- Khan (10/5): - Perfect cosy place, clean and comfortable
- Gaby (9/5): Cheap, clean and cosy. - Lovely and cosy. Comfortable and clean. Close to footpaths and lovely walks. Nothing
- Amy (9/5): Great little find - Lovely little spot to explore - we used for a base as seeing a show at the Minac Theatre All very good , parking is on a residential road and the bus stops right outside which didnt bother us but is a little noisy
- Laura (10/5): Cosy flat on the coast path - Very cosy room, much appreciated after a long day of walking. The check in was very easy, and the facilities were spotless - we were particularly glad that teabags and porridge oats were provided, as we arrived after the shops had closed (although made it in time for a meal at the North Inn). The bed was very comfortable, and the location incredibly peaceful - thoroughly recommended!
- Glenn (10/5): - Donna was great with communication.
The place is just perfect with everything you could possibly need .
Lovely and clean.
Shower was great especially after a long day of walking .
Thank you xxx

- Rachael (8/5): - Sunset place is the most adorable little stay. Donna has kitted it out extremely well. It's much bigger than what you see in the pictures, also has everything you need. Lovely place to stay.

- Simon (10/5): A hidden jewel! I may never stay in a hotel down there again! - It’s essentially a studio apartment in the guise of a converted garage. It has ALL the amenities you would want/need.
You can cook and/or entertain. You even have a little private patio with table and chairs to use.
It is immaculately clean. Shower is good and powerful, I’m 6ft 2 and 18 stone, I got in the shower fine. Bed is comfortable and the kitchen area is well stocked. Plates, cutlery and cooking amenities, hob, microwave, toaster and air fryer even!
Large wall mounted tv with free-view and the ability to sign into your own streaming apps. They also provide a free WiFi password for you, but if you’re on EE, you’ll get a strong 5G signal there.
15 minutes from Penzance it’s ideally located.
Bed was comfortable, you can control the heating yourself with an electric wall mounted radiator.
There is info leaflets on the table for any trips and a user guide from the proprietor, Donna on the table. Thy have thought of everything. Oh and did I mention there’s a fridge too? A full size fridge! Spar shop 300 yards at the top of the road for your milk and bacon…..sorted!!
I will be coming back for sure!! Didn’t bother me, I found it relaxing. But the rain, if heavy can be loud on the skylight. And parking can be an issue. I couldn’t park outside but there a plenty of other side streets just yards away.
- Kristien (8/5): Small but comfortable - Easy access, all amenities present. Small but comfortable. Lots of light due to a ceiling window. There is a little garden which I didn't make use of as it was in the shadow of the house in the afternoon, I sat instead on the pavement next to the house to fully enjoy the sun. There is a Spar nearby with most essentials. I liked the freedom of self check-in and check-out. It took me a while to figure out the shower - once I realised how to turn it on (pulling a string from the ceiling), it still gave me only a few seconds worth of warm water. With some patience, it did work properly though - and I might've cleared it up faster if I had taken the effort of contacting the host. The fan makes rather a lot of noise but should be kept on during the night to prevent the space from becoming too humid.
The bed is spacious and comfortable though the edges seem to bend down just a little.

- Kathryn (10/5): Perfect stay, close to the coastal path, quiet and spotlessly clean - Spotlessly clea, well equipped, perfect for the coastal path Nothing

- Cross (10/5): Clean, quiet, comfy bed, good location and excellent host. - Very clean and tidy. Comfy bed. Good size TV. All amenities provided. Very quiet location. Parking right outside the door. Good location near a shop and main road. Snacks a bonus! Donna responded immediately to all messages. Overall very happy with the accommodation.

- David (8/5): -
- Catherine (9/5): Perfect stopover when walking the south west coast path - It has everything you could need in a small, but perfectly formed little space. Perfect for a stop along the south west coast path.
- RAHMAN (10/5): - Beautiful location and clean, cosy room with required amenities
- Simon (9/5): Great little snug stopover on the SWCP - Such a cosy little hideaway on the South West coast path. Great communication from Donna, the host, in advance. The annexe is ingeniously organised, with everything I needed in a compact space. Warm, snug, welcoming, and I slept like a baby. There was nothing not to like about Sunset Place, other than (after walking 18 miles) it was a 20 minute walk uphill from the coast path!
- Mark (6/5): - Very basic Very small
- Peter (7/5): -
- Gayara (10/5): Great place for a short stay - We stayed at Donna’s homestay for two nights and had a very comfortable stay. Donna has provided everything you could possibly need for a short stay, which made it feel so convenient and welcoming.
And the location was great. We can walk down to beach area with a great view within few minutes down the road..
Highly recommend! Nothing
- Paul D (8/5): Well equipped compact accommodation - For such a small space the property was very well equipped and spotlessly clean.
10 min drive to Land's End Airport. Since the accommodation is very compact it would probably only suit a single traveller for more than one night.
The parking is directly outside but not off road, albeit very quiet.
- Maddalena (10/5): Semplice e perfetto - Esperienza molto piacevole: posizione eccellente e facile da raggiungere nel nostro tragitto a piedi, casa confortevole e ben organizzata, indicazioni chiarissime, host gentile e disponibile!
- Francesca (9/5): - Very cute and cozy place with fully equipped kitchenette Nothing
- Peter (7/5): - No Contact with owner ?!?!
Fortunately we were greeted, made to feel welcome and given advice on attractions in the area by people living across the road.
- Anneke (9/5): - Leuke extra's dat je er buiten kunt zitten, de bus voor de deur stopt en je op loopafstand een winkel, pub en de tinmijnen hebt
- Mark (10/5): - The building was amazing...What a clever idea to have a room like that. Nothing
- graham (10/5): This exceeded my expectations - Some breakfast was provided but I was leaving early so I only took a coffee. The host seems to have thought of everything. How she has provided a full kitchen, ironing board, table for two and a shower en suite in such a small space is baffling. I have stayed in two bedroom apartments with fewer facilities. Add the helpful advice on local amenities and a very quiet night sleep. Perfect. I would rebook if I return next year. Nothing
- Jacqueline (9/5): - Ideal location for where we wanted to visit
- Martina (8/5): Very good - Very peaceful place, comfortable bed and furnished kitchen.
Just 3 minutes walking away from the supermarket and bus stop.
- Lyn (8/5): Very good -
- Tayla (9/5): Superb - The small space is incredibly well thought out, with lots of hooks to hang things on, so we felt as though we had plenty of space. Cooking dinner and breakfast was hassle-free as the appliances are great quality; we used the induction hob and the microwave-oven on the oven setting, both worked great. Comfy bed and the inclusion of a fan was much appreciated in July. The bathroom was also very clean. Great value for money.
- Lise (9/5): Superb -
- Ioan (8/5): Very good - All you need in a small room.
The bed is very comfy, my wife have back problems and said it was the best mattress she slept on. 👍👍 When is raining and windy outside is noisy !
You need ear plugs to sleep.
- Adrian (10/5): Handy Sunset Place - It was clean, easy to find and very well appointed. Would certainly recommend it and I would book again when I am in the area doing another LEJOG Leaving 😢 Donna came when I was leaving, it was a pleasure to meet you
- Neil (8/5): Comfy, clean and well equipped - Comfortable, clean, well equipped. The description of the parking said it was On-site, Private and Free. This was incorrect. The parking was free but on the public street. The owner had placed a No Parking sign outside the unit’s door and neighbours appeared to respect this as it was available when I arrived.
- Lebuinus (10/5): Cute and cosy! - This was a great little tiny house that provided us with a great respite after our long walk. Really appreciated the neighbour's, Christine and Martin, andvice and assistance too!
- Jennifer (7/5): Good - The room was well equipped with kitchen needs
Close to local grocery and pub
Host was helpful when we phoned for information Place is very small
No opening windows so had to open door, which is right on street, for air!
Felt a little cramped.
Only place to sit is on bed.
Having said this, the price is reasonable and there's not much accommodation when walking SWCP to Pendeen
- Audrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Wow. This self-contained apartment was wonderful. Everything you need, including food. It was a cosy place to hide away from the wet weather. Nothing I can think of.
- Simon (8/5): Great little place to stay at the end of a days walk - and a good pub not far away to walk for dinner -
- Tracey (10/5): Great location for SWCP walkers! - Perfect location on the south west coast path. The hosts have really made the most of the space and there were lots of nice additional touches. The room was clean, the shower powerful and the bed comfortable. /
- David (7/5): Good value for a sole occupant - will stay again - Good value and well kitted out for small space
- Kassandra (10/5): Simply amazing! - AMAZING little home away from home! It had everything you need for a short or long stay, with a kitchen very well equipped. On your doorstep you have the bus stop, the public footpath to the coast path, a little SPAR market at the end of the street and a small private outside area. Great value for money!
Donna, I cannot thank you enough for making me feel like home!!! Someone could notice some tiny things not to like, but they are not worth mentioning.
- Belinda (10/5): Exceptional - Small but really well thought out space. Everything you could ever need was provided, very thoughtful to leave tea/ biscuits/ porridge etc. Spotless little oasis, we had the best sleep here.
- Wendy (10/5): Perfect - The location was perfect, and it was so helpful to have the snacks as I’d arrived late. The property has everything you could possibly need - perfect. I’d certainly go back again. Nothing
- Taliaferro (7/5): Good -
- Brett (10/5): Exceptional - Everything from how easy check in was, to the food supplies in the cupboard. Was a very pleasant stay. Bed was comfortable and all other facilities were perfect. Would definitely book again if we end up back around Cornwall!
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - It’s a lil cosy place. You can’t find a better place for this price. Thank you 🙏
- Peter (8/5): Lovely quiet, well equipped accommodation in Lower Boscaswell. - Breakfast was adequate. Cereal/porridge/tea/coffee is provided. The location is ideal for exploring the Lands End area. It is quiet and peaceful. The lighting is excellent, and there are plenty of sockets including at the bedside. The appliances include microwave and kettle etc. and the facilities are great. I found the microwave hard to drive, but succeeded. Then I found the manuals for everything included in a folder. The WiFi is included and worked well.
Thanks for a nice stay.
- James (9/5): Good facilities with nice snack touches and great location for Geevor - Accurate photos and description with a location that's very convenient for those who know that a walk across the fields from here is an easy way to get to Geevor and Levant mines.
- Chris (9/5): Superb - A hidden gem, with everything I needed plus more, in a space that didn't seem possible. Plenty of room for me.
Loved the extra breakfast bits and the communication from the owner, recommending the pub for an evening meal.
- Robert (9/5): This was a welcome wee haven after a wet day walking. Warm and cosy with a great pub nearby -
- Bob (9/5): Superb - Lots of fun stuff left for us there. Excellent utilization of space. Everything was great! Bed too soft on edge
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jake (10/5): Great place Loved it - Great place what a surprise from them outside it looks just okay, then you go in and it's awesome , host had considered everything and was very thoughtful even providing breakfast and some.emergency things to eat It says them first aid kit is in the cupboard above microwave it's actually in the bottom of the the little basket draws
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hock (2/5): Damp and dirty - The items provided in the kitchen give the opportunity to cook as you wish. With a fridge, fully stocked kitchen utensils cupboard, microwave, kettle and portable hob. Unfortunately there was damp and mold everywhere. On first view it looks like a lovely little place, but then you notice the mold and damp around the skylight, by the door, right next to where your face is when you sleep! A long handled duster is provided to use, yet it appeared that the property hadn't been cleaned for a while before our visit. The cups and glasses were dusty, the shelves were thick with dust, the top of the clothes rack hanger was grey with dust too. Heck, even the provided miniature soap bottles were dirty and moldy! It really is a shame. My review had to be provided later than I would have liked, because my wife and I have been unwell since leaving the property. My wife has Severe lung conditions so being surrounded by all the mold and dust has made her conditions flare up and she's been unwell since. Almost 2 weeks after our anniversary and she's still recovering. If the mold was sorted and the property cleaned, along with the gaps in the walls being filled, we would have given 5/5.
- Leonie (7/5): Convenient for walking the South West Coastal Path - Comfortable and clean. Small but with all of the facilities needed,
- Lesley (10/5): Lovely little property with excellent customer service - Lovely and clean and comfortable
- Justine (8/5): Small but perfectly formed - Great use of space with everything you need. Nice to have a skylight too. Parking right outside and a 5 min walk to the pub.
- Steve (9/5): Small garage conversion but done nicely with a shower and cooking area. Breakfast snacks provided. -
- Shah (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - This is a brilliant little place to spend a few nights. Very cosy and comfortable and well thought out. It had everything we needed. It's also in a great location, handy spar shop, great pub with good food and beer, and easy access to the most impressive coastline and the historic tin mining area. Nothing
- Graham (10/5): Used for one night only whilst walking South West Coast Path - Nice private space after a long walk along the SWCP Couldnt fault anything
- Jeroen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hatty (10/5): This is a great space with everything you need. -
- Rob (9/5): Perfect overnight stop - Great little place for overnight stay. Amazing facilities for a converted garage. I would use this again if in the area. Owner really friendly and helpful. No complaints
- Therdtham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (10/5): I felt well looked after even though I didn’t meet the host - clean and everything I needed
- Nichola (9/5): Absolute little gem, perfect for two. - Very easy to find, parked right outside. Perfect self contained mini apartment, everything we needed for a weekend stay. Decorated beautifully and a lot nicer than the majority of hotel rooms I've stayed in. Very quiet and only 5 mins down the road from St Just. Lovely pub nearby too. Shower pressure a little low, but good enough. Everything else was great!
- Katherine (9/5): Superb - Very well equipped, good value for money and well located for walking the South West Coast Path All good
- Lynnette (8/5): Very good - Great location 10 minute walk to the cliff for an amazing sunset. Compact space, but had everything needed. Comfy bed. Low pressure shower, outdoor area not very inviting. Probably meant for smokers only.
- Cheryl (6/5): Pleasant -
- Danut (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Very cozy, well presented place with all you need to feel like at home. Sunset place is little gem in a beautiful area to explore.
Thank you Donna for creating this place and giving us an opportunity to visit again! Best regards from Linda and Janis
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Béla (10/5): Best present was in Cornwall - Everything have been proper The short ti we spent there
- Elliott (7/5): Very handy for the coast path - This was an ideal place for a one-night stop while we were walking the coast path. Donna had thoughtfully provided everything needed for a comfortable stay, all carefully tucked into the compact space of a carefully converted garage. It was a short walk up the road to the pub for an evening meal (and they do breakfasts too). The local spar is also handy for picnic supplies.
- Davina (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for what I needed- self-contained annexe with little kitchenette and bathroom. Easy to find with parking right outside the door and keybox access so that there's no concerns regarding late arrival. Bed nice and comfortable, plenty of tea and coffee available too. Lovely location and would definitely recommend!
