Frida (1/5): It is unacceptable, the property shall not be advertised for booking on booking.com at all!!!!! - There is nothing I like about it. I have not managed to get into contact with the host via booking.com messages, e-mail, phone calls or SMS. I have not managed to get into the property. I finalized my booking at hyper centre on 20th May 2024. I also paid the full price of it at the same time. 3 days before my planned arrival, on Thursday, 11th July 2024 I initiated contact with the property about the details of my arrival. Until the day of my planned arrival: - I sent altogether 7 messages via the booking.com app and e-mail using 3 different languages: English, French and German - without any response. I haven't received any responses ever since. - I initiated altogether 7 phone calls on the given number - none of them was ever answered. After a certain time my calls were immediately directed to leave a message. I have not been called back ever since. - I also sent an SMS to the phone number in French. Also no answer ever since. As I have not received any response from the property in any ways until the date of my planned arrival (and actually until being asked to rate after the planned stay) I suspected that there was no real accommodation behind the booking. I have initiated a free cancellation of my booking in the app, for which I have very shorty received the answer: not possible. On the day of my planned arrival I booked at another property in the area for the same period (with proper communication before my arrival), where I have actually stayed. I have visited the street during my stay where hyper centre is written to be, without a house number (Rue de l'Eglise Catholique, 1820 Montreux, Switzerland), but I have not managed to find the property by simply looking at the houses in the street. I want to get back my money I paid in advance for the booking, as I finally have not stayed at the property at all.
