- Sharon (7/5): Lovely stay, very helpful couple. Very nice location and a nice drive into Bath. - Lovely clean and quiet place to stay. I would prefer towels to be a lot softer, didn't enjoy drying with very stiff towels (felt more like drying with sandpaper)

- Michael (9/5): A comfortable and relaxing stay. - Spacious room with high quality fittings. Very good breakfast.
Prompt advice that I had left a small item behind. No anti-slip mat in shower had . Tiny shower gel bottles difficult to use with wet, soapy hands.
Erratic phone signal.

- Babette (9/5): Pleasant and enjoyable - Clean and modern facilities making a most comfortable stay, with good menu choices for breakfast served at your chosen times. Both friendly, welcoming and located close to many places of interest. We didn't see the house signage on the stone wall after arriving in Seend. Took us a time to locate.

The breakfasts were superb and the owners were kind enough to cater for my husband's Gluten Free diet very easily. We really couldn't fault this place in any way and the owners dog, Benson excelled in his role as chief greeter for guests! I can't think of anything.

- Mari-claire (9/5): Secluded little hideaway perfect for a weekend break. - Comfortable warm rooms with good shower Everything was great!
- Matthew (8/5): A convenient, comfortable and quiet stay ideally located for visiting the Devizes area - Whilst the property has an isolated location, we appreciated the peace that this offered. The cooked breakfast was very good, however, it was a case of quality vs quantity - again something that we appreciated. We were also grateful that despite arriving earlier than intended we were able to gain access to our room. The visit to the Barge Inn was also well worth the walk! There were issues with ventiltion to our room as due to its apparent stiffness we were not comfortable with trying to open one of the windows. There was also an issue with hot water coming from the cold tap.
- Louis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): The whole weekend, the wedding and the stay was perfect. - We were attending a wedding at Cleve House so it was a perfect location for that. It was also in a quiet picturesque location. The owners were also delightful friendly people and very informative about the area. Nothing it was a good relatively new property.
- Bret (10/5): Exceptional - Always a warm welcome from Carole, Mark and Benson the pup. The property is in a beautiful location and is largely very peaceful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well equipped and the breakfasts are very good. Nothing worthy of mention.
- Paul (10/5): Would stay again. - Great host, very accommodating.
Well situated.
Great value.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Everything 😊 Carole and Mark were fabulous hosts, along with Benson the dog Absolutely nothing!
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Anne (9/5): Good base for exploring - The room was a good size, with comfortable bed and great on-suite shower. Great breakfast choices and helpful advice from owners.
The location is central for exploring several National Trust properties and gardens.
Excellent local pub by the canal (Barge Inn) in Seend Cleeve, a short drive.
- Ruth (8/5): Very good -
- Joe (10/5): Very pleasant and comfortable - The host was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and served to me and my colleague at the time we requested.
- Iantep (9/5): Great place to stay and a short drive into Bath. Would highly recommend - The house was perfect and our hosts were so helpful with information on how to get into and around Bath and also other local places to visit. The only slightly difficult thing was finding the property initially. We drove past it twice before we saw the sign.

Close to Caen Mill locks, Lacock Abbey, Avebury Henge and the beautiful Cotswold village of Castle Combe. The ensuite twin room was very comfortable and the dog was adorable!! Parking was very easy at the property too. There was nothing we didn't like :)
- Keith (10/5): Well above expectations, you couldn’t ask for more. - Outstanding accommodation in a good location with parking on the property. - Ilona (10/5): Beautiful property, well worth a visit. - Carol, the host was lovely, nothing too much trouble. The property was exceptional, by far one of the best I've stayed in.
lovely selection for breakfast.
Beautiful views, would love to stay here again Nothing!
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (10/5): Excellent stay, loved every moment here, would certainly recommend and would stay again - Carol was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast was extremely good with a selection of things to chose from.
In the dining room you had a lovely outlook.
My room was lovely, bed very comfortable with a nice warm duvet, bathroom was very clean with small bottles of shower gel, soap etc left for use if so wanted to.
The house itself was amazing, clean and tidy with a lovely homely feel about it.
Carol has a family dog named Benson, who was adorable, who didn't 'pester' you!, he'd come and say 'hello' but then just left you alone if you didn't want to make a fuss over him. If I'm honest the only thing I didn't really like was the shower itself!
It had a 'rain forest ' shower head so was set at just one height.
I prefer a shower head that can be moved to the height I want it. But that's just my personal preference.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and tidy the host was very helpful and would definitely stay again
- Gerald (9/5): Excellent breakfast coupled with location between Bath , Newbury and Wincanton race courses. - Located between Bath, Newbury and Wincanton race courses was ideal for me as visiting them all on long weekend.
Arranged to drop my bag off and get key earlier then normal check in. Fine.
Large bedroom with tea making facilities. Nice bathroom. Excellent cooked breakfast ( See photos) Nice views from breakfast room. Different sign at entrance then on Google earth...Ha. Ha.
- Leigh (9/5): We found The Swallows to be comfortable, and clean and we were made to feel very welcome - Full breakfast was delicious. Perfectly presented. Everything we needed. We enjoyed the friendly chats with the owners who were happy to give interesting info on the area. Nothing at all
- Margaret (6/5): It was fine for a couple of nights and good value for money. - Breakfast was ok. Location was lovely but not easy to find especially at night. No signs outside the property and no street or road lighting or even a light outside the property. The bathroom let down the bedroom which was very pleasant clean and light. The bathroom looked old and tired with poor lighting.
- Jill (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (9/5): Nice break in a nice location - Excellent property, very clean and easy to find The weather!!!
- Simon (9/5): Superb - Excellent breakfast. Quiet rural location.
- Anna (9/5): Well situated and very comfortable. Would come again. - The property was in a rural position. It was warm and very comfortable. The dining room was excellent with great views and bird feeders outside and the breakfast was good too. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful and the golden retriever was lovely! Our room was a good size, the bed very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Nothing I didn’t like. Maybe could do with a larger tv and more coat hangers.
- Keith (9/5): Superb -
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Venus (10/5): Beautiful, tranquil spot for a break - We absolutely love the location of The Swallows as it is nice and quiet but close to other Seend and lots of pubs and restaurants. Carol and her husband are exceptional hosts, taking care of us and taking an interest in our house-hunting expedition. The underfloor heating was a real bonus, and the decor is so nice that I got the code for the paint used. Also can't fail to mention Benson, their gorgeous dog who accompanied us at breakfast every morning. Would have loved a bigger TV in the room, but that's a very small thing. Overall still lovely.
- Caroline (7/5): Overall reasonable good - Breakfast was good, and location was good for us, as we were seeing friends and family. The milks replenished
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (9/5): Superb -
- Piper (4/5): Disappointing - The breakfast was really lovely. Especially the sausages and bacon. Lots of parking available and easy access to the main road. Carol was friendly and welcoming and there is a good wifi signal. A lovely big shower with plenty of hot water. Unfortunately there is a smell that got to us more and more the longer we were there (4 nights). Opening the windows didn't help.
Booking.com states that housekeeping is daily, but it is not. Our room was not cleaned, or tidied (not that we were dirty!) during our stay. This wasn't really a problem apart from we would have liked the toilet and sink cleaned. Perhaps you could consider leaving cleaning provision in the shower room so that the occupants can clean it themselves if they wish.
On arrival there were crisps in one of the bedroom drawers!!
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Very good.promptly served Re Clearer sign at entrance
- Boyd (9/5): Great location. We were able to visit local villages. The host recommended a great pub for dinner. - Nice location. Very good breakfast. Lovely host. Nothing
- Julian (9/5): Superb -
- Hudson (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): Lovely place to stay, all our needs were met - Piece and quiet, beautiful location, friendly staff and lovely dog Main road, drivers drive very fast,
- Anthony (9/5): A very enjoyable stay and we will definitely return, just minor quibbles - Excellent breakfast, very quiet location with secure private parking, very clean and a friendly host. The bed was too small in our room being just a double and no divan base. Also the bathroom tap was very stiff. Pillows on bed too soft.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurence (8/5): Very good -
- Bansi (10/5): The hosts Mark & Carol were very hospitable. Mark is one hell of a funny guy & very knowledgable on the surround - Nice spacious rooms. Clean and cosy. Everything essential needed for an overnight’s stay was provided in the room including a fan and a heater. But we did not require either. Room stayed nice and warm with a cool breeze through the window. TWIN ROOM booked for this stay.
Breakfast was amazing with GF Options of a Full English Breakfast :) Nothing
- Raymond (10/5): Amazing stay - This b&b was just perfect the owner was amazing the breakfast was good and plentiful rooms very clean and the dog benson was very friendly Would have been good if there was a seating area outside because when we went it was very warm and the rooms got very warm even with all windows open there was a fan in rooms though
