Nice big bath towels and under tile heating in the bathroom were nice extra touches. The lounge was comfortable to have a coffee and read on. The room is nice and dark with the curtains closed. A very easy 1km walk to the centre of the CBD. The pillows weren't great. I would bring my own next time.

Just a suggestion - a few plates and cutlery for a takeaway would be a helpful addition, although we only had to ask and they were provided.

• Fae60 (10/5): Luxury experience - We stayed in the old section of the hotel. The room was really spacious with a separate sitting room area. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was also big - the shower was fantastic. This is a true luxury experience. Yes, it’s not cheap, but with breakfast included it is actually good value. There is a nice pub across the street and a good Italian restaurant around the block. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Nothing.

Bed was comfortable, had very good nights' sleep. The bathroom was also very roomy, good hot water pressure in shower. • Stacey (10/5): 10/10 Fabulous - There is NOTHING NOT to like at this property. Beautifully restored , amazing art work and furniture. So many quirky ornaments. With area outside our room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the courtyard, plenty of comfy lounges and chairs to just sit and watch the fireplace or find a book to read was a plus, didn’t feel like you were confined to your room. Then there is the restaurant, again beautiful decor and breakfast was amazing. The gentleman on reception was very friendly and knowledgeable.

The location was amazing and just a short walk to the main drag where there are ample shops and restaurants that we visited. Also a really close drive to all the wineries we went to visit. Nothing!

Also we found excellent restaurants within a block of our accomodation. My husband found a boutique brewery with some excellent beers on offer. We really enjoyed our trip to Orange. Not one thing I could even nit pick at to try and find something not up to an exceedingly high standard. The fact here is this there truly is nothing not to like. I mean, there was one thing I didn't like... That was the fact that I was not able to stay longer!

The changes to the original house impressive I loved the dining room curtains! - Terrific We booked the limited ability room but changed to the standard which was a lovely room and lacked only a grab rail in the shower! However I was glad we brought a non slip mat with us as the bathroom floor tiles were a bit slippery when wet. The coffee plunger was a a treat and perhaps it is greedy to have felt some free sweet biscuits might have been included. It was very hot while we were there and everyone must regret the lack of double glazing in the entrance foyer - the glass round the entrance door was too hot to touch, Screening of the glass down the corridor was very effective.

The room was very spacious with a beautiful decor, it was very clean, the bed was comfortable and we had our own deck which was lovely to sit out on.
