- Charles (9/5): An enjoyable stay in a clean, comfortable property. - The apartment was clean and very well equipped. Its location close to the beach at Calahonda was excellent. It was generally very quiet. There was parking outside the apartment block although this was often fully occupied. However, it was easy to park on roads neighbouring the property. The balcony is shown well on the photographs. It was a splendid place to relax after a day's sightseeing with a great view of the sea. Ramon, the owner, got in touch when we arrived and was keen to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. This property would be unsuitable for anybody infirm; it's on the fourth floor and there is no lift. I also wouldn't recommend it for a family with young children. The balcony railings are quite low; you don't want your adventurous three-year old demonstrating his climbing skills four floors up. For a family with older children it would be ideal. The arrival could have been better. We met a lady at a supermarket on the outskirts of town who gave us the keys. I don't understand why we went to the supermarket, rather than the apartment block itself, since the keys weren't there. When we got to the right area of town it was difficult to identify the apartment. The building is clearly marked 'Las Gaviotas'; this name isn't shown on the property description anywhere. However, there is an hotel called 'Hotel de Embarcadero de Calahonda' which is close by. At first, we confused the two buildings.
