Guest Reviews
- Andrew (9/5): Lovely area, nice for a short visit, great for local transport - Nice location, near train station, plenty of eateries close by Toilet leaked from waste pipe, owners obviously aware as they had plastic tray under outflow, but we had to empty it several times during our stay. Bit tired and rundown windows and internal doors didn’t latch properly so doors banged in wind.
- Anne (1/5): Poor management - Nothing They cancelled our booking less than 24 hours before our intended arrival
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (6/5): Pleasant - Not appilcable Wasn’t very clean, felt like property hadn’t been used for a while. Although we knew the outside steps were steep, they was no lighting when we returned to the property in the dark.
- Harry (10/5): Definitely staying again! - The apartment is incredibly well furnished, with everything you could possibly need for your stay. It was a very nice and homly apartment. Our host kept in contact and was available to answer any queries we had. Had one of the best nights sleep I've ever had, the bed was incredibly comfortable. Thank you
- Jane (8/5): Property was well placed to catch public transport to central Cardiff and to roads to Brecon Beacons with hiking, pictur - Location; capacity to self cater. Property was comfortable and quiet. Good parking nearby. More information about equipment and step by step instructions to use it would have been useful.
- Mark (10/5): Everything went as planned and we appreciate the availability for the rugby weekend. - It was in an ideal location with a 5 minute walk to the train station which was only a short trip then into the city. There wasn’t anything wrong with it.
- Keith (3/5): The apartment was cold on the first day and despite a small electric heater being supplied. - N/a, we found only 5 tea bags and two spoonfuls of coffee in the kitchen The letting agent telephoned on the day of arrival saying the boiler in the flat was faulty but he was calling an emergency plumber. When we arrived the boiler still wasn't working.
- Kapil (7/5): Stayed for 18 nights. Nice stay. - Good Location and availability of necessary items. Wooden floors must replace the carpet.
Heaters not working properly.
- Marwaha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (5/5): Pleasant but could of been better. - The property was fairly clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the property whilst not in the best location was quiet. The kitchen sink needed cleaning and the kitchen cupboards needed a wipe, on arrival and the property was very cold and the hot water was luke warm. There were no visible instructions on how to work the heating, oven and extractor fan. The lighting and position of mirrors / sockets made ordinary things like drying hair and applying makeup difficult. The Wifi was unstable which made working a bit of a pain. Overall it just felt the apartment needed a little TLC.
- Ghazal (9/5): A peaceful stay near Whitchurch High St, Cardiff with virtually everything provided for a long stay. - The self-check was an easy process. There was a welcome tray on arrival which was a nice touch. The decor of the flat was in soft tones, which made the flat feel peaceful and relaxing. The sofas and beds were comfortable. The flat is close to Whitchurch High Street which has a Co-op and other shops and also close to Llandaff station which was useful.
My host provided me with contact details, so I could ask her questions and she was timely and responsive. This was overall a really good experience, so I just have a few minor suggestions for improvement. I think having a welcome email or note is useful with details all in one place about the stay, including how the heating works and other useful things.
It would also be better to provide a Smart TV.
