Beautiful character of home Storage unit in bedroom makes it almost impossible to get into the toilet room

- Aodan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fanny (3/5): Poor - The property lacks internet service, which is problematic to us.
- Paula (7/5): Good - The casa was nice. However we lost power for an amount of time when we were cooking dinner. We were unable to finish cooking. That was a bit disappointing. I know it’s not the owners fault but it still affected our stay
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): A gem, modern elegance and a great host. - The apartment was perfectly situated and renovated. The local restaurants were closed for dinner in early March.
- Dean (9/5): Superb - Beds were very comfortable The WiFi did not work.
- Allan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaine (10/5): Beautiful apartment in Oia. - Beautiful apartment in Oia. It was well-equipped and organised. Check in was easy and convenient. Highly recommend. Nothing.
- Wendy (9/5): Superb - Close to the coastal Camino route, very nice apartment.
- Libby (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (10/5): Small town meets contemporary comforts. - Casa Arrabal was so beautiful, well remodeled and comfortable for our party of 3 walking the Camino. The beds are memory foam. The key box was hard to open. Luckily every single person walking on the street helped us. Saturday nights expect a boisterous crowd right outside at the local restaurants.
- Sharon (9/5): Great stay in a cute little place in Oia - I love that it was right in the city and it was easy walk to this crate restaurant and to walk around town The owners were not there when I arrived, but that’s OK. They left the key out for me and they did not speak a lot of English, but that’s
- Paco (9/5): Superb -
- Melody (10/5): Excellent for Camino walkers! - The unique way they used the space ! And excellent location right off the Camino
- Aixa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (10/5): Historic, lovely, comfortable flat on the Camino or for holiday - I loved this little casa! It was one of my favorite holiday apartment rental experiences in memory. If you are doing the Camino Portuguese da Costa, make this a stop! Or if you just love beautiful historic beach towns, choose this one.
Starting with the fast, friendly communication with the host, and easy key box check-in. The little casa is in a renovated building right in the historic town center, previously associated with the big medieval Monastery within view. The walls are a few hundred years old, but the interior has been smartly renovated with modern conveniences, and uses the small old space in a perfectly sensitive and lovely way. It’s clear that architecture and design were a priority in this rebuild and I really appreciated that.
There are two bedrooms on two floors, each with directly attached toilets and showers enclosed in a very efficient and smart way. (Note: if you are two or more people who want separate bedrooms and bathrooms, choose to book the whole space rather than just half.) The three-way showers had great pressure and plenty of hot water, which was much appreciated after a long day on the Camino. The beds have memory foam mattresses and pillows, making for the best night of sleep we had in Spain, by far.
WiFi was decent, and there were helpful local resources in the apartment. There was even a Camino stamp!
There isn’t laundry in the flat, but the host was kind enough to direct us next door to a coin operated lavanderia which was honestly a good and easy laundry experience for €8, and a good way to pass time before the restaurants open for dinner.
This was such a comfortable, lovely place to experience this beautiful part of Spain, I would recommend it to anyone and definitely hope to return. We didn’t need the small kitchen, but if we had stayed longer we noticed a few things are missing (like wine glasses.) And, if the space is actually split and rented separately, I think the downstairs is missing a trash receptacle. But honestly everything was good.
- Jens (8/5): Very good -
- Bridget (10/5): The apartment was perfect. A great stay except for the luggage debacle. - No breakfast included We were reliant on the host answering her phone as this was the means of contact for our luggage being carried forward. Rather, We had to pay 30euros for a taxi to pick up our luggage as the courier company was unable to contact the host.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Khanh (10/5): Exceptional - We had an excellent stay here. The property is well renovated and very nice. It was a splurge for us but well worth it. We forgot something important behind after checkout and Casa Arrabal were very kind to return it to us the following day, in a different town. For a group of four in Oia, you cannot do better than this property!
- Ceenie (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous house..beautifully restored..spotless clean..very comfortable beds..great shower..crisp white sheets and towels. and great location for Camino..would be great for a rest day if needed..really quiet at night..a real treat to stay here..there wete 4 of us so able to book whole house or could book for 2 and share kitchen.. Loved everything about this house
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful room with private bathroom right on the camino. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need.
- Subin (10/5): Great place! - Great location if you are starting Camino de Santiago on the Portuguese way in Oia. Host was very easy to communicate with. The place was perfect.
- Graeme (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beth (9/5): Superb -
- Areti (9/5): Superb - The accommodation is literally on the Camino , so pilgrims will appreciate this a lot!!
An old stone house, fully renovated and the host , even he didn’t speak English , he did his best to fulfill our needs! the place , OIA , very very expensive and with no good attitude to the pilgrims. Not even at the tourist office… What a disgrace! Considering that their income is mostly from the pilgrims!
- Heather (9/5): Good for Camino Travelers - Great location, clean, good coffee/tea service and nice snacks. Owner was very responsive. Good shower. Nice, modern decor. Best sunsets from square. No bottled water for guests on arrival. Only one roll of toilet paper/ no Kleenex and one towel. Window opens on street level.
I had downstairs apartment and did not know I was sharing common areas with strangers upstairs.
Room was stuffy and warm at end of May.
- Tracy (10/5): This beautiful apartment had everything that we needed. 😳 - Casa Arrabal is a beautiful apartment located close to the Camino and close to the beach.
- Yambing (8/5): Very good - No WiFi
- Janne (10/5): Very comfortable apartment in historic building with everything we needed. - Beds were extremely comfortable, spacious room and great shower. Nothing.
- Linda (10/5): Great location on Camino - Great location right on the Camino. Excellent communication with the host re check in and bag transfer.
Highly recommend
- Edward (8/5): Everything was fine with one exception. - The location was perfect - on the Camino Portuguese trail. The rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. The shower on the lower level was difficult to use given I am 6 feet tall and weigh 185 pounds. The shower door needs to swing out! Once in, the shower worked fine.
- Peggy (8/5): Loved the place but needed more information on where to purchase food and options for breakfast. Also provide more coffe - Loved the apartment, small bedroom but charming and comfortable. Check in was easy. Location was good Would have been nice to have suggestion for breakfast, the one provided was not open. Also would be nice to have known where a store was to purchase items for breakfast. Unfortunately when we figured out where a store was,it wasn’t open in the afternoon when we arrived or the next morning.
- Lisa (8/5): Location was perfect for exploring town during our short visit; overall it was a great stay! - The location was great and the room and bed comfortable. The owner was very friendly and concerned about our comfort.
the common kitchen/living area was convenient and we had it to ourselves the night we were there. The bathroom was not exactly separate from the bedroom, so not a lot of privacy. Not a big issue for us but could be for some people.
- Jenelle (10/5): I highly recommend this cute guesthouse! - Property is so cute, everything you need! Very comfortable bed and room. The property is excellent! The old heritage area is limited for restaurants but there is a great taxi service to get you into Oia for dinner.
- France (8/5): Very good - The location. The house is nice. Some coffee and little cakes where left for us( no breakfast provided). There was a kitchen but we didn't use it for dinner( good restaurant nearby). Very quiet area. We are, as a couple, used to sleep in a bigger bed so it was more challenging to be comfortable to sleep.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - I like the staff, place and beach..
- Barbara (10/5): Very enjoyable - Directly en route and the owner was helpful. The property is split and I had downstairs which is lockable and was very fresh and modern. All good
- Rev (7/5): Comfortable and pretty room - It was right on the Camino path and the bedroom was beautiful. Only a short walk to town. The bathroom was old but clean we hoped to relax and have a bath after a day walking but it was not comfortable ( there are rough non slip strips in the bottom of the bathtub) and there was not enough hot water. We had selected the room as we thought a bath would be good after a long day walking.
- John (10/5): Really great place to stay - Right on the Camino.
It was a beautifully renovated cottage with 2 bedrooms one on ground floor and the other in basement - with a kitchen /sitting room on ground floor.
The toilet, shower and sink were in the bedroom - rather than en-suite - but possible to give privacy by sitting in kitchen/sitting room.
All well furnished with lots of cooking utensils - microwave and cooker. It was damp initially - but I think stone cottages tend to be - beside the sea - plus the appalling weather we have had for the last couple of weeks.
However the rooms soon dried up with the 2 heaters.
- Jitka (9/5): Trail Camino - Perfect accommodation on the Camino route, comfortable bed, good accommodation facilities. Coffee, tea available. Communication with the host without any problem
The size of the room is enough to indicate, combined with a shared kitchen it is perfect. Nothing to complain about
- Bev (9/5): Superb - The building.
- Bary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (10/5): Enjoyable , relaxed and I was looked after well . - Great location , lovely room , easy access , very helpful manager / owner . Coffee & cake breakfast lovely and served with style and attention to detail breakfasts being offered . 😊
- Rob (8/5): Beautiful apartment, very central and quiet. On the Camino route. - Beautiful apartment, very well decorated and equiped. Great use of space. Very central and quiet. On the Camino route. Toilet is in the bedroom.
- Luisa (10/5): Súper cure, clean and updated property - What an incredible and enchanting property! This place has two units that share a kitchen/seating area.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and very nicely planned to best utilize space. Bathroom is right in the room, but the diving wall for the shower gives it a little privacy.
Location was incredible and a few steps from restaurants and bar.
Right off the Camino
- Bruce (10/5): Great stop on the Camino - Near the Camino. A very interesting structure beautifully modernized. Had everything we needed including laundromat next door. The town was so quaint.
- Cecelia (8/5): Very good -
- Jacobus (8/5): Very good - Modern chic renovation of old building There was no milk in fridge and the coffeemaker apparatus difficult.
Wifi not reliable due to thick stone walls, I had to walk outside house to get connection
- David (10/5): Delightful historic house in lovely village - Historic but modernised, beautiful with everything one could want Liked it a lot
- Kelly (9/5): Cool old building with a modern interior - Very stylish, with a lot of amenities I would have liked a fan. A little hot.
- Rosaleen (10/5): Exceptional - Great location.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Ewa (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, very clean apartment in old building. Everything was fantastic.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lissette (9/5): Superb -
- Caleb (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (10/5): One of my best decisions! Simple but perfect. - This was one of the best places I stayed on my Camino walk! I was supposed to stay somewhere else that night but I had to change reservations the night before. What a great decision. I just wanted a quiet, clean place to relax (I had a bit of sunstroke) and this was everything I could asked for. It was cool, dark and right around the corner for a cafe that served delicious seafood. There was also a laundromat next door that allowed me to do some laundry.
I was very pleased! Some coffee and maker
- Sena (9/5): Superb -
- Barbora (9/5): Superb - It was cozy and very nice - overall decoration and athmosphere. Very clean and great communication with stuff via messages. The light from the street and it was quite hot inside.
