going to make the cakes late at night and had everything mixed up and then realized that the oven did not heat up so I wasted all the batter that was made from scratch and had to scramble the next day to go and buy expensive cakes that I really couldn't afford. The staff did nothing except send their maid/spy in and to text me that the maid said we weren't out yet. We had all of our stuff at the top of the stairs we were just about to go down when the grumpy ass maid decided to go rat us out. Also, interestingly enough, the room next to ours was not rented when we got there yet there were people in it and it was two men and they turned and left out the gate when my boyfriend went through it and into the laundry room. It seems that the grumpy maid may have some guys who are using the room when it's not booked and letting them have some private getting to know you time since one was putting on his shoes. The curtains were drawn in the room and normally, the curtains are open when no one is staying in that room. I didn't see them or hear them return or see them at all again but the next day when the maid showed up, the curtain was open in that room. Pretty weird and a little bit creepy. So maybe the owner ought to get the stove fixed and keep an eye on what their maid is up to and who's going in and out of that room when it's not rented. But because of everything that happened and as much as I love this place, I won't be returning. I don't know what happened to customer service anymore but it is not customer friendly or helpful to the customer at all.

The other tenants were loud, came in after two am slamming doors, and the room was extremely tiny. It's good for younger people. I didn't know it was a hostel. I didn't see it advertised that way.

- Michelangelo (8/5): Great but needs minor maintenance. - The pro is, this place is really cute, and it’s a cute little experience. I really didn’t have time to enjoy the entire experience they sell I was there for a night. I don’t have much to say about it other than it was great, and I liked the place! I think it would be really fun for a group friends to book! That being said there are a few minor issue. I was in room one which is right next to the entry door. There was no signage stating that the radio will be turned off at 10 PM which is a bit frustrating because I was trying to take a nap. If I had known it would turn off eventually I think that would’ve saved some frustration and I would’ve waited the radio was LOUD. I could hear every word as if the radio was in my room. Lastly, there are minor things that need to update. Unit one’s door handle kept coming right out of the socket. It’s just a quick tightening with the screwdriver, and the blinds in room one were a bit messed up from prior usage, they were sliding out of the string hanger. Not a huge deal but a bunch of small things to add up I would still recommend this place and think it would be adorable for a group of friends.

I had trouble opening the door when I arrived (ended up being a stupid me thing), but they answered my call immediately. Full of charm, I loved all of the details. Definitely gonna be where I stay whenever I visit LA now. Location felt unsafe at night, and there are bullet holes in the door, but once inside, it feels great. Just lock the door. I don't know if the location is necessarily the most convenient either, but it was such a short trip, I ended up Ubering everywhere anyway.

- Shauns (10/5): A quaint room in a place where you would never expect it it’s like it’s own little world - The decor was exquisite. Each room it seems has its own theme and the common areas are a site to see. The communal fridge was very small but that’s it.

- Olive (7/5): - charming place and very friendly and helpful staff i’m really not one to complain about noise but you can hear absolutely everything within the hotel 🫠 also none of the rooms have direct sunlight or real windows which is a shame
- Tiana (10/5): It was such a nice space. I loved it and had a great time! - Self check in and check out was easy to do and understand. The property was beautiful, I absolutely loved the decor! Support was easy to access and they were super kind! Nothing I didn’t like. I loved it! I think the hardest part was the parking, but they gave information on where the best place to park was.

- Dilara Iz (8/5): - Great choice for a solo traveller. Tea, coffee, water always available, as well as, toiletries and essentials. Shared bathrooms was completely fine as they were clean. I never had to wait to use the bathroom. More counter space (additional chair, another small table, more hangers) in the bedrooms to be able to put stuff would be great.

- Arroyo (9/5): - Room was clean and tidy. A bit too warm. The bed was a little too small for my 6'2" size.
- Jose (8/5): Pleasant stay - The room has a lot of amenities. I loved the butterscotch coffee and the room smelled amazing. The ambiance is eclectic and cozy. The siren from an ambulance woke me up in the middle of the night. The room was quiet though.
