• Bart (1/5): Dit is beneden alle peil! - Niks We hadden de beoordelingen beter moeten lezen op voorhand. Na 1 nacht zijn we reeds vertrokken. We hadden nochtans geboekt voor 3. Alles in het huis is vervallen. Ramen zijn vervangen door houten planken, elektriciteit hangt los, stukken karton op binnenramen geplakt, … . Daarenboven is alles vuil: servies stond vuil en vettig in de kast, menselijke lange haren op de vloer, dode insecten overal, een ruit die vol aangekoekt vuil zit, de asbak van de vorige gasten die niet eens geleegd is, tegels die loshangen op terras, verf die afbladert, … . De omgeving is helemaal niks idyllisch. Laat u niet misleiden door de foto van het groen. Wij begrijpen waarom mensen schrijven in andere beoordelingen dat ze hun fietsen niet op de auto durfden te laten ‘‘s nachts.

• Vanessa (1/5): KATASTROPHE - Wenn ich 0 Sterne geben könnte, würde ich 0 Sterne vergeben. Wir sind spät abends angereist. Ich beginne mit dem Eindruck von außen: Gebäudekomplex im Nirgendwo aus den 70ger Jahren. Sehr sehr unheimliche Ausstrahlung. Keine Ausschilderung, nichts, was auf den Namen pause nature hinweist. Die Farbe blättert von außen ab, es stinkt, die Scheiben vom Eingang sind eingeschlagen. Sehr ungepflegt. Streunende, rollige Katzen lungern in den Gängen rum. Wir gingen ins Zimmer, wollten dem Ganzen eine Chance geben. Wir haben vereinbart, dass wir eigene Bettwäsche mitbringen. Das Bett war aber noch vom Vorgast bezogen und benutzt. Es lag Ungeziefer am Boden, tot als auch lebendig. Der Boden war dreckig und der Nachtkasten fleckig. Am Bild kaum erkennbar, aber ein großer toter Käfer in der Ecke vom Schlafzimmer. Die Balkontür ließ sich öffnen, aber nicht kippen. In dem Zimmer stank es, aber uns war es zu gefährlich, die Balkontür im Erdgeschoss über Nacht offen zu lassen, nur damit man atmen kann. .. daher haben wir uns entschieden, woanders hin zu flüchten. Die Hausherrin wollten wir um 00.00 Uhr nicht mehr anrufen und belästigen, für uns war klar, wir müssen woanders hin, und dafür muss man Leute nicht nachts aus dem Bett holen. Am nächsten Tag reichten wir eine Beschwerde bei der Unterkunft und bei Booking. Com ein. Wir dokumentierten alles mit Bildern, schrieben eine ausführliche Begründung und baten um unser Geld zurück, da wir ja doppelt die Unterkunft bezahlen mussten. Unsere Bitte wurde abgelehnt, mit der Begründung, dass wir erst dort geschlafen hätten, da das Bett ja benutzt war. Dass das Bett benutzt war von unserem Vorgänger, das wollte die Dame nicht hören. Außerdem wurden wir als unglaubwürdig abgestempelt, da wir uns ja erst am nächsten Tag meldeten. Desweiteren hat die Unterkunft uns als Nichtanreise bei Booking.com gemeldet, obwohl wir eindeutig da waren, wie wir sogar auf Bildern festgehalten haben. NICHTS

• Ian (1/5): The property is unsafe, unclean, and poorly secured, and we couldn’t stay for one night. - Nothing. I am well travelled, have stayed in many properties around the world, and have never stayed in a property I felt compelled to vacate on the first day. 1 star is too many for this shabby accommodation. The property was dirty, had a strange odor, showed evidence of previous break-ins/vandalism, and was filled with hazards that would be especially dangerous for small children. The advert photos do not reflect the true state of the property. Security: On the frame of the door, there’s a shoddy DIY fix to what looks like the door being kicked in and ripping the deadlock out. To fix this, it appears management improperly installed an additional deadlock that does absolutely nothing, and the reinforcement to fix the ripped door frame looks unprofessionally done. Also, the large window on the back of the property was previous broken and put back together with tape. The overall area is rundown, poorly lit, and does not feel safe. Safety: There are exposed screws/nails sticking up beneath the kitchen counter in an open section that leads to an exposed electrical terminal, and the area is filled with all sorts of debris. This area is hidden by window blinds, but does nothing to prevent small children from entering. There are also exposed wires hanging from the light fixtures among several empty bulb fixtures. Beneath the radiator, sharp pieces of rusted metal stick up from the floor. This was another issue we were concerned about for our 1 year old child. Hygiene: We were immediately greeted by a strange smell permeating through the property. Dust and grime was built up in corners of the property, and the window sills were dirty. The shower door was also grimy. The overall appearance was grubby and not well taken care of. The only truly clean part of the property were the linens we had to pay extra for although that extra charge was poorly advertised. The property owner has refused any level of reimbursement.
