Guest Reviews

- Smedley (10/5): Excellent stay. Would definitely recommend! - Lovely location close to the high street. Cottage was lovely exactly what it says 'Cosy Cabin'
- Samantha (9/5): A great stay and would definitely book again. - A cute cottage in a perfect location.
Excellent facilities and a great home from home.
- Ange (8/5): Great host, great location, lovely sheets and towels! - Host was super flexible and helpful, property itself inside really clean and convenient location. No hair dryer; crockery and glassware not clean on arrival.
- Susan (7/5): Could be perfect. - Everything you could possibly want in the kitchen. Dishwasher and washing machine, air fryer, microwave and cooker. A lot of effort has been put into this house. Was able to warm it up quickly with the thermostat being at the top of the stairs. Nicely furnished. Nice back yard with a bbq. Had to park a long way off. At least in wasn't raining.
Initially looks clean. However on picking up a cup to make a cup of tea it was dirty. Tea ring around the top. Unfortunately that started me off, I had to look closer. I would guess you are using contract/agency cleaners. Toilet seat was up. Sheets not ironed. White sheets look awful with creases. Bathroom sink is dirty and hairy! Bathroom mirror dusty and has toothpaste on it. I dont think the light fitting at the top of the stairs has ever seen a duster, same for the ceiling light in the kitchen. Fruit bowel on top of the bureau, really dusty. It's been there a while. I would guess everything is being dry wiped as it all looks like it needs a wash and some polish.
If you could get a good cleaner in there if would be perfect. This is not meant to offend. I hope it helps.
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Lee (9/5): Great stay would happily stay again - Everything was good and clean Nothing as it was clean and comfortable
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - Had a lovely stay at the Cosy Cottage. Really enjoyed using the cooking facilities. No parking space but not a deal breaker.
- Margaret (10/5): Cosy and warm and looking forward to staying again - Cosy cottage was absolutely beautiful, renovated to a high standard. It was warm and clean . The little courtyard was perfect Nothing everything was perfect
- Sharon (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed this cosy stay - Great little cosy cottage.
Good communication with David the owner who sent details for the self check in and answered my question prior to arriving about parking.
Gorgeous large log burner and wood provided.
Everything you need and we plan to come back soon. It was perfect 🥰
- Alexandra (9/5): It was a delightful cottage, and would be very happy to stay again. - It was very cosy and had all we needed as a family. Very nice kitchen and bathroom fitted. Loved having a log wood burner, and I’m sure it will be nice to use the barbecue if we stay again in the summer. Stepping straight out onto a mini roundabout was a bit awkward with dogs and luggage.
The double bed was very small for two people, but that can’t be helped because it was a small room.
- Ian (9/5): Cozy - The place itself had lots of character with beams and big features fireplace. It felt like we had stepped back in time. Well equipped kitchen and clean throughout. Great shower. A short walk into town. Would probably return. Parking was close but tricky. Could do with a bit more cutlery and another blanket in the bedrooms.
- Jane (9/5): Cosy by name and by nature. - The property, it's Cosy by name and by nature. Property has all that I and friend needed. Modern interiors with olde world feel. Clean, tidy, quiet. Location to the town. The property is a lovely old property with excellent internal alterations, the only observation is that the stairs seemed steep, but manageable.
- Rowena (10/5): Clean, comfortable and cosy. Thank you - Clean, comfortable and cosy. Although is was on a mini roundabout it was quiet when the window was closed and very quiet at night. Everything that was needed was there, apart from a bottle opener for the cider. Dog friendly, so there were spare bowls and it was easy to clean up in the paved garden (washed using the washing up bowl). Was so pleased there was no hoover as I didn't feel I had to hoover on my holiday! So important! Not the owners fault but there is no private or street parking and I hadn't spotted this until after we'd booked. It also has double yellow lines outside the house and a mini roundabout. However, we did find parking up the road, which made it difficult to cart our things to unpack/pack, up and down the hill. The shower in the bath was fantastic, but worried the screen isn't big enough and the lovely wood floor will eventually get damaged.
- Leanne (8/5): Lovely little stay - Lovely little cottage with Al the oldie quirks There is no parking, the bin was empty and felt it lacked instructions and board games would of been a nice touch that most property's have
- Jane (10/5): Lovely cottage with great hosts. We’ll be back. -
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- James (7/5): Good - Nicely renovated. Good local facilities. Lack of parking.
- Kate (10/5): Felt so comfortable and at home here. Certainly cosy! - We were only at the property for one night and didn’t use any kitchen equipment or the dining table to cook or eat.
We like the spacious living area and the whole house has been obviously lovingly restored. It was comfortable to sit in the living area to chat in the evening. And it really is very cosy upstairs! Although the bedrooms are very small, this is to be expected in a cottage called “cosy” perhaps! The double room in which we slept was a delightful room.
I like a bathroom with both a bath and a shower, which were both present. And lots of surface area to place items on. Having a little look at the kitchen facilities, there is perhaps scope to provide more cooking utensils, as one could probably cook only a basic meal.
Some advice about local parking facilities and a note about the house being located on a mini roundabout (so unable to pull up outside to drop off luggage) would be useful.
