Guest Reviews
- Chris (6/5): Stress free and simple. - It’s in a pub garden. Perfect! And it didn’t break to bank.
The ability to come and go easily made it very handy, too. A window would have been lovely. Slept with the door open instead.
- Lorraine McVinnie (7/5): - Convenient, simple, pleasant host Too hot. Could have done with parking as there was a carpark next to the pub.
- Chelsea (10/5): - The beds were super comfortable, the staff were very accommodating and it was the perfect location.
- Nadia (5/5): - Gute Lage, sehr nah am Hafen und am Ferry Terminal
Gut für eine Nacht
Warme Dusche Sehr eng
Kein Fenster
Lüfter im Bad bleibt immer an
Sehr basic, das wäre ok für eine Nacht aber dafür viel zu teuer
- Helen (7/5): Basic bed with shower in tiny roon close to port - It was relatively cheap and close to the port. It was as described A small kettle would be good. It was very noisy with roads on 3 sides. Lots of late and early motorbikes
- Melanie (10/5): - Cosy and comfortable. WiFi included and nice garden. The pod has everything you need if you are just looking for a budget place to sleep, which we were. For the price we paid, we couldn't have wanted more, and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing value and delicious. Will stay again when visiting Poole :)
- Gunilla (2/5): Nothing glamping about this! - Wifi. 'Glam pod' isn't the correct word for a 6 square meter box without window, located on a small backyard of a pub besides a hard traffic street (see attached image) - with pub visitors drinking and smoking in the yard. We were aware of that this was a simple accommodation (as we just needed somewhere to sleep before catching an early ferry), but not this.
- Kathryn (7/5): Good stay and slept well - Functional and clean Hard to find but worth it
- Thompson (8/5): Very good - This is in an excellent location, just outside the centre so it is also quiet. The "glamping pods" are out the back of the pub. Everything was clean and working. The bunk beds were comfortable. We were given a friendly greeting when we arrived and everything was explained well. From booking to check out everything was very smooth. It isn't a glamping pod. It is a small room built out in the back garden. Just to manage your expectations.
- Roy (4/5): Overpriced would not stay there again. - It was a place to sleep at night. The overall place was very small and very basic ( I think it was a converted garden shed) the wood on the door was swollen and had a different hole cut outt for the door latch to close as you could not shut the door from the inside in the original door latch fitting. The shower place was very small could not have a decent shower without knocking into the wall. I also think the price was expensive for the standard of accomadation.
- Chris (3/5): Poor - Was very close to ferry terminal Was extremley basic
- William (5/5): Good value for money - Value for money suitable to spend the night close to ferry terminal. Noisy location and rooms not well sound insulated
- Matthew (8/5): Great - Location Bar not open late evening
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ivana (10/5): Great value - Exactly as described. Great value for money. Clean, great internet and close to Poole centre.
- Marko (1/5): Bad host - Responsive host When I was booking this accomodation by mistake I used false settings. I realised this while in communication with the host. I told the host that I am going to book elswhere and not use the booking (as the accomodations sleeps only adults and I was travelling with a child). Later I asked for payment refund for this booking but the host did not approve it (I booked on the same day that we were supposed to stay so there was very little chance that someone else would book if I didnt). I think this not the way that you treat guests or customers (the accomodation is run by a bar...)
- Nitin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Celia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Glamping pod Poole - The pod was situated in the garden of the Queen Mary's pub. It was a bed for the night. Ideal to brake the journey coming from South Wales to France. 3 minutes from Poole harbour. The room was clean and well presented.
Bedding and bath towels were clean.
Wifi, codes for doors were accessible from owner and with stickers on door to remember the codes. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best sleep as the next-door people were noisy, slaming the door to the bathroom many times throughout the night.
The bathroom door in my pod was very hard to open and shut.
- Mansbridge (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (7/5): Convenient for ferry - Clean, convenient and cost effective for a night's stay before catching the ferry. Quite noisy in the night.
- Jakob (4/5): Very basic. That's no problem, but too expensive for what it was. -
- Sarah (8/5): Great budget stay in a beautiful city - Very friendly staff. Comfortable bads & a great breakfast!
- Hayley (6/5): This is a really budget place to stay, it’s good for a place to lay your head. - The bunk beds were actually super comfortable and I had a really good sleep! No on-site parking despite there being spaces outside, we had to use the nearby multi-storey. The owner actually reimbursed us for this which was good of him.
- Joe-luka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (7/5): OK for a night's stay on your own - For what it is, this is perfect for one night if you are out in Poole. It's basic but OK. Probably a bit pricey for what you get really. Some of the finishing could be better, just needs a couple of bits tidying up.
- James (7/5): Decent for one night - A short 10/15 min walk to the port (where I was catching a ferry the next day).
An even shorter walk to the shops, restaurants and sea front.
The host was very friendly and helpful.
I was wished good luck and goodbye by a local cat when I left 😺 The room is very basic and not particularly big, but if, like me, you are just looking for a bed for the night near the port then you can't really go wrong.
Lots of helicopters seemed to fly over at night. I don't really understand why.
A little bit over priced for what you get, but I imagine it's cheaper than 99% of the other accommodation options nearby.
- David (8/5): Glamping - Was a nice little pod, it has all you need like a toilet and a shower. It's at the back of a lovely pub who do very nice food at great prices.
