- David (9/5): Cosy and clean, with friendly and responsive host. - I’ve been staying here for monthly work trips in the area and it’s been perfect. Cosy, clean and warm without and fuss. Great area for a walk or run but also nice and close to most things you’ll need.
- Jennifer (1/5): READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BOOK - I booked here thinking I was going to get a private and secure place to stay. LOOK AT THE REVIEWS.
-There are no locks on the doors.
-It is written clearly to the public where the front door key is kept (not in a key safe or equivalent)
This poses risks regarding the privacy and safety of those who wish to stay here.
1. Anybody could access the property at any time.
2. Other guests can access your room at anytime.
There will be sharp sentences regarding this being her home, however, as a guest who is paying to stay at a property, I expect a catch on the door at the very least.
I take my safety as a priority, even if the host does not.
There was mention of kitchen facilities (picture attached). My friend and I were there for an expensive weekend, we wanted to mitigate costs by preparing our own meals. Turns out this is a kettle or if you strike it lucky, you’ll get the room with a fridge. When I queried this I was told that it wasn’t stated anywhere and she can leave a microwave but we have to carry it around and she wants nothing to do with it - bazaar.
Then there’s the whole issue surrounding her personally items being in the rooms. Sorry, I do not want to share a wardrobe with you, I am a clean person and who knows if your jumpers are popped in there for a second wear, or how long they have been stored. OR for that matter, should you wish to pop in whilst I am sleeping. After all, the emphasis of it being your home first, and guests privacy being second is a repeating feature.
I didn’t actually stay here because when going through the reviews, the host comes across as quite aggressive, does not have security or privacy respect for guests and is “quite creepy” (this is written in a few reviews). So no, I’m not going to ruin my weekend with behaviours that should not even be apparent by a host.
I requested a refund from booking.com, who agree that I should be entitled to a secure room with privacy.

- Jones (4/5): - It was not a hotel, but somebodys home. Although a very nice house it was not what i expected or wanted. Bed too soft. Used soap in bathroom. Towels almost unusable as they did not dry you. Tv did not work propetly. No lock on room.
- James (10/5): Wonderful - Clean and friendly Nothing
- Steve Herridge (8/5): - Friendly, homely place.
Very near to bus services and fast food outlets. Biscuit would've been nice with the tea😀😀

- Susan (10/5): - Lovely clean room with good facilities.
Our host was very friendly and helpful.
- Mariam (4/5): It was a quiet place to stay, however, not for us - It was clean Could not lock our own bedroom door
Nowhere to hang your clothes
Very, very small TV
Had to walk across the landing to get to the bathroom not good
Thankfully, the other couple did not have a car as there was only one car space
Yes, there was very limited tea and coffee. No option to have anything else. For another £20 we could’ve had a hotel with the option of having breakfast.
- Simon (10/5): - Quiet, convenient and had everything that I needed, plus a small fridge.
- Steven (10/5): Quiet peaceful comfortable after long work days -

- Daniel (10/5): Clean and comfortable.. - Angela was lovely
- Royston (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brad (7/5): Telford - Room was comfortable. Unfortunately due to our jetlag we never met the host. This felt very awkward going into someone's house without meeting them. Towels were small and old.

- Lee (9/5): Superb -
- James (9/5): Superb - The house was beautiful, very clean and a lovely location I wasn't able to lock my room as the front door key was left under the door mat, I didn't understand why as there was a lock box on the porch . Apart from this it was a lovely place
- David (8/5): Very good -

- Lukasz (8/5): Very good -
- Christopher (4/5): It's probably okay for just a quick overnight stay, any longer and I would recommend getting a diffe - No breakfast on site as this property is someone's house. The house owner was on you in a flash, the minute you walk out of your room she is there (scary)
No food is available because it's just someone's house, so you need to travel to eat.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- David (5/5): Looked good on the description but all is not what they say.. - Booked this for my parents for a nearby wedding. The place is a family home. And the owner requests them to take shoes off when you arrive my parentsare in there 70,s , so up and down the stairs is not safe, no facilities !!!
And they definitely felt there was no privacy..
- Holly (8/5): Brilliant host & location. Just missing a lock! - Lovely location, quiet, beautiful room. Host was fabulous, couldn’t ask for a more lovely host & area. The lack of lock on room door - even if small latch lock, would have made it feel more private and secure.
- Josephine (9/5): Angela was a lovely lady and couldn’t do enough for us, would highly recommend! - Lovely house and room and everything was very clean and tidy.
- Sophie (9/5): Superb - Comfy clean rooms Difficult to find
- Samantha (8/5): The host was welcoming, room very pleasant with all basic facilities available - It was good value for money and in the right location Maybe a breakfast option would be nice, even self service, ie continental
- Peter (9/5): Superb - As expected. Failed to recieve e mail with additional information. Not proprieters responsibility.
- Sally (1/5): Bad - Location how quiet it was Owners as quite rude we stayed for two nights asked Owen first morning for some milk and sugar for room she then made a remark as she wasn't happy id asked later that day my partner asked for directions to help us find a shop Owner huffed and said she didn't expect us to just stay in the room n said that she hadn't got her own stuff done because we stayed in directions from her to find a shop was coming across from her abruptly and given us wrong directions resulting in us then getting lost and member of public then having to Help us couldn't find shop wasn't given no more milk for a drink so had to go with out ...no lock on bedroom door Owen kept knocking n just opening door wasn't allowed to use Cubard or drawvspase as it had all the owner clothes in our room so could even unpack not happy definitely wouldn't recommend or Go again was unpleasant and the price was ridiculously expensive for nothing
- Vladyslav (1/5): Bad -
- Rinomhota (9/5): A very pleasant short or medium staying place, secluded and quiet, clean with most facilities one needs. Hospitable host - The host/staff was very hospitable, helpful and friendly. We chatted a few times. The environment is exclusive and very quiet. Great to have a Microwave and a small fridge which you font get is some hotels. Not much. My room was ensuite which was great.
