• Dawn (6/5): OK but probably would not choose this property again. - Good central location but quite an uphill walk to park in one of the W zones covered by the permit. It took us a while to find a parking space and tht was not in high season. Can't imagine what it would be like in Summer! Everything is of OK standard but just a little bit basic in kit out and decor. Just didn't seem like the place was loved and that made it less inviting.

• Leanne (9/5): Everything you needed in the flat & outside, just not great for parking but moast places have the same problem - Great views, everything you needed on your doorstep We couldnt unload nearby as busy & parking was around 10mins away uphill
• duke (9/5): We had a lovely few days and will definitely be back. - Location is absolutely brilliant for us right in amongst the shops, bars and touristy things. This was our second stay at this property and hopefully we will be back again next year. There was a mix up about the previous tenants moving out and us moving in but one phone call and that was all sorted satisfactorily. The sink drains in both bathrooms could do with a drain cleaner and the freezer box in the fridge could do with a defrost. There were no hand soaps in the property just hand sanitizer. These were minor niggles though.

• Anneliese (10/5): Comfy pad in a top location. - This apartment is really well located, near the train station, a supermarket, eateries and with a stunning view of the harbour. It’s well-appointed and roomy. Nothing worth mentioning.

• Jill (10/5): As above - The Property was as described The Parking is a nightmare! We enjoyed the apartment But WOULD NOT go to Whitby again. We got 2 parking tickets one to say our permit was not placed correctly bizarre really as car had been parked in the same spot for 2 days then another to state car incorrectly parked again bizarre as car had been parked for 2 days!!! Really put us out ! Spoilt our trip. The Parking Wardens are certainly not doing your tourist industry any favours.

• lorraine (10/5): We booked months in advance to get the week we wanted as available dates get snapped up fast . - fantastic location was right in the centre of town on the harbourside. The 2 bedrooms were at the back of the building so heard no noise on a night or early morning . On entering the main building there is a lift to all floors , the outdoor balcony and entrance to the apartment all on one level and rooms in apartment all on one level so would be suitable for anybody with walking difficulties or pushchairs . The customer service from the owners was excellent . great communication , helpful and friendly . The apartment was beautiful with views over the harbour in the living room . and so clean. HAVING TO LEAVE after our holiday there but we will return

• Carolyn (8/5): - It was a lovely, easy to access apartment. Good instruction manual, full off information. Central to everything, which meant convenient to stop and drop things off or stay in for a while before venturing back out! Really good value for money. Hope to return. The parking, it would have been better to have been pre warned about it. The 24 hour parking could be considered in the overall cost, scratch card parking was quite a way off and any closer to the property, impossible to find! Thankfully it didn't detract from the overall experience which was GREAT!

• Stephen (10/5): Just loved our stay and hope to go back again - The location is perfect, overlooking the harbour. Having a lift to the 3rd floor makes it an easy to access property for anybody. There was nothing i can think of that would improve the property.

• Jacqueline (8/5): A very good long weekend right in the thick of things. - Location excelllent. Weatherspoons were next door so didnt need to cook breakfast. The apartment was a comfortable base for what we needed. There was a washing machine but no dishwasher. Personally I prefer it to be the other way round.

• Henton (8/5): Very good - Bed was comfortable, location was perfect and overall it was comfortable for 4 people Needed a good clean, lampshades cupboards dusty and covered in cobwebs, had to rush out and buy toilet rolls when we arrived as there were none provided, trying to get the access key in the dark was like a crystal maze game
• Kennedy (7/5): 50 50 opinion. - The location. it was comfertable.warm.everything you need. A great lift. On arrivale on looking round it was dusty.hair behind the doors. In the light shades are full of fluf. Side of the main bed was a used tissue. We had to get the hoover out to clean up. The sink in the on suite was blocked up and still is. No hand rails in shower. The housekeeping left a lot to be desierd. All in all i would book again though. Only one set of keys for two couples so more our less had to stick together to get back in. Ps their was no parking permit. As was in the discription to be left on the table not their we looked all over but not found. So we had to pay to park.
• Janet (9/5): Good location - Ideally located, has 2 bathrooms (one en suite) which was great as two couples staying. The lounge area is a decent size. Access to a lift, which was great for luggage. Clean and tidy and good facilities. Bedrooms are a bit small and not much storage for clothing items in the front bedroom, which was a bit of a problem when staying for a few nights. However, wouldn't stop us booking again.
• Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment, warm and cosy, really comfy beds, excellent location very central but still quiet. I'm disabled and the apartment had a lot of space as well as a lift, Getting the keys was a bit confusing because the alley was closed off so couldn't get in the way described but this wasn't the apartments fault I'm assuming it's a council thing to stop antisocial behaviour. The bathroom could do with a grab rail in the shower to be truly accessible but I'm just nitpicking, overall excellent apartment

• Sharon (5/5): Great location, with fab views! Cleanliness really lets this apartment down. - We were self catering, well equipped kitchen. Great location. Standard of cleanliness was appalling! Really let it down. The en-suite shower cubicle was disgusting! Filthy dirty, black grouting, rusty toilet roll holder. Dirty stained cups and mugs in the kitchen! When we arrived, there were folded towels on the beds which were all wet! The kettle leaked, and the bin lid was dirty!cobwebs on wall lights, and dirty carpets in bedrooms.

• Janet (10/5): Lovely apartment in a brilliant location! - Location Location Location! Can't beat it, central to everything. The beds were really comfy, and I slept like a log except for the first night cos I forgot to close the secondary glazing (gulls were soooo noisy lol). There were just two of us, so we had a bedroom and bathroom each. My sister is disabled so she had the room with the en-suite with shower. The building is served by a lift, which is what won this over for us when booking. I did contact the owners when we got to the apartment, as I hadn't read the information properly for getting in. I got a call back within minutes from Steve (I think), which was great. We would definitely recommend the apartment and would stay again. Nothing really, it's a nice apartment with everything you need. I have a couple of suggestions for improvement, but these are minor and wouldn't put me off staying again. The small bedroom is really small, and I had to navigate around the room side on to get in bed. I think it may be better to have a smaller bed, but it would impact the number of guests that can be accommodated. The dish drainer and loo roll holders are showing signs of rust so could do with replacing, along with the leaky kettle 😊

Very little noise in spite of central location. We Had a lovely long weekend break. Small issues-The main bathroom plugs weren’t draining properly, the main bathroom was acceptably clean but there was a used interdental brush on the bathroom shelf on arrival and the corners of bathroom floor were a bit grimy.

And the fact that there was plenty supply of teabags, coffee, sugar etc was a nice touch, even a full roll of kitchen towel. We stayed in December and the heating is nice and warm with control on the hall wall. Fab view from the front windows. Easily walking distance to pubs, and shops. Sofa and rug a little grubby could have been cleaned better.

• Carol (9/5): Fantastic stay, fantastic location. - Location and comfort. Everything you could possibly need. The second bedroom is too small for the size of the bed. There is no room for dressing and undressing. The blind could also do with being replaced. The door to the lounge kept sticking, and on two occasions, we actually got stuck in there. The sofa was a little shabby and could do with either replacing or being cleaned.

Beds were super comfortable and the apartment had everything you could think of. Apartment was spotlessly clean and modern. It's not easy to find an apartment with two bathrooms, so we were delighted with this find. There was even an outside terrace area which was a sun-trap later on the afternoon...... n/a

• Steven (9/5): Superb - Apartment and location were perfect. Bars, restaurants, shops, train station and attractions were all in easy walking distance. View across the harbour was very pleasant too. Apartment is very spacious and well appointed and the lift makes getting luggage to and from the 3rd floor easy. A parking permit is provided too which is great. Although there are a few compromises, they in no way outweigh the positives. Would be happy to stay in this apartment again due to its central location, fit and finish. There's no parking on site and finding a parking space is a lottery. Unloading luggage is a challenge as there's only a small area nearby to pull into which has double yellows, meaning the risk of a ticket. Entrance down a narrow alley isn't very nice - obviously used by smokers. Second bedroom is very tight for a double - door hits the bed and very little space around it with no draws for clothes; just an open hanging rail.
