Daily food trucks over the long weekend was awesome because we didn’t have to leave to have a ‘fun’ dinner The glamping tent was a bit grubby. Food wrappers were in the floor, fans covered in dust and really needed a good deep clean. My kids even said something! The lower bunk had a super thick mattress which caused both kids (6 & 7) to hit their heads multiple times and made it very compact. We used the trundle instead. Annoying… could be solved with a normal thickness mattress.

One car come out full beam - blinded me. I dont know what he was doing. I had to turn across his path then he flicked his lights on high beam obviously not obeying the low light rules. came from the caravan side. this was the only hiccup

• Katti (8/5): Schöne Anlagen, aber keine Schildkröten gesehen - Die Anlage ist sehr schön und die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet. Es wirkt alles noch sehr neu. Wir dachten wir würden Schildkröten sehen, aber leider mussten wir um 18:00 Uhr den Strand schon verlassen. Wir hatten gehofft, dass es wenigstens einen Guide gibt, der unter Beaufsichtigung uns die Schildkröten zeigen könnte. Aber dies wurde nicht mehr angeboten, da wir mit Ende März schon außerhalb der Saison sind. Die Unterkunft bzw. die Anlage ist zwar sehr schön, aber hat leider unsere Erwartungen in Hinsicht auf die Schildkröten nicht erfüllt, auch wenn es heißt "Turtle Sands"
• Mandy (8/5): Entspannung an einem besonderen Ort - Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an einem Strand sowie an einem Wildpark. Dadurch konnte man viele verschiedene Tiere direkt sehen und beobachten. Wir sahen mehrere Kängurus, Vögel, Echsen und sogar Schildkröten. Die Unterkunft bietet täglich wechselnde Programme von Yoga, Strandaufräumaktionen und einen Burgertruck (der war sehr zu empfehlen). Der Kiosk des Campingplatzes könnte sein Sortiment etwas erweitern. Früchte oder Gemüse fehlten komplett und Brot war nur an unseren ersten Tagen verfügbar. Der Weg zwischen der Unterkunft und dem Turtle Center war zwar vorhanden, jedoch nicht beleuchtet oder gut gemacht. Der Strand wird zwischen 18 Uhr und 06 Uhr geschlossen und aus gutem Grund, jedoch wurde man schon um 17:50 Uhr angesprochen und darauf hingewiesen, dass man den Strand doch bitte verlassen soll.

• Robyn (5/5): Could have been great. But at this time it wasn’t. - Lovely set up. Very well looked after When we arrived there wasn’t any electricity. The temperature was 32 degrees. We had food in our esky. But the fridge wasn’t working. So it was melting and had to be thrown out. The swimming pool was closed. And wasn’t opened until 36 hours later.The heat was extremely uncomfortable. Not happy about that. I believe for the money we paid we should have been offered a discount. For all the inconvenience.

One of the nights I stayed they had a food truck, which made for an easy dinner before walking next door to Mon Repos for the Turtle Encounter. I love how this resort minimises light pollution. Perfect walking distance to the Turtle Encounter at Mon Repos which was an incredible experience. Highly recommended.

• Cathryn (7/5): Mon Repos bonus if you stay with us. - Location to Bargara good and mon repos. My unit unfortunately backed onto driveway out of complex. Because was traveling before arriving didn't have a chance to book a night turtle encounter on beach. The reservation system is really bad as don't even have a cancelation list set up. I stayed 8 nights and checked daily but no luck. When went over 6pm regularly I was stunned by how many people going on them. No guarantee either. Seems more like a cash cow rather than the experience. In mornings when on beach 6am footprints from humans completely cover the beach. If staying a week at Turtles it would be a nice gesture to guests staying in the expensive units to be treated to mon repos. It would bring in more people staying. It reflects goodwill .
