Guest Reviews
- Suzanne Eldridge (10/5): We'll be coming back! - We stayed as a couple at Henny Camping in the pod and had a fantastic escape. The pod was cosy, comfortable and perfectly set up for a peaceful few days away. The sofa was ideal for sitting back and watching the sunset, and the comfy bed made it hard to leave in the mornings.
The kettle and fridge were all we needed to enjoy cold beers in the evening and warm coffee overlooking the fields. We loved having lunch in nearby Lavenham, and the local pub was incredibly friendly with great food and drink.
The setting is beautiful and full of wildlife, we saw birds of prey, pheasants, hares and bunnies during our stay. There’s also an oak tree on the far right of the landscape that strangely reminded us of the tree from Shawshank Redemption.
A genuinely peaceful and memorable stay. We’ll definitely be back.

- Peter (9/5): - Loved the beautiful views and how comfy the pod was. The cooker was good to cook on .
- Joseph Rubeen Varma (10/5): - Very peaceful place.nice environment with a nice pub located close by.walking distance
- Andrew (10/5): So peaceful - So quiet and peaceful. Great views. Great walks near by. Cosy. Minimal. Great staff.

- Lasian (9/5): Peaceful and relaxing stay - The pod's location is easy to access and the views are absolutely lovely. It was a very peaceful and refreshing stay. Already planning to revisit! The shower was a little cool on the second day, but it didn't impact our stay.
- Suffolk (9/5): Lovely place to stay. - The view from the pod was beautiful, it was quiet and comfortable. It was easy to access. We would 100% stay again. We have family in Sudbury so wouldn't need much of an excuse to come back. There wasn't really anything not to like.
- Paul (10/5): Snug as a bug in a rug - The pod was really well set up and had a really lovely relaxing feel to it.
The bonus of a wood fire and plenty of wood meant that it was toasty and snug.
Bed was really comfortable and everything was so clean and smelt really good.
Host was quick to answer any questions We had really windy and cold weather so going out to the shower was refreshing but the actual space was really good and clean.
- Anthony (8/5): Lovely pod - Lovely location Poorly lit
- ANDREW (10/5): Lovely place & really well equipped. - Absolutely immaculate, pretty much everything you needed for a good nights sleep.
Lots of kindling & firewood but you don’t need the log burner lit for long. Only thing I will say is it’s really dark at night outside. The owners have fitted solar lights but we’ve not had much sun but that’s not the owners fault. With the campsite closed it’s quite daunting going back on your own in the dark. Might be worth getting some electric security lights.
- Nicola (10/5): Brilliant stay in the cosy glamp - Everything especially the log burner Shower could of been a bit hotter

- Kevin (10/5): Great pod, great location, great amenities, great facilities, great attractions, Great Henny! - The placement of the pod on site with its beautiful views. The ergonomic layout of the pod inside is very good. It has all the amenities needed to enjoy one's stay. Its warm and cosy. Having two toilets was a great bonus too!. There were no trays to put our plates on. And no designated place for disposal of the ashes from the woodburner. These are very minor issues that didn’t really spoil our stay.

- Meghan (10/5): Highly Recommend! - We loved our short stay, it’s quiet and tucked away with such a gorgeous view. The pod has everything we needed and was spotless, we felt so at home and didn’t want to leave. We will be returning to the pod or to camp in the near future. That we only booked one night!
- Karen (10/5): Comfy camping. - Privacy
Good location
Well presented

- Carlie (7/5): Nice little pod - Pod was very clean, views were lovely. Great to have private outside area and shower. BBQ and coals provided which was great. Only 1 plug socket made it a little difficult to charge anything. Shower only had hot water for about 4 minutes max.
Kitchen was so tiny, really hard to prepare food.
Fridge seemed to freeze at the back and didn't keep things cold at the front.
Felt it was quite expensive for what you actually got.
- Izzy (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (8/5): Very good - The pod was well designed, clean and comfortable with extras included, such as wood for the log burner and coals for the bbq. The shower room was spacious and clean. The pod location was secluded and private. The instructions provided were clear. The outside furniture was basic and tired. The patio area was not well decorated and not secure. A sofa and chair set would have been a nice extra as would some solar string lights.
It could do with a gate/ barrier between the shower room and the main camps wash facilities.
We couldn't log onto the camps wifi
- Coe (9/5): Lovely location and comfortable bed. - Beautiful location, lovely glamping pod, comfy bed and owner's sister was very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend A little grill in the kitchen area might be beneficial
- Peter (9/5): Tranquility - A lovely, cosy, peaceful retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay.
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional - The Glaming pod was so lovely and clean, the place had a fantastic view,,a lovely walk to the pub me and my mum had a fantastic weekend we will be staying again, the shower was fab The only thing wrong could do with another plug to change your phone
No other problems
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): Very good - The nearby Henny Swan pub is excellent, with very good quality food and great staff. The pod is very warm and has a great wood burner. The pod is slightly on the cosy side.
- Ruth (6/5): Pleasant - Lovely decor, room was clean and well supplied with tea, coffee etc
Lots of storage space and hooks dotted around
The area with the glamping pod in was set apart and private from the rest of the site There was very limited electricity which meant there was no WiFi as expected
The area with the glamping pod was quite run down looking and weedy
Most of the firewood provided for the wood burner didn't actually fit in it and there was nothing to chop it with
The shower cubicle was outside and therefore not really usable in cold weather
- Eliza (9/5): Cozy and tranquil - Beautiful location and wonderfully cozy pod! So brilliantly put together and a very comfy bed. The relaxing break we needed! Only small issue was the weeds around the garden patio area. Aside from that a great and relaxing stay!
- Katie-marie (9/5): Superb -
- Twyford (8/5): Happy at Hennys - Excellent location, well equipped comfortable pod. Could do with better wifi, net curtains to keep the bugs and moths etc out at night, and someone to pull all the weeds out.
- Lawcewicz (9/5): Superb - We loved how remote it was, we had our own shower room, patio with bbq, table and chairs which were overlooking a beautiful field. There was so many Flies and we could work out where they were coming from.
- David (7/5): Self contained upgrade of the alternative to sleeping under canvas. - I stayed in the only clamping pod on site and this was my first experience of a glamp. The pod was exactly as advertised and for the self caterer comes with a very well equipped kitchenette which I only used for breakfast. Bed was wide and very comfy, but only accessible from one side. As an alternative to staying under canvas the pod is luxury for the non camper and it come complete with bedding including duvet. It is also well equipped for some alfresco eating with patio, garden table seating, lighting and BBQ. The patio area is not overlooked by the camping site, so quite private.
The entire site is self generated for electricity and is one large solar panel, the water was of good pressure and temperature using the camping site washroom closely located. No issue with electricity and power charging. One of my travelling party was able to charge her e-bike battery. The price was expensive compared to B&B rates and without the breakfast, however, it does come with a well equipped kitchenette for those of a self catering disposition. On the night I stayed the inside loo had a slight blockage, doesn't come with a self contained shower so would need to use the on site washrooms nearby.
I booked the accommodation as I was party to group of campers on the site and this was the only available local alternative to B&B, nothing for miles around.
- Alderson (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (8/5): Very good - The whole cabin great design good use of space would stay again
- Rory (9/5): Overnight break. Nice location - The location A bit to close to the toilets that the campers used.
- Frances (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (1/5): Disappointing and expensive - Nothing When I booked the property the website stated that there was a toilet and private bathroom. This is very misleading as in fact there is a toilet and only the use of a communal shower which is shared with the other people on the site. This could be up to fifteenth camper vans or tents. So we had to walk about fifteen yards to the shower which as it was ventilated top and bottom would be cold if the weather had not been so hot. It also stated that hot water might be in short supply. The website now shows a plan of the pod, which was not there when I booked, but still has en-suite bathroom ticked. All very misleading and disappointing considering the cost of the stay. I have stayed in shepherds huts with en-suite showers, hot tub, barbecue, fire pit and a breakfast included for little more.
The toilet in the pod had no ventilation (window) or fan and the hand washing facilities were the kitchen sink next to the work surface used for preparing food.
The website also stated that WiFi was available but we could not log on at all as the signal was very weak.
We left after two nights of a three night stay.
- Hancock (8/5): Very good - Should have own shower, site was busy and couldn't get in only shower
- Rafal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trudie (8/5): Very good -
