Guest Reviews
- philip (8/5): Excellent holiday in Llandudno we really enjoyed the apartment which was perfect for our short stay. - Excellent location just a stones throw from the pier and centre of Llandudno. Apartment was clean, well equipped and good value for money. Also good that there was on site parking as the on street parking can get full quickly. As is often the case with holiday lets there was no proper set up for dealing with recycle waste. There was guidance there but no bags/bins or facilities to recycle all the recyclable waste so everything just ended up in the general waste.
Also the sofa was broken and the ends kept falling over.
- Shirley (10/5): - quiet location, close to everything
- Sian (10/5): Amazing and beautiful - Wow… just wow Nothing bad
- Andrew (8/5): - Very clean and spacious apartment - kitchen complimentary biscuits were lovely and (unexpectedly) it was stocked with tea, coffee, sugar and cooking condiments. The pillows on the bed were very flimsy and the settee was uncomfortable.
- Stephen Huntbach (9/5): -
- Corinne (10/5): Lovely apartment! - A lovely apartment! The beds were exceptionally comfortable. Car parking is such a bonus and a great location.
- Maria miranda (10/5): - Sensacional
- Ben (10/5): -
- John (10/5): Excellent - Apartment was very clean, spacious and well laid out, hosts were helpful. My only tiny criticism is the sofa is very low to the ground and it’s not easy for someone with movement disabilities to get up from, I have arthritis in my knee and found it quite difficult.
- Sara (8/5): We were happy with our choice of apartment for out 3 day stay. - It was modern and clean and spacious. Comfy beds. Great position in Llandudno. Off street parking. Well equipped. Lovely help with the tv via text when I could not get it working. Thank you The seating looked very impressive but was not comfy at all, not relaxing. The hallway was grubby and smelt. The flat was very clean.
- Samson (10/5): - Inside was very nice and very comfortable new shower and new washing machine 👌
- Nicola (8/5): Great location. - Location was perfect for us. The washing machine didn’t work. It was reported to the owner so hopefully it will be sorted for next guests.
- VANESSA (6/5): Lovely property, poorly maintained. - Lovely period house, good location, spacious rooms, nice decor. Tea, instant coffee, sugar & biscuits on arrival but no milk. Comfy beds. Asked for another 1-2 hours on checking out as 10am is very early for a check out & to load up our car. This was allowed “graciously” due to the broken washer etc. No instructions for boiler, heating, TV etc. Fortunately we have technical careers & can work things out ourselves, but that information should be available to all guests. We had to turn on the boiler & heating as the temperature dropped to 10c outside, (end September).
Building & painting being carried out resulting in noise & paint smells inside. Only positive is the builders were really helpful & gave us advice on the area & helped out.
Broken washing machine, coffee maker, no bowl or ice tray. Had I known I would have brought my own I had previously asked about the coffee machine & bought the correct pods wasting money.
Sofa broken arm rest & no back to 3rd seat, very low seats. No curtains. When we reported the washing machine & broken coffee machine we were asked “can it be repaired, what time will you be back so we can get the builders to look at it? “ we had already spent 30 mins trying to get it working. Although the owners said they didn’t know about the broken items the washing machine was turned off at the socket behind on the wall.
Shower terrible, tiny surround, base very slippery banging elbows washing hair, water too hot, too cold then trickling ,dangerous.
No towel ring, loo roll holder or towel rails or hooks on door in bathroom. No toiletries (per picture). No storage in bathroom only window sill, no loo roll. Dirty towels with black & other marks on.
No curtains in any rooms so light comes through nets & roller blinds in mornings, we all took eye masks. No shelves or drawers in bedrooms only 2 clothes rails.
Door handle to bedroom 2 hanging off, fell off & we had to reattach it just before checking out.
- Anne (9/5): Shower needs up dating. Very small. Lacks of drawers on double bedroom.
Pillow protectors needed - Plenty of space and modern interior. Lacks kerb appeal. Entrance and stairs looked neglected but everything was fine in the apartment.
- Rachel (8/5): A clean and comfortable apartment in an ideal location to access all Llandudno has to offer. - We loved the location of the property which was easy to access and that it had free parking available. The apartment was clean with comfortable beds and had everything you need for a short break. There was nothing we didn't like, however small improvements we feel would be useful are as follows -
Blinds up at the windows in the lounge.
Information on how to work the TV for those like myself who are not technical.
The entrance into the property was dirty and unkempt, however the apartment itself was very clean and tidy.
- Suzanne (10/5): Lovely place to stay - The Moorings was a lovely apartment. It is situated close enough to the pier, promenade, beach, shopping street, bars etc. but not too close for the night life to disrupt sleep. The off street parking is a bonus as the streets around Llandudno seemed very busy with cars parked either side. The property was in a lovely area which got me looking at the history of the old Victorian houses along the road. The apartment had two spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds and plenty of pillows and cushions. There was a good sized fridge freezer for all of our food for our stay. Lots and lots of cushions on the sofa! The apartment was nicely decorated and clean.
- Christian (8/5): Excellent. We had a lovely time. Great value 😊 - Excellent location. Good size bedrooms with comfortable beds. Good WiFi. Nice decor. Nice touch with the welcome pack of biscuits 😊. And helpful host. The shower cubicle was a bit tight. Larger sized people will definitely struggle. The exterior of the property and hallway both let this place down. Both underwhelming and a bit scruffy unfortunately.
- Bogdan (5/5): - I rated the apartment as average, as it was spacious and tidy. However, the appearance of the building, the size of the parking lot, the stench in the stairwell, and the cramped shower cubicle left much to be desired. I got the impression that the sheer number of pillows was intended to compensate for these shortcomings and inconveniences.
- Rowland (8/5): - The flat is in a great location. It has been tastefully decorated and had lovely ornaments, pictures and mirrors. The flat was exceptional clean and is very very comfortable. Lots of cushions and throws to support this. The beds are devine and all our party slept really well. The view from the living area is fantastic, looking onto the great Orme. Checking in was easy and there was a delicious box of biscuits on the table to welcome us. We did have to contact the host with some questions and the response was always very quick.
Lovely soft fluffy towels were a bonus as well. Having a parking space was a great bonus. There are a few issues which need attention, the main one is the shower. There is some damage to the cubicle but the main problem was the water pressure and temperature. The pressure is so low you feel that you haven't been able to rinse properly but more worrying is the temperature can go from warm to freezing or boiling without notice. We did contact the owner who responded with some suggestions but unfortunately none actually worked. There are a few little tweaks needed, the tops on the taps in the bathroom are the wrong way round. The catch on the key box is broke and difficult to press with arthritic fingers. The place feels a little unfinished.
A couple of things beyond the owners control is the outside area and the smell of canibis being smoked in one of the other flats.
- Hannah (6/5): Great location and nice decor but very grubby in places and lots of broken things like door handles. Was ok but needed s - Great location. Space in the flat and overall decor nice. Good sized bedrooms. Good parking availability. Lots of things broken like door handles and shower door for example. Not very clean. No key was in the box on arrival so caused delays getting into the property. No curtains only blinds meant it was very light and hot during the evenings. Hallway entrance very dirty and horrid smell on arrival. Requested a cot and highchair so expected them to be set up in the room ready however I had to get them myself.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (7/5): Good spacious flat in great location. Value for money. - On the whole, this was a great stay.
Brilliant location close to town.
Parking in front of the building.
Easy to get keys from lockbox.
Very spacious rooms, care taken to present them nicely. Spacious room with two single beds and the double bedroom is large. Beds were comfortable.
Generous provision of towels and pillows.
Thought gone into providing what guests might want. Large fridge freezer, iron and ironing board, many glasses, cushions.
Large table for eating around (hard chairs though!) and sufficient comfortable seating on sofa/armchair for four people.
Free wifi was good.
Owner contacted us by phone immediately after our stay for feedback (and to push for good review 🙂).
Noted: we rearranged the kitchen/living area so the tv was more easily visible and not opposite window as reflecting sun made it hard to watch otherwise - suggest some window blinds? We are being picky here - it was a good flat and we would probably use it again.
Main issue was shower which was not great - taps coming off wall, damage to side. Plus poor pressure and variable flow meant we avoided washing hair etc. Definitely needs work/replacing!
Sadly there was rubbish and rotting food outside in shared driveway (not the flat owner's fault, but not enjoyable)
Bathroom sink hot and cold taps incorrectly labelled.
TV not on WiFi when we arrived so we couldn’t make it work. Only the computer boffin with us was able to get it going by connecting his own laptop. We left it working.
Beds were comfy but the pillows rustled a lot!
- Sian (10/5): Incredible… we will be back - Everything it was absolutely stunning and the best location Door handles all need fixing as screws where loose but that’s minimal
- Samantha (8/5): Very good - Good location. Keys easy to access. Apartment lovely. Beds comfy. Everything you could want. Shared corridor, which did feel untidy. Musty smell but expected from shared spaces. Bit like student accommodation. Once get in apartments a very different experience.
- Karen (7/5): Enjoyed my stay . Just external appearances. - The location was quiet, inside the apartment was nicely furnished and clean.
Bonus having car parking as the streets are always full. The outside and entrance to the property needs tidying and cleaning . Once inside property it is lovely .
Shower is bit small considering space in bathroom
- Jack (10/5): Very essential stay in a fabulous flat - Very spacious immaculate and tastefully decorated. Very convenient to the centre of the town. Would recommend to anyone. Nothing
- Lewis (2/5): Very disappointed - Not much It was a shit hole dirty all round very disappointed how it's on your website I don't no
