- Stav (5/5): - Location, kitchen amenities Very noisy outside at night, no soap in the bath, the water pump is very loud
- Mathieu (1/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Absolutely nothing. RUN AWAY from this place and the rude, greedy owner. This was by far the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. The apartment reeked of mold and sewage, the air conditioner was broken during a summer heatwave, and the noise levels made it impossible to sleep. It was filthy and clearly not maintained — a complete health hazard. The host was not only unhelpful but actively dishonest, trying to charge me for three nights of tourist tax even though I only stayed one night (as per Italian law, I should only have paid for the night I stayed). When I politely pointed this out, he became rude, dismissive, and stopped responding altogether. Booking.com has been contacted with full documentation, including photos, messages, and evidence of the appalling conditions. If you value your health, safety, and basic human decency, do not stay here. This place should be removed from the platform.
- Antonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Derek (6/5): Pleasant - Excellent location. Very close to all attractions by walking and easy access to public transport Location of bed terrible for anyone with mobility issues
Poor facilities for self catering which was what is was supposed to be.
Unable to speak to host on phone to clarify things
- Olga (5/5): Passable - The location is great, many restaurants in the area, quick and easy access to the central train station and to the city centre. The apartment is in an old building and has quite an exotic entrance which made us laugh and take pictures of it. There was a lot of hygienic supplies in the bathroom and a pair of ear plugs. Hot water in the shower was working perfectly well. The apartment is basically a single room which is very small. The shower has such a low ceiling that people of more than 175 cm height would need to bend their heads to take shower. The water pump is super loud so there's no chance of not waking your travel companion when using the bathroom at night. The windows unfortunately allow the street sounds in, although there was a pair of ear plugs for us to use.
When we arrived, there's been a wet towel in the bathroom that didn't match all the other towels and looked used. Maybe it was forgotten by a cleaning staff.
Also, to our taste, there's been too much scents: two sets of aroma sticks is too much for such a small apartment. Also the linens and the towels were clean but smelled of dampness.
Overall, for the price payed we expected a little bit more quality. Still, the place is ok for a night or two.
- Carmen (4/5): Disappointing -
- Carly (9/5): Superb - Great location, very cute, has everything you need for a quick trip! The owner was so kind and responsive as well! There was a mosquito that bugged me but not the hotels fault just caused some issues to me personally haha
- Clare (8/5): A cozy apartment got a short stay in Florence, conveniently located. - Great location to explore Florence.
- Nuno (9/5): Superb -
- Cormac (9/5): Superb -
- Wood (7/5): Cute and well-placed - Dario was an incredible host, and stayed up until 2am to make sure I got in ok after my flight was delayed. The property was cute, and it was just around the corner from my favourite place to visit - Capello Bracaccio, and Oltrano is a pretty cool neighbourhood. It was characterful, but not really the kind of place I’d go for - but that’s on me.
- Romina (9/5): Amazing find in Central area of Florence - Dario was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The airbnb is exactly as pictured. The location is fantastic: 5 minutes from the famous Santa Spirito bar and restaurant area. Overall, a great experience and good value for money. Not a dislike - but a few things to be aware of: (1) it's on the first floor but there's no lift. However, this is usual for Florence residential flats/houses and can't be helped. (2) The area is quite noisy given that it's close to the bars in Santa Spirito, so I'd recommend earplugs for the evening (3) The stairs to the bunk bed are quite steep and the gap between them and the bed is similarly quite large. It doesn't necessarily feel unsafe, but if you're scared of heights, this probably isn't for you.
- Josipa (9/5): 10/10 - We spent a week in this apartment and I have no complaints! It is located across the Arno river near the bridges in a peaceful street that is not crowded with tourists, but you can walk to the Duomo and other sights in the center in 15 minutes, as well the train station. There are restaurants and bars under the apartment and a grocery store nearby. 10/10 perfect location.
The apartment is small (okay for two people), but pleasantly decorated and it was a pleasure to spend days in it. It is equipped with everything, has a fan and air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, two TVs, a refrigerator... The owner is approachable, everything is easily and quickly negotiated.
I recommend this accommodation to everyone and I look forward to coming back here again! :) The ladder to reach the bed was a little bit tricky, especially when we had to climb up in the dark.
