Guest Reviews
- Joanna (10/5): The perfect Exeter stop over. - The most wonderful helpful and welcoming hosts. Thank you so much Trevor and Mary for having us last minute in your beautiful home. Having outside space with the setting sun was really special. We will be back! Nothing!
- Joe (10/5): Amazing host, couldn’t have been any more helpful. I was going into hospital early in the more so got a train down. The - Great location and has everything you need. Nothing
- Olivier (10/5): Very cool 😎 - Very kind persons in a quiet area N/A
- BC (10/5): It was like a second home. - We were welcomed like old friends. Mary made us a cup of tea while Trevor showed us the facilities. It was really a home from home and far more than we expected. The beds were comffortable. We left a chill autumn evening and entered a warm house. It is good to find somewhere that we would like to return to when next in the area.
Very well done for an exceptional short stay.
- Toby (10/5): - Trevor and Mary could not have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. I had a very comfortable week.

- Palade (9/5): It was an wonderful stay ! - The location was excellent situated in walking distance from the Quay and Exeter Cathedral. The accomodation exceeded our expectations in terms of confort , cleanliness, facilities and hospitality. The host, Trevor was simply wonderful, very helpful and treated us with utter respect and went above and beyond to make our stay a joy.
The facilities are more than you would expect with access to a beautiful garden enjoying the tranquility of the location and the homely warmth of the accomodation. I felt that I was at a retreat place. I highly recommend this location and its host , Trevor. What an wonderful stay we had !! Thank you Trevor& Mary

- A (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rita (10/5): Simply the best. - From start to finish my friend and I couldn’t have asked for more. Trevor and Mary the hosts did everything to make our stay a memorable one and went above and beyond. The accommodation was clean, fresh and great facilities. Everything was perfect for us two but if I had to offer anything it would be the position of the tv. Had to crock our necks to watch from the bed. If the tv could be angled one way or other we could have sat on one bed and watched in comfort.
- Jeremy (8/5): Very good -
- Jim (9/5): Superb -
- Sonya (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything about our stay, it was perfect.
Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable.
The extra little touches that were there we loved.
We were so warm and cosy at night.
The kitchen area was fantastic and never stopped anywhere that was so thoughtful with what we had for a snack and drinks.
Trevor was so helpful and gave us such a warm welcome.
We have been in lots of b&b over the country as we love weekends away etc but this is by far the best b&b we have stayed in and will definitely be going back.
I cannot recommend Quay central enough if you are visiting Exeter it's amazing value for money
Thank you so much
Sonya & Darren .

- Rachael (10/5): The hosts went out of their way to ensure we felt looked after. - Just a one night stay but felt like home from home with a lovely garden area. Would have definitely stayed longer and would recommend. I would have liked a bed side shelf/table to put my drinking water and phone.
- Yalin (10/5): Exceptional - Trevor and Mary are helpful , hospitable and amazing. The house is lovely and relaxing, makes us feel like home. Nothing. Everything is good.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Malcolm (10/5): So glad we booked it, thanks Mary and Trev. - The Location was a surprise, but an excellent one. Mary and Trevor were delightful and helped us all the time, even
taking us to a restaurant and picking us up afterwards. We had everything we needed and wanted and we would return
if passing this way. Also we will mention it to our colleagues. Nothing needed to be done.
- Sally (9/5): Really friendly hosts, clean and pleasant property. Slept well no complaints. - Hosts were warm and very welcoming.
Property was very clean and tidy and well maintained.
The host provided milk, bread jam and butter,
Great location just a short pleasant walk from the quay with its restaurants and shops. The layout is a little quirky with the toilet away from the shower room.
- Malcolm (10/5): WHAT A SURPRISE AND HOW ENJOYABLE. - THE WELCOME SURPRISED AND CHEERED US AFTER A DIFFICULT, THOUGH NOT TOO LONG JOURNEY. THE OWNERS COULD NOT DO ENOUGH FOR US. WE WOULD REVISIT THIS BOOKING AND TELL OTHERS ABOUT THIS UNUSUAL BUT
WONDERFUL DESTINATION. NOTHING AT ALL. ALL WAS AS WE WISHED.
- Marc (10/5): Great experience - Very lovely people, awesome accomodation.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - I booked this for my daughter so didn’t actually stay.
She said the hosts were very friendly and to give you a top score.
- Roland (10/5): Relaxing, quiet, central and sociable - Quiet, not too posh, near the Quay (3 minutes by bike!). Unexpected cut bread, butter, jam, marmalade, toaster, tea and real milk enabled a quick simple snack breakfast each morning! Super hosts. Lawn by the French windows of the garden extension and a covered area for my bike. Nothing that I was worried about.
- Peter (5/5): Served the purpose for our trip - It’s situation close to Exeter with parking I was not impressed having to shave in a kitchen sink
No wear to hang clothes no drawers for smalls
Could have been designed better for tow people
- Mandy (8/5): Very good except the air freshener - Breakfast location All the air fresheners
- Elizabeth (9/5): A comfortable and convenient accommodation where we would happily stay again. - The hosts were warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, even meeting us at train station when we arrived. Beds were extremely comfortable and facilities had everything we needed including access to laundry facilities. Location was an easy walk to centre of Exeter. Nothing.
- David (9/5): The hosts were exceptional, even offering to drive us to a restaurant for our evening meal! - Location very convenient for hospital visit.
- Paul (10/5): Trevor and Mary were fantastic communicators before I arrived. Upon arrival they were great hosts making me fell very we - I had my own private entrance. Access to a sunny garden with covered seating area. Even though I’m not a great sleeper, especially when in a new environment I felt comfortable and calm in this lovely quiet space. There’s nothing much to dislike really.
- Elena (9/5): It was different. - Liked that was clean and the garden. There were no mugs to make a tea or coffee. You couldn't watch the TV unless you stayed on a chair. There was cold air coming though the air vent in the wall. The stair going to the shower area were faulty and could fall and break something, especially if I was stepping on the edge of it.
- Eithne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional - Convenient location & hosts very helpful & friendly. Everything we needed for a one night stop.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Superb -
- Valeriy (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and friendly people.warm atmosphere.highly recommended
- Karen (10/5): Lovely couple and great accommodation - Mary and Trevor were very kind and picked me up from the bus stop once I coached down from Bristol Airport. I had an appointment at the RD&E hospital the next morning and I was shown where it was when I was picked up. It worked out as a 15 minute walk. I was very happy with the accommodation and bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this lovely place to anyone wanting to stay in that area. They also kindly took me to Exeter airport after my appointment. Definitely a 10/10 from me 😊
- Jennifer (10/5): I will be back! - Cosy and perfectly relaxing space. Amazing hosts. Wonderful welcoming people with hearts of gold! Nothing it was fantastic
