- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Peace and quiet
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - Everything excellent place to relax and unwind totally awesome place view of horse sheep and hens facilities were brilliant and excellent host Gillian local produce for breakfast and the most comfortable bed. You can even walk to it by going through Tyne Green Park . Nothing I did not like.
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - lots of provisions, well thought out and very high quality all excellent
- Lynnette (8/5): Lovely shepherd hut with beautiful horses and chickens to greet you. Gillian is a wonderful host and there was everythin - Lovely welcome from Gillian and the chickens. Quirky and well equipped shepherds hut, very cozy with the stove lit. Some noise from A69 and railway
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional - What a wonderful place and owners. The wife and myself enjoyed a couple of nights here and what a treat. If your after getting away from it all, with maybe a walk and a good book then this is the place for you. Everything is on hand and available, so you will want for nothing and can come and go as you please. Was lovely seeing the horses and chickens in the morning after a lovely nights sleep as you sit outside eating breakfast and drinking a morning coffee.....missing it already There was nothing not to like.
- Gary (8/5): Met all our expectations re: accommodation but a pity the weather scuppered the reason we came. - The hut was lovely, if slightly on the compact side, but then we always bring too much stuff. A couple of coat hooks might be good and a pull out set of steps for more elder folk [my wife] to access the bed area. That said, it was the most comfortable bed I've slept in anywhere apart from my own one at home. It really suited as we could come and go as we pleased, Gillian and James were very good hosts. It was so damp and chilly, even for July that we lit the stove, and it was remarkably efficient. We just loved the free range chickens, despite not finding any freshly laid eggs! Gary and Amanda. Only the minor points in the text above. Really nice indeed.
- Michael.harris22041964 (9/5): Weekend in a Shepherds Hut, near Hexham - Quite, peaceful location. Easy access to local attractions. Would fully recommend and would visit again! Would have been nice for a blind on the door windows, rather than having to close the bed curtain
- Liam (10/5): Perfect quiet peaceful getaway. - Perfect location for a quiet getaway. Really helpful hosts. We will definitely be staying again as it’s perfect for getting away from the rest of the world to enjoy each other’s company.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hanna (10/5): Fanstastic! Was everything we was looking for and was well looked after - It was very aesthetically pleasing and cozy There was nothing we didn’t like about the property
- Lisa (9/5): A lovely, cosy hut in beautiful surroundings with great guest service. - This hut was immaculate and clutter free. The finishing touches of the copper pipe rail, handles in the bathroom and the Kilner lamps gave it a lovely, cosy, vintage feel. The bed was really comfortable.
The outside area was fab. We had a lovely night by the fire pit and breakfast overlooking the lush fields watching the animals.
A truly fab find in a great location to explore Hexham and Hadrians Wall. We would have a liked a place to put toiletries in the bathroom. A little shelf or toothbrush holder.
